Cranberry Juice

Happy Halloween!It really didn't feel like Halloween since we all celebrated around here last Thursday.This morning my 9am class was cancelled so I got to go back to bed.When I got up, Katie and I got to sit,eat donuts and watch t.v which was nice to just relax for a bit.Then I went to Foundations where we talked about photojournalism all class.My Freshman Seminar teacher came in and we got to see her harleyquin costume. After class I went and ate lunch with my friends.I came back to the room before class and played some Halloween music.I went to Ideas and Visual Arts was fine. We talked about our final projects.One of the choices you can do a controversy and present it some way so I think I'm going to do the banning of the "r" word. After class I came back to my dorm.I talked to Chris for a little bit then Nora called me to come outside. When I got outside she and Morgan silly stringed me. They got Sean to while I was out there. We came back to my room and I read day 2 on reading the bible in 182 while they chatted. Day 2 was Genesis 8-11 and Job 1-5. When Katie got back from class she,Mike,Nora and I left for K.C. To see Sean M. When we got there he had to leave for a while but we got to talk to his parents. When he got back to the room, we played apples to apples and talked with him. I won by the way just saying. The reason tonights blog title is cranberry juice is because Whitney was drinking a bottle of tonight and then when we walked in Sean's room we saw a cup of what looked like it but it was really blood.Whitney was like darn, I was hoping that was cranberry juice. About 7:30 we started getting hungry so we went to the McDonalds down stairs and got some food. We came back up,said our goodbyes and left. When we got back her we decided to watch a movie. Mike,Katie and I are watching the pursuit of happiness right now. Well until tomorrow!

Dinosaur

I am blogging sort of earlier for me because I plan on going to bed soon so that I won't start off my week tired. This morning I got up and went to church with Lauren,Kaci,Russ and his family. The minister did a great job which I haven't heard a sermon I didn't like yet. We got there a few minutes late and walked in right when they were singing O Happy Day so of course Kaci and I had to do the motions. After church, Russ's parents took us out to eat at Heroes and Justin came with us. Heroes was very good and thank them a bunch for taking us out. It was a good lunch just getting to enjoy each others company and chat. After lunch, we came back to UCC and said goodbye to Russ's family then Russ, Kaci and I watched Glee. I had a hard time staying awake through a few of the episodes. I got some mini naps in between though. We watched several episodes and then around five Katie got back from St.Louis. I know there is times when we get on each others nerves but I can honestly say I missed my roommate this weekend. I don't know how to describe it but it was oddly quiet around here. I get so used to sleeping with another person in the room that when she's gone I feel like something isn't right. So kind of going backwards in the day, this morning I woke up in the middle of the night and had texts from UCM that there was a shooting then the next one said the suspect was in custody. Now before I worry anyone it was not on campus, they just sent out an alert so people could be aware. It was on south street which is a few streets away. There were 2 victims:one with a shot to the leg, one with a shot to the stomach and both are doing fine. It is just crazy to think that something like that could happen near you because coming from a small town I am not used to stuff like that.Ok going back to Katie coming back. So after she got back, we went to supper. It was nice having almost everyone back. After supper I came back and skyped my bestest friend Ashley and then got to talk to my momma for a while.I miss them both but will get to see them this weekend! Then I did some homework and then read day 1 on reading the bible in 182 days. Today was Genesis 1-7. I am so excited about this challenge because I have wanted to for a while and its going to give me the chance to experience the bible fresh and with a new perspective. Tonight's blog title is dinosaur because as I was reading about the ark, I was wondering about if dinosaurs made it on the ark or what really happened but I am going to have to keep reading to know more. It was a great weekend and I feel pretty blessed. Well I am off to bed. Good night!

Air quotes

My morning started out very early since I was supposed to be in Jeff City at 8. I left here about 6:15 and managed to make it to the Jefferson State building without getting lost. I was the main media person for the day so I got to tweet and post to facebook as well as taking pictures. They were going to have me take pictures on the top floor but there were already two photographers up there so I went to the 2nd floor where they were doing the practice repels. Since I was still going to be off ground level, I got to put on the gear like everyone else, put on a helmet and get my camera strapped to me so that no objects would fall and hurt me and I would drop any objects that would fall and hurt someone else. Being at the mini wall was really interesting because I got to see everyone's expressions when they realized what they had decided to do. Some people would be like ya I can do this and then immediately start freaking out as they went down the wall but no matter the person, they all smiled and said they were definitely glad they decided to do it. For a little while during the day I got to go outside to were the crowd was and watch. I got to see many of my SOMO family members and catch up with some National Games friends. Megan Neighbors was there with her baby girl. Her baby has the bluest eyes and is so cute! Over the Edge was just a really great time because I got to hear a lot of stories and make some new friends. I struggled some this morning posting to facebook because my phone was being super great but by the afternoon, I had the kinks worked out. Next year, I am 100% sure that I want to go Over the Edge. After loading pictures onto the computer and saying goodbye I was back to the burg. When I got back everyone was hanging out in Lauren M.'s room. There was an international festival going on in the union so walked over hoping to eat some food but it cost $8 so we went and ate at Todd. Russ's family came up for the weekend so we got to see them. After dinner Justin, Joseph,Lauren, Lauren,Dalton,Kaci, Sean,Morgan, Russ, Russ's brother Kyle and I played Just Dance 2 in my room. We had fun and the guys actually got into not just moving the remote only (cough cough Brett cough cough).lol. Then Kaci, Justin,Joseph, Russ, Kyle and I went to Justin's room to watch Radio! Always a great movie. The others went to the Rec. Russ hit me with a pillow and a board on Justin's bed fell and hit him.Karma haha! Then I came upstairs and chatted with the others for a little bit and now I am going to bed so I am not so tired tomorrow. Random things of the day the guy at the mini wall that told everyone to do had metaphors for everything like your chances of the rope breaking are the same as falling into ice while getting your arm bit off by a shark and winning the lottery. I used air quotes at supper so Morgan and I were joking that we should take air quotes alot. Diane and the others sent 2 boxes of donuts and a half a gallon of juice home with me.Guess where my friends will be at this week.Apparently it was the night of arguing (well not really arguing just disagreeing)with people because I was arguing with Brett on facebook and Kyle about whether cheerleading was a sport. Today was a reminder of why I want to be a photographer/work some in public relations. I love it and working with the athletes. O I almost forgot I got to see Sharlet and Tina today which was awesome because I missed them so much!I miss my whole National Games tennis crew. Well I am off to bed. Good night!

