Celebrating the last day of March

It's been a pretty great Saturday! Kaitlin and I went and ate lunch with some of our friends. After she,Megan, Katie and I were going to ride bikes with Lauren and James but the Rec didn't have any. We ended up walking to Lions Lake Park. We hung out by the geese and Morgan came and met us there. James was throwing rocks into the lake and hit a goose on the head so of course we couldn't let him forget it. We are pretty sure he stunted the goose for life. We swung on the swing set and tried to hang on as best as we could on the merry go round. We decided to run to McDonald's after. I was very pleased to have my strawberry shake. When we got back, James, Kaitlin and I watched an episode of the walking dead that Kaitlin missed from yesterday. Derrick, Russ, and Kaci came over and we watched another one. Then when they went to eat, Megan came over and watched Spongebob with us. We went and ate dinner at 6 like usual. Justin, James, Megan, Kaitlin and I took a walk around campus which ended up being pretty interesting when you put those people together. We stopped on the president's lawn for a minute and Kaitlin and Justin dueled with pieces of bark they broke of the tree. We then discussed the multiple punishments that were going to happen to them for taking the bark off such as shots being fired or the president sending people after them lol. There was no one on the football field so we sat on it and all talked for a while. Through out the whole walk we sang a bunch of songs. Everyone came back to my room and we played Just Dance for over an hour. I dominated if I may add but on sway Justin and I got the exact same score. I thought it was crazy when when Kaci and I came within 4 points one time let alone tie. Katie came over and played. When we got done, we watched the very end of the Ku vs Ohio game which Ku won so now they will play Kentucky for the championship. Kaci and Derrick came over and we watched the final episode of the Walking Dead. Now we have to wait until probably the fall for it to come back on. At least Glee will be back on in 10 days to help fill the wait. I got some bible reading done today. Tonight's question is what is your dream job. Well I would love working for SOMO somehow, ideally P.R., if not that then it would be taking pictures for a magazine like National Geographic where I could travel the world and do what I love :). V necks

It's Friday! In studio today, we got to play with medium format cameras which are so cool. They are bigger and heavier than dslrs so it would be hard to get a good picture with them and keep them steady. After studio, Katie and I went to the gym. I went and ate lunch with my friends like usual at noon. There was a turtle in the water tunnel in the rock wall outside Ellis but its blocked off so you can't get down there and I didn't have a tank so Kaitlin and I could keep it in our room anyone :/. Dana and I worked in the Studio this afternoon on low-key portraits. We used each other as our model and got to work with new lights which was fun.My teacher finally graded our last assignment and I got an A :D. I came back to the room and worked on my paper and magazine cover. I got to talk to my mom for a little bit. Then I went to dinner with my friends. They were going to go to the Greek step show but it didn't start till 7 so we hung out on the quad for an hour. I came back and met Derrick at Ellis while the others went to the show and Derrick and I went on a walk. It was a such a gorgeous day for it. We came back to my room and watched the Walking Dead with Russ, Kaci and Kaitlin. Katie came over after awhile and we watched Failure to Launch. Tonight's question is what are your 5 favorite drinks? 1) strawberry lemonade, 2) cherry dr.pepper, 3) raspberry iced tea, 4) raspberry watermelon slushes, and 5) juice of almost any kind. After typing these, I am sensing a fruit theme lol. Tonight's blog title comes from a long talk about them,mentioning Russ's every time he wears it including today  and then Lauren was telling us tonight how Sean had to have a one for something to eat next week. When he found out that they were a lot more low cut then men's, he was like I don't know, I have never worn a woman's shirt before. Knucklehead McSpazzatron