Wicked

Every conversation today mentioned something about the cardinals game.When I got up Mike and Katie were leaving to go home for the weekend. I got up and got ready for class. In foundations we were printing still today.I printed my raccoon picture and one of my flower pictures off. If I would have known a head of time I actually could of went home this weekend for the stuco district meeting but thats ok, I had a great time here. After class I ate lunch with my friends then came back to my room. Idea and Visual Arts was cancelled so I was able to attend the SO college webinar. I learned some great information about it and I am really excited about trying to get one started here. If I could get one started that would achieve both of my goals for the year of getting information out about Special Olympics and spreading the word to end the "R" word. After the webinar, I took a 2 hour nap which was great and I am going to need it since I have to get up at 6 tomorrow. After my nap, I finished my psychology paper and since I didn't have any more homework I watched some t.v. Dalton came in and watched FRIENDS with me for a little bit then we went to eat. They were serving these chicken sliders for dinner and the cook put some sauce on it. Dalton was like o its just butter but when I asked the cook, he told me it was honey mustard. Everyone knows my hatred for mustard so Dalton ate them lol. After we ate, I came back and messed around with photo shop. Then at 5:30 my friends and I ate dinner, this time I actually ate food. I came back to my room after dinner and got ready for the bonfire/hayride. Lauren B. and I walked over to CCH. Then we got in the car with Kirstin and went to the hayride. We jammed out to the Wicked soundtrack on the way there and the way back. The bonfire/hayride was lot of fun because we all hung out,talked, ate smores and drink hot chocolate or apple cider. There were lots of cats there but they were wild so I made it my goal to catch one. I succeeded even though the cat was growling and not happy. I miss my cats from home so much! We took the hayride which was also fun because Kirstin,Heather and I sang a bunch of songs and we looked at the stars. Some people were dressed up in costumes like Sean was Aladdin and Lauren B. was a fairy. Lauren and I wanted to watch some of the Cardinals game so Kirstin was very kind and brought us back in time to see the last 3 innings. The cardinals won 6-2!!!!!!!!World Series win number 11. They deserved it after coming back from being way behind in the season. Then I came back to UCC. Lauren and Sean wanted to watch a movie but I told them I couldn't since I have to get up early but I watched the first 20 mins of the Notebook with them since I love movie. It was a great Friday! Well I must go to bed. Good night!

Halloween Clown Cat

If there was ever a day to be a cardinals fan today is the day. The game started off rough but the cardinals proved why they made it this far.It only took 11 innings but the cards won! David Freese is the hero once again! A lot of people were sure the Rangers were winning it tonight but tomorrow the cinderella story will be complete when the Cardinals are the 2011 World Series Champs. The dorms are crazy right now as I'm sure all over Missouri is crazy. They don't call us the show me state for a reason. Well now onto the rest of my day, not like it matters after that. I only had one class today because psychology was cancelled. O I didn't have nightmares about kittens but I did have a nightmare about snakes. So I went to T and C this morning which I usually dread but there were no critiques this week and we just talked about light room which I can handle. So after class I came back and half took a nap/ half watched t.v. Then I went and ate lunch with my friends. After lunch, I probably should have been productive but I watched To Save a Life which I would say was productive. After it was over I started on my homework, watched some friends, did dishes and the vacuumed so I guess it wasn't a wasted day. At 6 we went to Todd and ate. Then Kaitlin, Russ and I went to Dollar General to get cans so we could get into the Oksoberfest. Russ forgot his cans after he payed for them so we had to go back and pick them up lol. When got back we flipped back and forth between the game and spongebob and just hung out in my room. There were cute little tricker treaters all over because some dorms were handing out candy. At 8 we went to Diemer we went to the Oksoberfest.We ate some food and danced for a little bit then left. We went to Yaeter for the haunted tours. I really don't like haunted things since I was scarred by the Canton haunted trail as a kid but I had Katie or Kaitlin stay by me at all times and it really wasn't even scary. Kaitlin and I didn't go into the scary rooms where screams were coming from but the one room we did go into Sean made a bunch of jokes so it was funny. While we were waiting in line to take the tour, there was this random halloween clown cat so I picked it up and was making cat noises at people with it and it ended up going on the tour with me too. I really wanted to leave it in the haunted 3rd floor like in a window and people would walk by and be like omg the ghost put that cat there. After the scary part of the tour we went to the haunted 3rd floor and saw all the scary stories that have supposedly happened. It was kind of lame but yet it was fun because I was with my friends. After it was over Katie and I came back to the room and had a good chat on the way back. We thought maybe we would get to bed early HA but it was so worth it staying up. Great day! Well I am going to bed, good night!

Purple Tights

Wednesday which means the week is half over.It has actually gone fast. This morning it was pouring outside and 30 degrees cooler. I got to sport my rain boots yet once again. I was hoping my library class was cancelled but it wasn't so I put on a happy face and went to class. When it was over I came back to my room for a little bit and watched Gilmore Girls then I went to Foundations. We just did printing tutorials in class so it went pretty quick. After class I went and ate lunch with my friends. At 1 I went to Ideas and Visual Arts. Third class that she hasn't made my group get up and talk because we either run out of time or she forgets we haven't gone but that is just fine with me. When I got back to my room I took a nap. When I woke up I did some homework and when Katie got back I made her be my test subject for my next photo assignment. Then I lounged around for a little bit. At 6 I ate supper with my friends like usual. This supper was unique though because we were all sitting around 2 square tables pushed together so we played telephone. One time it was Russ is a purple platypus and it ended up I wear purple tights. Russ was right next to me and when I said it to him, he changed it from Russ wears purple tights to I wear purple tights. Then I came back to the room and listened to Christmas music. I know its early but I was just in the mood for it. Kaci, Katie and I all walked over to DIG. We are still talking about David. After DIG Katie, Russ, Kaci, and I walked back. We all got Kaci by throwing leaves at here when she walked out of CCH. Then Russ shoved leaves in my hood and then I held Katie while Russ got her with leaves. Needless to say we all got hit by leaves except Russ. His time is coming though :P. After we said goodbye to Kaci, the 3 of us raced back to UCC. Sam,Chris,Sean M, Nora, Mike,Katie,Whitney, Morgan and I watched The Roommate in Mike's room. It was not that good because the creepy roommate stole the cute little kitten from their room and "got rid of it." I don't know why she did but even  when other people died in the movie, I was still sad about the kitten. The rest of the movie was weird too. I pray for no nightmares tonight. Well I am off to bed.Good night!

Blustery Day

Last night was not a good night of sleep.I set my alarm clock for 7 so that I could get up and register for classes, then go back to sleep. I have this thing that if I set my alarm for something important besides getting up for class that I will wake up multiple times thinking its that time already. I finally did get some sleep however and when 7 came I was enrolled in spring classes. I got everything I wanted except Intro to Studio was out of slots so I have to talk to the professor tomorrow and see if I can get in. I went back to sleep after getting enrolled and woke up to go to Freshman Seminar. That class was fun because we watched some videos about technology facts that were pretty shocking and we watched an inspirational video. Psychology was about as good as it usually is. We are talking about intellectual disorders so we started talking about down syndrome. I hate that mental retardation is the scientific term because it stings every time she uses it and I can't say anything because it supposedly is correct.  After class I ate lunch with my friends, then Nora and I went to small group. I like my small group alot because we can be open to each other. After small group I came back and started a load of laundry then watched some FRIENDS. After doing laundry I straightened up all my drawers and organized everything. At 6 we piled in Whitney's car and went to supper then we came back and Kaitlin, Morgan, Lauren, and I had a Final Destination marathon. We watched the 2,3,and 4th one. It was so windy out today which made me come up with tonight's blog title. It makes me think of Winnie the Pooh and how they would always talk about the blustery day when it was extremely windy. All the dorms are so hot because they turned the heat on last week that now everyone is begging for A.C. The only problem is its supposed to be in the 50s tomorrow and soon everyone will be begging for the heat back. For now I guess we just have to live with it. Well I am off to bed.. Good night!