What a great Thursday it has been! I seriously can't thank God enough for the day he has given me. This morning when I woke up I studied a little bit more for Ecology. I answered a movie trivia question on the UCM facebook page and won a free movie rental from the "redbox" and a bucket that I can get free popcorn out of anytime I go to the theater that they just put into the Union. Kaitlin gave me a piece of ginger gum so I knew the test was going to go well. It didn't seem to hard and didn't take very long. Lauren and I stopped at the housing office to get applications to be OA's(office assistants) for next year. Then Kaitlin and I watched the Spongebob Squarepants movie. Tonight's blog title is a name they called Spongebob in the movie. I knew all the names so I was quoting it and Kaitlin told me I knew it a little to well. With as good a mood as I was in, I didn't want to go to P.R. and ruin that but when I got there he didn't make us take our quiz and let us out 25 minutes early. I picked up my prize from the union and then went to lunch with everyone. I was wearing my red shorts with a blue stripe on them and as soon as I got to lunch I automatically got called a traitor because the others thought I was switched over to being a ku fan already. That was not my intended idea of wearing them today lol but I am sure Derrick didn't mind. After lunch, Kaci, Russ, Derrick and I went to Wal-Mart so we could shirts that we were spray painting for something to eat. When we got back, Derrick came and hung out with me all afternoon :). We watched Knight and Day and got to talk a whole bunch which was nice. I went and ate dinner with my friends at Todd at 6. Sean's brother, Kyle was here for a visit so he got to hang out with us for a while. After dinner, Russ, Kaci and I went to CCH and sprayed our shirts. When we got back, Derrick came over and Kaitlin was back from work so we all watched some more of the Walking Dead. We still have 6 episodes to go in the season. The five of us and Megan went on a walk around campus and then said our good nights. I am going to do my bible reading and then head to bed. Its Wednesday which means its that much closer to Friday! We had a demo in studio for our next assignment of low key portraits. I came back to the room and took my quiz online and read the next chapter for small group. Katie and I went to the gym. It was definitely nice to work out even if we didn't agree at the time after not doing it for over a week. Derrick happened to be at the gym the same time we were playing basketball. He came over and hung out with me for a little bit before our 2 p.m. classes. I had to go to Race, Class and Gender today so I could turn my paper in and wow we had some interesting discussions. I had small group after but it ended up being only Kaci, Kirstin and I again. We read out of Ruth in the bible and talked about it. After small group, I looked over the Ecology study guide a few times and then finished the first Hunger Games book.Tonight's blog title is something they say alot in the book. It was great and I would recommend it to anyone. The movie and book actually followed pretty well. I went and ate dinner with my friends. Justin gave me like a whole bunch of questions to answer and then he had Katie answer them as well. I went to DIG with my friends and Derrick :).We sang beautiful things,the stand and grace like rain which are some of my favorites. After we discussed Something to Eat that will be on campus next week and I am helping with it a few days. Sean, Lauren and I studied for Ecology. Staying focused is always a hard problem but we powered through. Kaitlin was working on her homework in the lounge too so neither of us was in the room when it started raining. I suddenly remembered the window was open and sprinted upstairs but everything near the window was drenched already. There were no papers on anything like that near there so it dried pretty fast. I read for P.R. tomorrow and now I am going to go to bed so I am not too tired for my test. Tonight's question is the opposite of last nights. What are your 5 least favorite foods? I definitely hate mustard with a passion! I also don't like horse radish, liver and onions( I am sure mom is laughing at this because she always tries to taunt me with it), chicken gumbo, and asparagus. Well good night!

Ginger gum

This morning I decided to be a good kid and go to Ecology. She actually let us out a half hour early so I sat in the union and worked on my study guide. I went to P.R. after which was probably the worst part of my day because before break we took an editing test and passed them back today. I did not do to well but thank goodness it wasn't worth very much. I didn't feel too bad because the whole class did bad. I went and lunch with friends and my boyfriend. Katie got her pictures developed from Florida so she let me look at them at lunch. They were really good. After lunch, I put the final touches on my paper for Race,Class, and Gender and did a little bit of studying for ecology. Then I went to Editorial which was pretty boring except we went over shooting DSLR video which seems like it could be cool. He did let us out 45 minutes early which was nice so I was able to get ahead on my bible reading. Sean and Lauren came over and we finished the study guide. We went to Todd and ate dinner with a bunch of our friends. I left the others and came back because I was skyping with Ashley at 7. We talked for an hour and she even got to meet Derrick because he was coming over to watch the Walking Dead. Kaci got done with class and came over too. I had just told Ashley that it had been a while since I talked to Liz and Jac when it wasn't very long after that Liz called me. She told me about this oppression tunnel that Truman made and in one of the rooms it talked about Spread the Word. She told me how glad she was to have a friend like me who cared so much for SOMO. It was so sweet of her and it made me proud to know that a difference is actually being made with the R-Word. Kaitlin, Derrick, Kaci and I watched a couple episodes of the Walking Dead tonight. Dalton came in and watched for a bit. Before I was going to dinner, Jauan shot me with his water gun to make up for yesterday and then Dalton got mine and shot me a bunch tonight. So much for bringing the water gun back from break lol. Kaitlin gave Dalton some gum and he was like o this ginger gum taste nasty. He called it that because Sean White is on the package. Then we got on the subject of ginger discrimination and how it was actually rude to call someone that in some areas. Kaci and Derrick left after the Walking Dead was over for the night. Now I am going to try and read some more of the Hunger Games. This apparently is not a good idea since I have been dreaming about it for the last couple nights. Tonight's question is what are your five favorite foods? I would have to say steak, strawberries, chocolate, grapes and bbq chicken :) Well good night!