Don't hit the paddle or the paddle will hit you

I was feeling much better this morning. Although i didn't start off my morning good because my alarm didn't go off so I slept through my 9am class. I emailed the teacher and told her,she said I didn't miss a whole lot. Thank goodness she is understanding. I got up and talked to my momma for a little bit. I went to Foundations. We came up with themes for our next assignment today which was fun, the theme with the most votes is time so it will be fun coming up with pictures for that. I went and ate lunch with my friends. Then I went to my last class of the day-Ideas and Visual Arts.I didn't mind it too much today because we talked about an artist who was a photographer. After class I read a little for my small group tomorrow and then took a short nap. When I woke up, I read some more. At 6 I went and ate supper with my friends then came back and read some more. Dalton and I watched Pawn Stars and then the baseball game when it came on. Russ came and watched it and Mike,Katie, and Sean M. were in and out of here during the game. The cardinals were playing good in the beginning but quickly fell apart. Hopefully Wednesday, they can come back and tie the series up. Katie has a sorority thing at 1 am so she fell asleep early. Russ and I passed an imaginary ball back and forth so we wouldn't disturb her lol. Sean M. got back around 9, he wasn't able to have surgery to but probably will towards the weekend. I am getting really bad at remembering to explain blog titles lately. Yesterdays was about the type of ribs we ate at rib crib because Russ said they were famous in St. Louis. Tonight's blog title is because Russ and I were trying to get the soccer ball from one another and we almost hit Katie's sorority paddle and she told us if we hit, it was going to hit us back. I almost forgot Jauan came in here today and he tried to sneak my Tinkerbell blanket out. He didn't get out of the room before I locked the door and tried to get him to leave it. I grabbed it but then after I tried to lay on it on the ground, he got it back. Jauan thought he would win no problem but I grew up with an older brother so I don't give in so easily. He finally gave it back hehe. Well I am going to bed. Good night!

Famous in St. Louis

This morning Katie and I got up and went to church with Russ,Mike and the Tades. We went to the donut shop before like always. The service was good. After we went to Rib Crib. I got a shrimp and rib combo which was so delicious. The Tade's treated us to lunch which was so nice.I can't thank them enough because when you are a college student no matter how good your dorm food is, it gets old after a while and anything new tastes great. After we came back to the dorm. I went to Kaci's room and to chat with her family for awhile. I then said my goodbyes because I had to come back do homework. After I gave Brett his hug, Kaci was like wait I need a picture. So then we spent the next ten minutes trying to get Brett to do it again and he finally gave me another hug lol. It was nice having them here for the weekend. I came back to my room and got ready to start on my homework but was so tired I took a nap. Although I am sure I could of slept all afternoon, I made myself get up at 4 and do homework. I read my photography and took the quiz then put pictures from this weekend on facebook. Then I went and ate supper with my friends. When I got back I worked on my paper and Katie texted me telling me that Sean M. was in the hospital. Apparently he got a knee to the forehead playing football and now has a fracture in his skull.They took him to Kansas City for surgery but I guess they aren't going to do it until tomorrow so please be praying for him. I watched the cardinals game for a little bit but it was not good. I called mom and chatted with her for little bit. Then even though I was tired I went and played fugitive so I wouldn't be pressured into playing anymore. I probably should of played on a night when I was in a better mood because I was kind of overwhelmed with things and let it lose (crying not yelling) when I went down to Mike's room. I just need to let it out I guess.So I played one round and then came back here. I am going to go to bed pretty soon though so that I start out the week ahead on sleep.This is one of those weekends when it seems like there is an especially big prayer list. I am not going to get into a long story but just keep my family in your prayers, keep Sean in your prayers, a friend of mine's brother, and I heard the fire engine go by several times tonight so prayers for those situations. My back is starting to do better :). Here's to a good week. O the cardinals lost which isn't good but they are going to come back with a win tomorrow. Well I am going to bed. Good night!

It's the desert

Wonderful Saturday is all I got to say!After getting to bed after two this morning we managed to get up almost in time to meet the others at 11 to walk over to the amphitheater to get free shirts. Me being the scheduling person I am knew there would be a long line for free shirts so I had us over there by 11:15 to be early for 11:30 when it started.There was actually a line when we got there but not a very bad one.When they started we had to do three activities and get a card punched to receive the shirt. So we did this football throw thing, got mule tattoos and filled out a card of our guesses of which teams would win like mizzou vs oklahoma. Then we got our free black out shirts. We were already next to Todd so we got Nora and ate there. Brett got to see how great college food is lol. After eating we walked back to my room and painted faces. Brett and Mike both got full red faces with black words on them. Kaci did black and red stripes. Nora and I both did black and red stripes like the football players wear.The girls sprayed there hair with glitter, put ribbon in and we were ready to go. It took a little bit longer then expected because Katie was over there already and had called me to see where we were. We were about 10 mins late. The game was not as good as they usually are because we weren't playing very good and Pitt State is undefeated.We lost 34-17. We only stayed till the half though. Kaci was supposed to get to do the movie challenge but they ran out of time at the half so she didn't get to. After the game we came back to the room and everyone took their paint off. Then we went outside while Brett,Katie,and Mike played soccer, Kaci and I hacked their phones. Then Mike wanted to play tennis so he got my racket and tennis balls out of my trunk (he is still in the process of healing his broken hand). I tossed some balls to Brett for a little bit with Katie while he hit them then I passed the soccer ball back and forth while the others continued to hit tennis balls. I thought since Kaci hacked me once today, she wouldn't do it again...wrong.After being outside for awhile we got hungry so we went to the dining hall and ate with Lauren, and a few of Kaci's friends. She went back and played video games with them while Brett came back to UCC and played video games with Mike and Katie in Mike's room. I wasn't feeling very well so I didn't do much. I got to skype with Ashley for a little bit before the cardinals game. At 7 we all watched the cardinals game in Kaci's room. Around 9 her parents got there and brought snacks and bought pizza for us. the Tade's are so nice except Brett haha just kidding Brett.The cardinals won 16-7! It was a great game becuase Pujols got 3 home runs and the Rangers made a few key errors in the game. A rangers fan threw a ball on the field at the same time a cardinals person was catching a fly ball. The cardinals player still caught it but guess what gets to happen to that fan. Probably a little jail time and never allowed at a game again.Hope paying thousands of dollars to be removed was worth it. Mike told us the correct way to peel a banana tonight was to peel it from the bottom not how you normally do because that is not how monkeys do it.bahaha.When we were taking off our paint, Brett left the red on his beard so he was red beard the pirate argh.While watching the cardinals game, Kaci was like this isn't social hour but she said it towards the players talking on t.v. when we all thought she was telling her mom that during the game.Another great random moment today,Russ saw Shelby(Kaci's roommate)'s sign on the wall that said its better in the south and he's like "does she support slavery." Tonights blog title is from Katie having some brown rice on her plate at supper and she's like "look Rachel it's the desert."hehehe. I am sure there were probably a bunch more quotable quotes today but those are just a few that stood out. Well I am going to go to bed so I won't be tired for church tomorrow.Good night!

Shut up and bowl

Friday!This morning I got to sleep in later since I don't have class till 11 on Fridays.We watched a photography movie and he brought us popcorn. No one was taking it so he made everyone take a bag.It was funny because he was like if I spend 40mins popping it,you can't let it go to waste. Then I met my friends for lunch. After lunch I did the dishes then went to class.It went fast and she let us out 10mins early which never happens. I went to the writing center afterwards so I could help with my paper.Then I went to my doctors appointment. After being there for an hour and a half, I was finally done. I found out my kidneys have been causing my back pain and I got some medicine. Kaitli,Russ and I made a trip to Wal-Mart.Then Russ and I went to Hibbets on the way back and Kaitlin went to her dads house. Russ,Katie,Mike and I ate supper at like normal but half of our friends went home this weekend. When we got back we hung in my and Katies room. I skyped mom for a little bit and the others thought it would be fun to skype me whenm we were all in the same room. Brett finally got there like a quarter till nine. After he officially met everyone we all played Just Dance. Then we all walked over to Kacis room.We went bowling after in the union. Glow bowling is so cool. Kaci,Brett and I bowled on one lane and Katie,Mike,Russ and Lauren B bowled on the other. Kaci won and I got second on our lane hehe. After bowling we came back and watched Rocky Horror Picture Show in Mikes room.Nora and Sean came and watched it with us.Well until tomorrow!

The opposite of boring

This morning Katie and I both got to sleep in later since both of earlier classes were cancelled. I went to psychology at 11. I don't know how serious I can take that class anymore since she gives us time to study for our quizzes but then she just tells us the answers and gives full credit.  After class I went and lunch with some of my friends. So I told Katie that if my back hurt today that I was finally going to go see a doctor. I walked over to the Health Center but they can't get me in until 2:30 tomorrow. So please be praying that the doctor can help me somehow. I really don't want to spend the entire week unable to do stuff like play Just Dance. I put a photo assignment on the server then came back to my room and got to working on my paper some more. At 3 Kirstin and I went to Sonic. She got an ocean water slush that was interesting because of the coconut in it. I got a strawberry,watermelon,green apple slush which I thought was great. After Sonic we went to Hastings and looked at the random things there. It was a lot of fun getting to hang out with her for a while. Then Mike and Katie were impatient about going to Wal-Mart so Kirstin dropped me off there so I could meet up with them and get the things on my list. Jauan and Whitney were there with them too. We came back and I finished my paper! Then we all went to Todd to eat. When we got back Kaitlin, Russ and I watched a little bit of the cardinals game and threw the soccer ball across the hall at Dalton. Then the 3 of us went to the Union to see Horrible Bosses. I don't recommend it because there was so much cussing and it was kind of nasty. There was a guy behind us that was so obnoxious and laughing threw the entire thing. It wasn't very late when the movie got over so we came back and watched John Tucker Must Die with Bronco and Dalton. The cardinals lost the second game of the series :(. Now we are watching Fame. It was a pretty good Thursday I would say. :)

Is the movie paused?

Even with my back hurting this has been one of the best weeks I have had in a while. God got to work in my life alot today. My library class was not cancelled today but I didn't really mind so much. When I got back though, my back was hurting  so bad so I called my grandma and her pray for it.It was feeling better for a while. Then I got to witness to someone about healing which was pretty cool. When I got off the phone to my grandma, I was crying and Katie wondered what was wrong but they were happy tears because I was so happy that my back was being healed and my grandma tells me how proud she is of me every time she sees me and it makes me so happy. I went to my Foundations class which has been pretty fun lately since we joke around alot. I went and ate lunch with Kaci, Katie, Mike,Lauren,and Sean at noon. Then I went to Ideas and Visual Arts. After my classes I was in a get stuff done mood. I spent the afternoon getting a page done on my research paper, doing a few photo assignments, and Katie and I vacuumed so our floor looks so much better (well Lauren just dropped puppy chow on my floor but it looks mostly better). Dalton came and hung out for awhile while Katie went to her sorority thing. Then my friends and I went to supper. When got back Russ,Nora and I watched Rocky Horror Glee Show then a bunch of us went to DIG. Kaitlin got to go with us tonight. There were not very many people at DIG tonight probably because most people were watching the World Series. It was good like always.When we got back the cardinals were winning. Some of us decided to go to the Union for the dance but it was kind of lame and we stood around for a little bit then came back to UCC. The Cardinals won game 1! I made Russ be my test subject for my themed photo assignment. I went downstairs and ate some food while watching Saw 4 with Whitney,Morgan,Mike,Katie and Mike's roommate Sam but there was too much blood for me so I didn't watch very much of the movie. Now I am hanging out in my room watching FRIENDS with Dalton and Lauren. Random facts of the day when we were watching the movie, we paused it so Whitney and Morgan could get the food and after about 5 minutes Katie asked if the movie was paused. Russ didn't know who Carrie was until tonight. Brett and his family are going to get to come down this weekend for a visit finally hehe. Well until tomorrow!

I am a snowman slug

Today has been one of the best Tuesday's in a long time. When I woke up found out the psych was cancelled and that T and C was cancelled for Thursday.I went to Freshman Seminar and we took the color test like we take at MASC.I was a teal still but I was also tied with what would of been silver but on the color test we took it was gold but it was the exact same as the MASC one. We drew for our themed photo assignment and the new word is electric. She let us out of class 20 mins early so I went to the Union to do make the free t shirt with spotlight. I found out that you could put whatever picture or design you wanted on it so I came back to my dorm and made a 4 picture collage on photoshop. I was going to put a  pic of my college friends and I but I didn't have a picture of everyone all together and I had several ideas so in my final design there is a picture of Zack,Zoe and I, a picture of me with my camera, a picture from Saturday of Jac,Ashley,Liz and I, and a picture of Jared and I with a spread the word to end the word sign. After I made my shirt I got a hot chocolate from Jazzmans and went to the library to get books for my research paper.It was rainy so I put jeans on just so I could wear my rain boots. I went and ate lunch with Kaci,Sean,Nora and Russ then Nora and I went to our small group. We played Candyland and Life. We took the games to a whole new level today but it was alot of fun. After I came back and got started on paper. After working on it most of the afternoon I am 1/3 of the way done. I plan to be over half way tomorrow. After 5 Katie and I both took a nap which apparently is not a good thing because we both slept until almost 6 and when we got up we had several texts and calls asking us where we were. We then drove over and ate supper at Todd. After dinner everyone came to our room and we watch Elf then Final Destination. I am starting to get in a Christmas mood and it isn't even my birthday yet. Tonight's blog title is because Sean and Whitney were hanging out in our room after the movie and hiding under the blanket for fun and Sean put the blanket across his arms and was crawling across the floor.He's like I am a snowman slug because it was my snowman blanket. I did the dishes. Now we are just hanging out in the room. We are probably going to be soon. Good night!

Monday isn't always a fun day

This morning I woke up for my 9a.m class only to look online and find it cancelled which was a miracle because I didn't get to bed till after one.So I went back to bed for awhile. When I got up the second time, my back was still hurting. I went to Foundations. The people behind me probably weren't happy with me since I was moving constantly, my back was making it extremely hard to sit comfortably. After class I went and ate lunch with Kaci,Katie and Mike. Then I went to Ideas and Visual Arts. After class I went to the Financial Aid office to pay some of my bill. I really hate going there because they aren't very nice sometimes but I will kill them with my kindness. By the time I got back to my room I was in a lot of pain so I just went to sleep. I hear someone knock on the door but I just ignored it but they kept knocking but it was just Mike lol. I decided to get up and actually do some homework then. Then I was pretty lazy the rest of the afternoon. Dalton and I went to the dining hall for  supper then the others joined us after awhile. We came back to my room and Morgan and Whitney found some ice for my back. They really wanted to go to Sonic so we made a run which was fine with me because I love my watermelon-strawberry slushes. When we got back, we watched Get Smart. I love to quote this movie with Jacquelyn. I got to look at Ashley's beautiful senior pictures. When the movie got over, almost everyone left but Lauren,Sean and Mike stayed and hung out for a little bit. Now Katie and I are going to try and get to bed earlier tonight.Good Night!