pause...pause

It's Monday which usually I am dreading but today was a great day. Studio was a little boring. I came back to the room and finished my race,class,gender paper and worked a little on my ecology study guide. Kaitlin and I went to lunch with the others. Derrick and I made a trip to Wal-Mart after lunch. Then we came back and hung out in my room until our classes at 2. I made Derrick watch Spongebob lol but then I turned on Sports Center. I knew that Kaitlin would ask if a boy had been in the room. Molly and I went to Race, Class and Gender which ended being kind of interesting because we were talking about racism and the teacher was making musical references to West Side Story. She was like oh you probably don't know this song but I knew all of them :). When I got back to the room, Kaitlin was like who was watching baseball. I was like actually it was basketball but still she noticed. I went to Forum where we had a mounting demo today so class didn't last very long. I came back and read for P.R. tomorrow I went to dinner and ate with my friends. Then Derrick and Kaci came over and watched the Walking Dead with Russ, Kaitlin and I in my room. We made it through 2 episodes but then the 3rd one started pausing alot-thus tonight's blog title. Finally after we paused and let it catch up a few times, we finished it. I had a great time hanging out with my friends and my boyfriend :).  Mom called so I got to talk to her for a few minutes. I did get to read some more on the hunger games but haven't quite finished it yet.Tonight's question is what was your most memorable summer. This would definitely be Summer of 2010 when I went with Team Missouri to the Special Olympics National Games in Lincoln, NE. I was Mandi's P.R. assistant and got to help her cover Missouri in all the sports. I had so much fun hanging out with all the athletes and taking pictures of them competing. I have probably mentioned this several times before but I am not sure. Well I am going to try to read some more hunger games then off to bed. Good night!

You peed on our futon

Well I am back in the burg after a great Spring Break! This morning I got up and went to church with my family. I got hold Tennley during church and she kept putting her hands on my face and playing peek a boo. She gets cuter all the time. When we got home, Jon, Lyndsi and Casen came over for lunch. I can't believe how big Casen is getting. He runs around saying full sentences and so adorable. He was playing on the small tractor outside and hooked my mom's empty hanging flower put to the back and pulled it around. I chased him around the yard until it was time to eat. Dad grilled pork steak for us :) After we ate, they left and I packed up my stuff to go back to school. Mom took to me to Kaci's since I was riding back with her and we were on the road. I packed in about 3 and a half hours of the hunger games on the way. I am almost done with the first book. Kaci and I went straight to dinner to eat with the others when we made it back then we unpacked our stuff. We made a trip to Walmart. Then when I got back, Derrick and I went on a walk. I am very happy to say that Derrick and I are now dating :). God brought a pretty great guy into my life even if he is a ku fan ;). We walked all around the campus and talked  then he walked me back to my room. I unfortunately have a paper due this week and a test to study for so I started on my homework. Kaitlin got back and we caught up. Kaci and Russ came over and hung while I worked more on my paper. Tonight's question is what movies do you never get sick of watching. This could be a long list but my top five are: the Blind Side, Soul Surfer, Date Night, the Benchwarmers, and Steel Magnolias. Day out with mom