And short

This morning I got up and went to church. Jen,Jeremiah and Tennley came to church so I got see Tennley. She is getting so big and she kept grinning at me. After church Dad grilled steak for me. I edited some more pictures,put them on facebook and then studied for my photography quiz. After lunch, I went and got Tennley from Grandma's and brought her down to the house so I could get some pictures of her. She smiled for a little bit but then was getting fussy. My mom hemmed my curtains for my dorm room and made me cookies. She is pretty great! I took my photography quiz and got a 100% which I was so excited. After getting everything done I left. It was really hard to leave but I had to. The trip actually went really fast although my back hurt so bad while driving. I got back to UCC about 6:40. After carrying all my stuff up, I watched the cardinals game. It was a crazy game for the innings I did get to see,so many home runs and the innings lasted forever. Katie got back and then half of us left to go see Footloose while the other half went to play fugitive. Footloose was really good! Now I am back in the dorm. The title is from Sean because we were talking about how to pronounce my last name and I was like an-tal.Then he said and short.lol. While at the movies Kaci told me that the cardinals won which means they are going to the World Series! My back hurt so bad so Jauan tried to help me but doing like in movies where you see the guys go back to back with the girls and swing them over to the ground. It was kind of like that. It felt better for a little bit but it still hurts. Well I am going to bed. Good night!

In a Christmas mood

So since I didn't get to bed until almost 2 I slept all morning hehe. When I got up I just sat outside in let the cats lay on my lap.The weather was so nice I could of just sat there all day and never had another thought about doing anything else but I didn't. I was going to save the Buddy's leftovers for college but I ended up eating them for lunch. I did some laundry and then got ready for my pics with Jac,Beth,and Ashley. We all met at Jacquelyn's house and then drove around Lancaster and Glenwood stopping at some spots to take them. It was a blast and I have missed my girlies so much! If only Sam and Amy where home to then we all would have been together. After taking the pictures Brett wanted to hang out so I stayed at Jacquelyn's but he didn't get there until about 4:30 so the three of us didn't get to hang out long. We played Just Dance for awhile then left. I have a good momma, she found 2 old cameras for really cheap at an auction today. So my little collection is growing :). Then Mom took some pictures of the cats and I by some pumpkins and marigolds. Ben wasn't being photogenic except when I was taking pictures of the pumpkins then he wanted in. I started working on editing the pics from today and then we had supper. After supper Mom and I went to Relay for Life at the school for a little bit. I got to hangout with Ashley, Nick, and Natasha for a little bit. I also got to see Mrs. Morrow! I got to try Doc for the first time which next to Strawberry Dr. Pepper is an amazing invention because it combines Pepsi and Dr. Pepper. I got to talk to Tristan T. and Matt F. for a little bit. Then mom and I came back home and I started editing on the pics some more. I got to talk to my sister for a little (who I miss so much) and read my photography chapter. I got to see Jon,Lyndsi and Casen's pictures that they had taken which are so good. Casen is growing up to fast just like Zack and Zoe. Zoe plays basketball now and Zack is starting quiz bowl. Kaitlin has been getting me in the Christmas mood.Well I got myself in one watching the Glee Christmas episode last week and playing Christmas music but she has been talking about hanging up decorations and watching movies so what did I do, put in the Polar Express. I love fall but I am can't wait for Christmas!I know, I need to be patient. well I am going to bed. Good Night!

Cow on the road

Friday yay!I didn't have a class until 11 this morning but I was awake at 9 so I got up. I got all my stuff rounded together to go home. It was a portrait shooting day in Foundations so we only had to take our cameras. I was grouped with Amanda and Adam which was cool because they are fun. We did the assignment then we posed with the fire hydrant. Class well spent :). Then I went and lunch with my friends. At 1 I had Ideas and Visual Arts which she let us out a little early and my group didn't have to talk in front of the class so it was good. When I got back I told Katie goodbye,filled my car with antifreeze and was on the road. I got home about 5:45 and the trip actually didn't drag on. I got to see my mom and dad and cats for a little bit then mom and I went to the football game. It was senior night and the Rams won 47-0. I sat with Craig,Brett and some of their friends for the first half. Then sat with my Schuyler friends for the second half. I got to see Danielle, Sara and Deanna-a few of my friends from North Shelby. Josh Reeves spotted me immediately tonight and sat with me some at the game and I got to talk to some others that haven't seen in a while. After the game Gentry, Kaitlin, Ashley, Jac, Nick, Bo, Tara, Dakota, Kara, Lydia and I went to Buddy's. The cardinals won by the way! Then afterwards some of us went to Gentry's for a bonfire. Elizabeth came after she got off work. It was so much fun catching up with everyone. When we were leaving we were warned to watch out for deer but as Kaitlin and I got on  the road we saw a cow and a dog on  the road. Thank goodness we didn't hit them. I thank God for getting me home safely after my car was being weird and for just the great Friday!Good night!

I blame my no good dirty rotten pig stealing great great grandfather

So I kind of dread Thursdays because I don't like being criticized in T and C and Gen Psych is like my least favorite class. I do like Thursdays because it is that much closer to Friday! Anyway I went to T and C and we all got a post it note that we were supposed to stick on our favorite picture. I got one so I didn't feel so bad but then I kind of wished I hadn't gotten one because the teacher only critiqued those who got a post it. After T and C was psych and we went over the answers for the test. I couldn't remember all the answers I  put but I am pretty sure I got a B which isn't to bad. She did let us out 15 mins early which was a plus. I went and ate lunch with my friends. I had to go put antifreeze in my car because its been dumb lately. It was dripping out so somewhere there is a problem. I went to Lions Lake for a little bit to take pictures and it was so nice out. I could of stayed there all day. Ashley called me and we chatted for awhile. I am so excited to see her,Jac, Beth and some more of my friends tomorrow! I tried to read my photography for a little bit and then watched Friends. Dad wanted me to go to Wal-Mart so I went and got some stuff to try and fix my vehicle until I get home tomorrow. I finally got our curtains hung up in our room! After returning and trying to figure it out, they are now hanging. I ended up getting sticky hooks and a really skinny pole to hang across them. Nora came over and we watched some of Grease before supper. It was a Todd night so we all went over there and ate. Then Nora and I went to Zumba. It was really fun as always. We missed the beginning of the cardinals and when we got back to the room, the cable was out so we didn't get to watch any of it. A bunch of us went to McDonals and played apples to apples like we have for the last 3 weeks now. Nora was the silent killer and won. I studied my photography on and off through out the evening. Now we are watching Friends in our room again lol. I am going to try and go to bed so I won't be tired driving home. Tonight's blog title is from holes and basically its my excuse for not having a great day and the cardinals losing. By the way a squirrel did run in front of several people today so that is out. Squirrels are becoming a thing