It's sad that today is the last full day of Spring Break. It went so fast. I got to spend my whole last day with my momma. We got up and went to Ottumwa to shop. My friends are rubbing off on me to much because I bought a dress. I know right :). It's casual nice and I found it at Target. Then mom and I went to the "mall" (what Ottumwa has left of a mall anyway). They finally got smart and built a Pizza Ranch which is one of mom and I's favorite places to eat at, so of course we had to go there. It was quite delicious if I may add. After getting groceries, we headed home. I started the first Hunger Games book today and so far its good. They do start out a little slow. When we got home I watched 102 Dalmatians until we left to go see Alice in Wonderland, the play that Putnam was putting on. Kaci told us it started at 6-silly girl- so we got there about 15 minutes early.Well it didn't end up starting until 7 so we had to kill a little time in the huge town of Unionville. We sat by these crazy Tade people jk they are pretty cool. The play was pretty good. I knew Sarah, Brett, Craig and Klayton in it. When the play was over, we came home and mom made us some sandwiches since we hadn't had supper. I put Mulan in. I finally played a good word in Words with Friends against Derrick :). I got some bible reading done as well. It was a good last day and I'm sort of ready to go back but then again I'm not. Tonight's question/statement is show a picture of your photography. Zits don't kill people

Happy Friday!This morning I was actually productive and did some laundry as well as typing two pages on one of my papers. I watched a movie in between typing and folding. I headed to Kirksville in the afternoon so that I could get Nicola and I's movie tickets since Kaitlin figured they were going to sell out pretty quick and they did. I got to the movie theater and they didn't end up opening until 3:40 and there was already a line outside. I decided to go to U.S. Cellular and then come back. I have had my blackberry for over 3 years and now its getting to the point where it can't keep a charge and freezes all the time. I also have problems with it calling people so I decided that it had lived its life and was time to move on. As much as I didn't want to change, I ended up getting a touch screen android ascend. It's definitely hard to get used to the touch screen instead of typing the letters but I will figure it out eventually. When I got to U.S. Cellular,it was packed full of people so I thought it was going to take forever but it ended up, people were waiting to see the 2011 Cardinals' world series trophy that was there for the day. A lady ended up helping me pretty quick and get right out of there. I am happy that I was able to get a new phone for only a penny :). I made it back to theater just in time as Kaitlin was going inside. She let me jump in line with her instead of going all the way to the back. What a good roommate I have :). We got our tickets and then went and picked Gentry up. We came back and the seats were already over half full. We found 4 together and then I went back out to wait for Nicola to get there. The Hungers Games was really good. I haven't read the books yet but definitely want to start after watching the movie. After the movie, Nicola and I followed Ashley White to the tennis courts. We talked with her for a bit while her friends played tennis then I was starting to get chilly so I came home. It was nice to get to see them both after a long time. When I got home, I finally gave mom her present from Florida and then watched Lion King with her and dad for a bit. I turned on the Indiana/Kentucky game in my room which Kentucky is about to win which is what I picked in my bracket. So its sad to admit but I am losing majorly to Derrick in Words with Friends right now and I told him tonight that zits killed me. He was like zits don't kill people silly.They do when they are worth 99 points. I never really understood the auto correct messages until I got my phone today. I tried to text ku to Derrick and it ended up being krusty lol. I will definitely miss my blackberry not doing that.Tonight's question is what is your favorite band? This would have to be Relient K or Boys Like Girls. I have seen them both live and both equally great in my book. Well I am off. Good night!

Feels like home to me

Hello from good ole Missouri. It was so nice to sleep in my own bed last night and my cat was sure glad to have me back this morning. She didn't even go in to the kitchen when she heard mom cooking breakfast. She slept on my bed all morning then when dad got home, I brought her out to the living room and stood her on her feet. She flopped over and went back to sleep. It's a rough life for a cat. I just enjoyed my first morning at home and didn't do anything. After the movie I was watching got over, I went to school to see mom and catch up with some others. When I visit school, it should be assumed that I am going to be there for at least an hour because I have to make my rounds and say hi to everyone but I love catching up. All the teachers who talk to my mom or I am facebook friends with were like oh look who just got back from Florida :). I stayed for a couple hours then came home. I watched Tarzan- has one of the best movie soundtracks ever just sayin. Dad got home from work so he and I went to town and got some dinner from BP. It was some great father -daughter time since we got to cruise in his little black truck. After dinner, I went down to my grandma's. She wanted to see my Florida pictures so I showed them to her and we ended up talking for over 3 hours. It was much need and great. We used to have talks like that when I was younger but when I come home from college its hard to get over there all the time. We talked about everything and anything. I really thought about starting my paper for Race, Class, Gender but that didn't happen. Oh well there is always tomorrow. I turned on the Ohio st/Cincinnati game which was a good one until the end and then it was pretty much over for Cincinnati. Michigan St. lost today hahaha. It was funny driving today and seeing the camels and buffalo along the road. Not something you see everyday but you can in Northville :).Tonight's question/statement is show a picture of yourself taken at least 10 years ago. Look at that cute kid up there. That's like one of the few pictures I have of me when I was younger on my computer. Well I am off here for the night, good night!