So unfortunately my 9 am class wasn't cancelled today but that's ok, its a pretty easy class. After class I went over to the Union to see what was going on for Breast Cancer Awareness Day. Not to much was happening and  Spotlight was doing a t-shirt exchange where you could exchange a high school or another college shirt for a ucm one but they weren't that great and I didn't have any shirts with me that I was willing to trade. I went back to the dorm and laid on my bed and watched Gilmore Girls.At 11 I went to Foundations which wasn't to bad today. Then I went to lunch with my friends like usual. I went to Ideas and Visual Arts at 1 which went pretty quick. We signed up for museum projects so sometime between now and November 2, I have to go to an art museum. After class I really wanted to take a nap but Russ, Lauren and I went to Wal-Mart. Apparently Katie and I weren't meant to have curtains because after finding rods to go in our huge window then the curtains don't fit the rods. Its now on to plan D. I started working on my photography assignment but should of went outside first because it started raining so I didn't get done. Shaffer sent me the first camp flyer but I couldn't open it because I don't have publisher on my computer so I then spent a while trying to download a trial version but was unsuccessful. I tried to organize my pictures and go through all my YAC ones that I took over the weekend. I skyped with Brett for a little where he gave me an endless supply of dead baby jokes :/. I know right. Then I went and ate supper with my friends. After supper I came back and was going to get a head start on my homework for the weekend but I talked to my mom instead and watched the beginning of the cardinals game. Katie and I walked over to CCH for DIG. When we got back the cardinals were winning. I talked to my mom some more and chatted with my sister on facebook. The cardinals won 4-3. So they only need to win 2 more games! I don't believe in good luck charms but I am starting to believe there is something to this squirrel thing because Friday, Kaci's friend was passed on the sidewalk by a squirrel, then Monday a squirrel ran in front of Kaci and today a squirrel ran by me. Mike says that the cardinals will end up changing their names to the squirrels. Now we are watching Whose Line is it Anyway and going to try and go to be earlier. Good Night!

DTC

This morning I had Freshman Seminar. We had a scavenger hunt and my group was the first group back but we aren't sure if we won or not.After class I came back to my room and studied for my psych test a little bit more. The psych wasn't awful because it was only 25 questions but there a few I wasn't sure on because we didn't go over them.It only took about 20mins so after it was done I came back to my room and relaxed for a while.Then I went and lunch with my friends at 12:15.Someone spilt milk and I almost wiped out but thank goodness I didn't.Nora and I went small group. It was pretty short to because there wasn't much to talk about and there was only Kirstin there besides the 2 of us. When I got back, I thought about taking a nap but after laying there for a few minutes got up looked up some music.I started on my freshman seminar paper a little bit.I spent the rest of the afternoon watching FRIENDs which I complained about when it wasn't on at the right time and blogged about Special Olympics for the SOMO blog, I will share with you when it is done. At 6 we went and ate supper at Todd. We were going to watch Glee but it wasn't on because of the baseball games. So Kaci,Dalton, Lauren,Morgan,Sean,Russ and Kaitlin just talked and watched That 70's show. Mom called and I got to hear Casen say Rachel a few times, he kissed the phone and said bye bye. He is growing up to quick. I amazed my friends with my lumiton. Dalton,Kaitlin and I were throwing the soccer ball in my room so we decided to go outside and play monkey in the middle with Lauren. After a while we decided to go eat at late night. We sat with some of Lauren's friends. Kaitlin stuck my banana in Jaamal's bowl of cereal and so he's like quit baptizing the bananas lol.Kaitlin and I came back and played just dance with Morgan and Jauan. Now we are watching Grease.It is almost over. Well until tomorrow! O DTC is some acronym thing for cuddling and we were making a bunch of jokes about it tonight.

Hacking

So I have learned that facebook hacking is becoming the number 1 hobby of teenagers in this country lol. I have been hacked more times since I have been to college then ever. Today I was talking to "nora" even though I had a sneaky suspicion that it was someone else. It was actually Sean. At least once a week someone in our friend group is hacked. I went to to sleep pretty quick after my blog last night. I woke up at 10 something when the others came in from playing fugitive. I talked to them for a few minutes then was out again. I got 11 amazing hours of sleep last night and felt great! My 9 am class was cancelled this morning so I could of slept in until 10 or after but I got up a little after 9. After lounging around and watching glee I went to Foundations. It went pretty fast today and he let us out a little early. I then ate lunch with Katie,Sean, and Mike. It was Discover UCM day so there tons of people in the dining hall for lunch. So I was in the Christmas mode last week but Katie was in one day because every time I played a song, shes like this sounds like a Christmas song.  Ideas and Visual Arts went pretty fast too. When I got back, I got to spend the afternoon studying for Psychology yay not. I was in another cleaning mood today so I vacuumed the floor and did the dishes. We all went to dinner at 6 and since Kaci and I didn't have our usual Monday lunch we ate supper together. When we got back, I studied some more/read my chapter for tomorrow's small group/ watched the cardinals game. I fell pretty good about how much I studied now. The cardinals won 12-3 so the series is tied 1-1. Stick It was on so I watched it because I love that movie and quoting it with Jac and Amy. Werner got skype so we skyped for a little bit and got to catch up. Well I am going to get ready for bed. Good night!

I'm sassy and I know it

I am blogging early tonight because I am pretty tired from getting up early and going all weekend and I also don't feel 100% great. Some how Emily and I both did not hear our wake up call this morning if they actually called and we woke up at 7:45 when we were supposed to be downstairs at 8 lol. We managed to get ready in 15 mins and get downstairs not very late. We ate breakfast and then Justin and I had to get up on stage and introduce the improv guys. I am starting to get more comfortable with my public speaking. The guys came up and the had the athletes do each skit thing. On the rambling one Jared had to talk about why he liked peas and it was so funny. After they were done, Mark Musso passed the torch off to Oklahoma since that is where the next South Central Conference will be. We said our goodbyes which is the hardest part of all! Then after managing to get an elevator and get our stuff in our vehicles we were gone. I followed Kim because I was afraid I would get lost getting out of Branson. We had a little mini caravan because Kim was in the first vehicle,then me,then the Bernharts and somewhere in there was Brandon when he passed us lol. Every time he would pass we would all wave and then he would get back in the line until he finally pulled ahead of us. We all went to Lamberts to eat lunch. Justin called Crystal Chalk and Tim Schuster and told them that we had left him and he need a ride. It was so funny and they even took a picture of Justin looking sad and sent it to her. Of course she knew we were lying. After our long wait we finally got into to eat. I had never been here before so this was an experience for me. The throwed rolls were pretty cool. John Bernhart got hit in the head with one after he caught the first one. I got chicken wings which were pretty good. Most of them are in my fridge right now because there was a lot of food. We were all squeezed together in a both and I was towards the back of it so I stood up and hopped over the side to go to the bathroom lol. I shocked everyone. When got done we all said our final good byes and were off. I found my way back to UCM. I was going to stop in Bolivar to see Taylor but I wasn't feeling good so I came on back. Ashley and I are talking about going to see him and Nick next month sometime. I got back about 3.After attempting a failed nap and studying some we went to supper. When we got back I studied some more while the others went to play fugitive. It's to long to explain what fugitive is. Now I am going to hopefully get to sleep soon so I can start off tomorrow energized. The title is because Brandon said that the music at Lambert's made him feel sassy.I miss the YAC people so much already! The cardinals lost the first game of the series tonight but they will can still win.Apparently the north did win the Dixie Stampede yesterday. I thought that it ended even but I lied. Another random story Brett sits in my pink chair every time he comes to my house. The chair is now in my dorm room and Mike told him he was sitting in my chair and Brett's like you mean my chair. I didn't know how much a variation there was between some city people and country people. I won't mention any names but to some city people the county is the subdivision outside of the city. To country people it is the place in the middle of nowhere where the population is smaller then some city peoples' graduating classes. That is just one of the many examples.Well good night!

Hey Burrito

This has been like one of the best saturdays!The only thing that could have made it better is if UCM would of beat Northwest but what can you do. Nora's texts to me made it sound like it wasn't a bad game to watch. This morning we had to get up early because we were all meeting for breakfast downstairs. I blew a dart at Justin which got the whole crazy game going. Somebody got me with one and when I finally got my food, Whitney had to feed it to me lol because no one would unfreeze me. After breakfast Justin and I went to practice our welcome speech for the youth summit. At 9:45 YACers from Louisiana, Arkansas, Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma came pouring in to begin the summit. Everything went off great. We talked at the small groups and got to know each other. Jared and I ran the Spread the Word table. I stepped in since Elizabeth Janes wasn't able to make it. We sang random songs and played icebreakers. At lunch we went downstairs to eat. The food was interesting and not in a good way. They put like strawberry cream cheese on a turkey sandwich and it was nasty. Brandon had us all laughing up a storm because he picked a huge piece of cabbage out of his soup and was like "thats not going in my body" and then there was a hair on something so he wouldn't eat at all then because he said "germs spread." We got back early so we danced to the cupid shuffle in the dark with the lumitons. When everyone got back we had a speaker, Jenny Newbury from Get Into it. Then Joshua Fierce and Marc Pruter from Improve Trick did some improv with us. It was so much fun! I participated in several  including a slow motion one, next slide where I was the commentator  with Whitney and the noises one where when Josh pointed to you, you made your noise. The guests in our Youth Summit today and with the small groups really gave me some good ideas of how I can start dealing with the Spread the R Word at college. Halfway through the Improv thing we stopped to participate in the train flash mob. After Improv thing was over we went back to our rooms for a little bit before we loaded the buses to go to the Dixie Stampede. We all sat on the North side and I sat by Emily and Jessica. It was great as always! This is my third time going and every time I sit on the North side which is fine because the North rocks! It ended in a tie though this time. When you go in a big group you get special attention because we took a group picture and then before it started they announced all the groups there tonight and one was us :). The dart game continued ALL DAY today. Literally we all got frozen like 20 times it seemed like. On the way out of the Dixie Stampede, a group of us were going to take the elevator down but this old lady with a cane got seriously annoyed at us and was get angry so we walked down the stairs. When we got back, a small group of us went over and walked around the landing. WE played ninja and danced around. We sang hey burrito and other songs as we walked and people gave us really odd looks. I ran into Robb E, Mark Musso, Tim and Crystal while we were down there. We got some Orange Leaf which is frozen yogurt and amazing if I might add. We owled at Bass Pro and I gave Matt a piggy back ride to add to the randomness. We came back and then went to Emma and Whitney's room for an after party.  We had a massive pillow fight and dance party. I learned one thing: never have a pillow fight with guys involved because they don't stop until their victim is unconscious. I can't remember who said tonight that pillows were like lead pipes in the guys' hands. I didn't stay a real long time because I am tired and we have to get up early again tomorrow. Another side night, the pranking ideas have already started for sports camp next summer between Julie, Shaffer, Mike and I lol.Well good night!

So new tips

1. Don't stay in Ellis if you go to UCM unless you like to party and loudness. A water fountain has been broke off, glass doors broke and the fire alarm goes off everyday. I am so glad I moved to UCC.

2. It's ok to go to bed early some nights. Don't think that just because you are in college that you have to do something every night. A good night's sleep feels good.

3. Take pictures. Even if you aren't the digital camera just snap a pick every now and then so you remember what the year was like. You will be glad you have those pictures later.

4. Do want you want to do not what the crowd is doing. You don't have to drink because everyone else is, you don't have to go to homecoming because everyone else is.

5. Don't be an over spender. Sometimes you just have to cut yourself off. You have a dining hall plan for a reason. 

First Star County Experience

I love Fridays because I dont have class until 11 but I got up at 9 anyway so that I could actually straighten my hair lol. I ate lunch with Katie, Mike, and Jaffar. Its really hard to go to class when you know that something better is waiting when you get done. I went to Ideas and Visual Arts but my mind was all ready to be in Branson.   She actually let us out a little early. At 2p.m. I was in the car and on the road. I got to Branson without a problem. About 5p.m. I was there. I had a vallet park my car because I didn't really want to mess with the whole parking down the road and trying to find my way and everything. I checked in and took my stuff up to the lovely 9th floor. Unfortunately I am rooming with Emily Reyes lol jk Emily. The Hilton is so nice!Out our window you can see the Ducks( the  tourist attraction not actual ducks) and bass pro.I called mom to tell her I was her and Casen said Rachel twice on the phone which made my day. He said bye bye and was done talking. After registration and catching up with everyone that I have missed like crazy I came up and hung out in Kim and Lisa's room with Emily and Haley. Jared, Brenda and Dan came in and we chatted for a little bit before finally going downstairs for the opening conference session. The talent show wasn't too bad. The Evolution of Dance was hilarious. Chuck definitely represented Missouri. Then the Sons of Silver Dollar sang. They were pretty good. Poor Trish was sick tonight. I got to catch up with Mandi,Katie and the rest which was awesome. I am so excited to get to start volunteering with the Central Area soon. Diane asked me to take pictures at over the edge so I cant wait! I got to try out being president for the first time tonight by scheduling breakfast tomorrow and getting everyone's number. I was able to get my parking fee taken care of because if you give up house keeping then you parking is paid for.Thank you God!That's a blessing because it was expensive. I am so glad to be with my SOMO family this weekend.I am not to upset that I am missing homecoming. Right now I am hanging out with the awesome Star County group and Jordan in Kim and Lisa's room. We are waiting for our late night pizza. Morning is going to come quick. Jeff Fugate named our group the core lol. A few random notes the cardinals won yay! The Rams beat the Midgets haha Brett. I have a lovely bruise circle and line on my left arm from giving blood. It hurts. Well I am going to get off here.Until tomorrow :)

French Fry Box

I'm starting to feel so overwhelmed with just everything. I know it will be ok and all that good stuff because I have God to help me but it just seems kind of stressful. I am ready to go to Branson and be away from everything for a few days. The only problem is I have a psychology test Tuesday and a photography quiz that I will have to take over the weekend. This morning Katie and I were at CCH.By the time we got up there were only 2 other people there besides us.Everyone else left in the middle of the night. When we got back, I went straight to my bed and slept until 11. Then I got up and was kind of lazy for a while. At 1 Whitney and I went to Dollar General and I filled my car up with gas for tomorrow. Then I started making my psychology note cards while Whitney blew up her balloon things in my room. At 4 Katie, Mike and I went to see Abduction. It was pretty good, better then I thought it would be. I love Lily Collins and Taylor Lautner so thats probably another reason it was good. We had already missed supper when we got back and Katie left right away for her sorority thing. I went to the gym and did Zumba with Nora. I showed her the party rock anthem shuffle afterwards. Then I came back and skyped Ashley. Whitney came up and then about 9 we all went to McDonalds and played apples to apples again. I had to fight Jauan to get into Katie's vehicle on the way back. He stole my shoe so I climbed in the back of Katie's vehicle and slide up to the front. I got my shoe :P. I will not let any guy win hehe especially Brett in our facebook poke war. Well if you guys could be praying for me for the next few days, I would appreciate it as I travel to Branson and I try to get everything done. Thanks! Overboard