Destin was the destination

So that sad time finally came where we had to leave Destin. I am so glad to be home but I already miss those ocean waves.Never did I imagine that I would just get in a car and drive with 3 of my friends to Florida. God extremely blessed us on this trip and I can't thank him enough for it. We got up this morning and left a little after 6. Katie and I both slept for awhile then woke up in Alabama because Russ ended up getting pulled over for speeding. He was fortunate and got away with a warning. We were back on the road again. It was a really long trip but I can't complain to much since I got to sleep a bunch on the way home. We made it to back to Katie's house about 6:30. Her parents got Imo's pizza for us. My St. Louis experience is evidently complete according to Katie because when I visited in January she said I had to try it. We said goodbye to Katie then were off to Russ's to switch to my vehicle. We said good bye and loaded our stuff up. Thank you Russ's mom if you read this tonight for everything! Kaci and I made it back to my house a little before 11 which was great considering our estimated arrival time as we were leaving this morning was midnight. It's so funny when I have people text on my phone like I made Kaci text on the way home because they don't like to actually push the letters since my phone is not a touch screen. Kaci did a good job texting back people with no problems. My parents were already asleep when I got home so I woke up quick to let them know I was home and gave them each a hug then waited with Kaci until her mom and Brett got there. I gave Brett his birthday present which was the same thing he gave me for mine this year lol. If you recall back to Nov 5th's blog it was a box with random things including a packet of mustard X(. lol. So overall on my Florida trip I learned that Illinois still smells, adults in Florida are really nice however most college students there only care about themselves, Russ would be the funniest professional golfer ever, Kaci has white hair like a grandpa's (I didn't get to mention the story behind this last night but a little kid saw her with a towel on her head and told his grandpa that she had hair like his :P), Katie could tell you what calligraphy is but sometimes gets confused on punctuation and I probably act like a mom more than anyone in the group but this doesn't stop from jumping on the hotel bed and building a sand castle outside :). Tonight's question is what are you always carrying around with you? I usually always have my cell phone on me and a camera of some kind. If I am at school I am carrying my student id. I did get a lot of bible reading done as well today. Well I am off to bed, good night! :)

Dolphins!

Today was our last full day in Destin. Yesterday we agreed to going parasailing today so when I got up, I called to make reservations. It wasn't five minutes after making them that the lady called me right back to tell me that the wind was to strong and they couldn't take any boats out today.What a bummer! We got ready and ate lunch then headed to play mini golf. Kaci and I both got a hole in one on different holes. Russ decided he was going to hit his ball over the bricks on one hole to get it to the bottom. We were a very interesting crew golfing. We didn't keep score so I can't tell you who won. We had a little bit of time to kill so we went to another tourist beach shop. We then went on a dolphin cruise. It was a boat a little bit bigger then a pontoon boat and it carried at least 20 people on it and was 3 levels. The dolphins weren't right next to the boat but they were pretty close. We drove from the harbor to the gulf of mexico and went from salt to freshwater. The cruise was a lot of fun. Kaitlin told me that she wanted me to bring her a dolphin back but since Kaci or Derrick wouldn't let us keep it in their bath tub at school we don't have a place for it to swim, nor do I think it would survive the 15 hour ride home. Derrick suggested the multi so we could even go swimming with it but Kaitlin thought even that would be to toxic for it. After our cruise we came back and went down to the beach for a bit. The waves were soo big today. You would jump over one and the next one would knock you down. After wiping out a few times, I got out because I couldn't handle the waves. We saw a jellyfish washed up on the shore. It wasn't very big and it was gone the next time a wave came. I told the others that I could of been stung by a jellyfish and that they didn't even believe me. We came in and got ready to go eat. Russ's mom suggested the Boat House to eat at and it was a great choice. I saw that they had gator on the menu and wasn't sure if I should order it even though it was one of the main things I wanted to accomplish while in Florida. I did and it was good! It tastes like frog legs or for you who haven't tried them a mixture of fish and chicken. As we were getting in the car, Katie was like hey wouldn't it be funny if a coconut was in this palm tree and fell and hit me in the head. We were like no because you dying or being unconscious would not be funny. We got back here and talk to mom for a bit and now we are watching Abduction! Great way to end a great trip! Destin, you have been great! I got to see dolphins, eat gator, swim in the ocean and see a palm tree which were the main things I wanted to do while in Florida. I wish we could have went parasailing but that will have to wait for another time. Tonight's question is what songs do you enjoy when you are happy? Never enough pictures