My morning classes were the usual today.Then I ate lunch with my friends. Ideas and Visual Arts passed by pretty quick. Today was the last day to vote for homecoming royalty.I thought high school was bad but college is crazy.People hand out so much free stuff to try and get votes. I did some homework and then Mom called me because Tyler Weaver wanted to talk to me. He is so funny.Then a took an hour long nap until Lauren and Sean came to my room. Katie got back from class and took a nap while Sean hacked her facebook. He changed all her info and profile pic to stuff about cows.It was hilarious. She found out quick when she got up.Sean got beat by a pillow in the elevator as punishment. We all went ate supper like usual.Then I raced Mike and Katie back.I was doing good keeping them out but then I ran up the stairs and dropped my flip flop. Mike stole my flip flop so I chased after him. He hid it in my room and after a few threats I got it back. I then met Kelsey downstairs to go to photo society. The meeting before ran long so we didn't get to be there for to long before DIG. DIG was great as always and I think I'm going to go on the passion grow trip. Its in Georgia and there are going to be some amazing speakers and bands. After DIG there was a slumber party for the girls there. We ate a lot of food, danced,painted nails and made bracelets. My mind was blown by crackle fingernail polish.Its so cool. We sang along to songs including colors of the wind and are now currently watching Overboard-a classic. Today has definitely been way better then yesterday. Until tomorrow! :)

Two Gallons

I have had a very interesting Tuesday if I do say so myself. This morning as I was getting ready before class Mike came in my room and told me he broke his hand and needed someone to take him to the hospital. I knew Katie wouldn't be out of class for a couple of hours so I drove Mike. I skipped Freshman Seminar which didn't bother to me to bad. He got x rays and then we came back. They couldn't tell him his results till later. I went to my 11 a.m psych class. My teacher was nice and let us out a half hour early. I went and ate lunch with Nora,Sean,Russ,Kaci,Lauren B. and Kaytlynn from my small group. Then I went to small group. It was good like always. Then Lauren B., Russ and I went to Wal-Mart. Katie took Mike to get his cast for his hand. As soon as I got back I went with Kaitlin to give blood. Not a good time.It took 3 hours to get through the whole thing and done. When I finally got on the chair/table thing already nervous, the needle hurt like crazy and then my vein started swelling so they debated for like 10 mins on rather to take it out or not. Then they switched to my other arm. I started getting upset because it hurt and I was already in a nervous mess. Once the needle got in for the second time, it went pretty fast. I got 2 stickers, one that said I tired to give blood and one that said be nice to me I gave blood today. I also got to arms taped up and will have nice bruises tomorrow. My first arm still hurts :/. After Kaitlin and I went and met the others at Todd to eat. At 7 we came back and watched Glee in my room. Then we went to Yaeter for their homecoming dance which was actually lame. We stayed for a little bit then left.Now we are all hanging out in my room. I am going to try and go to bed early if possible because I am so tired from this crazy long day. Later! Two gallons is how much Russ told me how much they were going take from my arm which is almost what it seemed like in the end.

Taco vs Grilled Cheese

This morning I got up and went to my classes like usual. They weren't any different than any other day today. Mr. Mitchell didn't tell us who won the scavenger hunt from Friday. I went and ate lunch with Katie,Kaci and Lauren. Then I went to Ideas and Visual Arts. Apparently like half of the class didn't go to class on Friday so I figured she would be mad today but she wasn't and I got an 100% on my project for the class so I was pretty excited. So I love those moments when God lets you know that he has control of your life. I mentioned in a previous blog that my friend Katie Hrenchir sends me a bible verse each day well today she sent me one that went perfectly with my day. I was telling Katie (my roommate) about something right before I went to class and as soon as I said it, I got the verse from Katie Hrenchir. God was pretty much letting me know that I wasn't alone. God had a sense of humor today with me. Every time I would be like well that didn't happen the way I wanted, he'd let me know it's going to happen when he wants. I met with my academic adviser after class and we made my schedule for spring semester. ASL didn't fit :( so I am going to have to take it next year. My Mondays and Tuesdays are going to be busy next semester but its ok because I will get to come home alot earlier on Fridays! :) After I met with him I started some homework but then fell asleep. I got to talk to my momma for a little bit. Then went and ate supper with my friends. When I got back Katie and I met these people in our hall so we chatted with them for a little bit. Then I went and watched Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen with my small group. When it was over I came back and watched Date Night in my room with my friends! Great evening! Sean randomly came in and asked me who would win in a fight tacos or grilled cheese. Apparently the answer is grilled cheese don't ask me why lol. Well I am going to see if I can get to bed earlier tonight.Good night!

Where did the weekend go?

This morning everyone was so tired that we didn't wake up until 10 a.m. so we didn't go to church. This is the first week in so long that I have missed. Mom and I went to Memphis to get some groceries and then Dad left to go to the races when we got back. I love my parents so much!My dad made me pork steak friday and today my mom made me bbq chicken and puppy chow :). At 2 Brett came over and we watch Silence of the Lambs. It actually isn't that bad a movie. I thought it was supposed to me a horror movie but it wasn't. Then we played some wii when it was over. I don't want to rub it in Brett's face anymore that I beat him but I think it is pretty blog worthy. We were close in both sports but as he always say "a win is a win." :) We played baseball but it was a tie. About 5 I had to leave so that I could see Sherry for a little bit. I stopped by my Grandma's and got to see her,my uncle Tim and  Joey for a little bit. Then I went to town and visited with Sherry for a little bit.She was doing pretty good. Then I was on my way back to the burg. The tripped seemed to go pretty fast and I got back about 9:30. Katie and Mike were watching the phillies/cards game when I walked in. The cardinals won :D.So now they just need to win tomorrow. Elizabeth called and asked if I wanted to skype so I got to talk to her and Jac for awhile which was great! I missed them like crazy! Now I am getting ready to go to bed so I can begin homecoming week/ south central conference in Brandon weekend :D.Going to be great!Good night! I would just like to point out quick that I spent over 14 hours of my weekend in a car between st joseph and here. I am ready to be back for awhile.

Some days the cloud follows you

We got to St. Joseph about 12:45. Then we were up again this morning and gone again by 8:45. The girls first softball game was at 9:30 and we showed up at 9:45 because we got lost getting there. The girls lost their first 2 games. Then Ashley, Mom and I went to Pizza Hut. This Pizza Hut was the oldest, oddest one I have ever been to before and there was no one there so we got our food within 15 mins. After lunch we went back to the fields. The girls won their next game and then had to play one more but it wasn't until 6:30. I was not in a great mood because I was hoping that we got to be home by then, my phone was dying(not a huge deal) and I wasn't feeling terrific. Since we had a couple of hours in between Ashley, Mom, and I went to the mall. Gordman's is officially my new favorite store. It had everything from clothes, to Christmas decorations and room furniture and room decor. Mom got a phone charger so I was able to have a phone again. Ashley and I shopped at Rue 21 for a little bit, my other favorite store :). We went and got supper at Sonic then went back to the field for the last game. It was hot earlier but now it was cold out. We were bundled under blankets for this game. The game for consolation was against Putnam. We beat them in the 6th inning. Brett and I were going to hang out but that didn't happen since we didn't get home till after 11:30. When I told him we beat Putnam, he said it was because he wasn't playing :P. Today was crazy long and didn't seem like a great Saturday but I got to spend it with my mom and best friend,Ashley so no complaints :)Well I am going to bed. Good night!