So I thought I was going to go to sleep after blogging but little did I know that two of my best friends would start dating-Kaci and Russ!!!We couldn't just go to sleep after that. I told another one of my infamous ghost stories. Katie's quote of the night, "can you tell me what this is, o wait never mind it's a question mark" Gotta love that girl anyway :P Finally we made it to sleep. This morning we just relaxed after we got up until we got ready and went outside and took a bunch of pictures. We ate some lunch and then set out for the outlet mall. We started going out into like every store but then just started going into the ones we liked. We really didn't buy to much after all we are poor college students. We finished our trip off with some cold stone. Ice cream was very much needed. Katie found something that could have been peanut butter in her ice cream so me being worried about her all the time, went and got a new spoon and scooped it out so that we would not be making a hospital run in Destin. We have found out that a huge majority of the Florida locals are so nice and welcoming. When we asked a lady to take our picture at the mall, she was asking us about our trip and if it was our first time to Destin. At Bass Pro there was a giant shark outside so we took our pictures sticking our head inside it's mouth. We went to Wal-Mart after and got some aloe for the sun burns.When we made it back to the hotel, we were beach bound. It was really nice because there weren't very many people out there out that time and the sun wasn't directly over us. There were dolphins in the distance that we could see jumping today which was so cool! Katie and I were trying to get pictures and this lady came over and started talking to us about it. We found out that she was from Des Moines and she was talking about how her son was going to some college called UCM and we were like thats where we go. She couldn't believe it and she was asking us if we were Christians because her son was and was looking to get sort of involved next year. So of course we had to tell her about the campus house. It's such a small. It was really cool and I really believe that God sends certain people into your life for a reason so they can help you and maybe you can help them. The waves were big then. It is so cool to float on your back on the waves because it feels like they are tossing you in the other and then they catch you again. One time when a wave came, something rubbed against my arm and made my whole arm sting. I got out of the water and I had bumps and redness all around my right arm. I tried to convince the others I got stung by a jellyfish since my mom was like don't go and get stung by one. Katie gave me some benadryl and it felt a lot better. Katie and I got our cameras out so we could capture the sun going down. There is no sight quite like the sun setting over the ocean. God is pretty amazing creating that. By the time we left, there was almost nobody on the beach. We came upstairs and ordered pizza for dinner. I uploaded a bunch of the pictures from today to facebook and it didn't take the mommas long to go through and comment on them ;). Now we are watching a movie and just hanging out. Tonight's question is what is your favorite type of music? If you know me very well, you know that I like almost everything except most country and heavy metal. My favorites are pop and christian. The only country I actually like are Rascal Flatts and Lady Antebellum. Another great day in Florida!Well I am off.Later!

There is nothing quite like walking up with the beach less then 100 feet from your door. Not that we could see it this morning since it was so foggy. We got up and went to the Village Baptist church. This church was huge. There were a lot of older aged people there and hardly any teenagers or children but what do you expect when all the old folk go to Florida to retire. The church had even a full on band including a violin and trombone. We sang I have a friend in God, great is thy faithfulness and my chains are gone so not all old hymnals. After church, we came back and ate our subs from last night. Then we wasted no time getting to the beach. The water was cold at first but it didn't long getting used to it. I love the waves and the clear/green water (sounds like an oxymoron). The water does not taste good though lol. It's so weird being so used to the either chlorine or lake water. We spent much of the time in the water and some laying out. After we left the beach, we got ready to go eat. We decided to try Joe's Crab Shack for supper. It was pretty good. I got popcorn shrimp and Katie got shrimp alfredo and we shared half of our food with each other. A guy played guitar in the restaurant while we ate so we listened and sang along. We stopped at one of those touristy beach stores on the way back. I got Mr. Worth his post card since those were the conditions on him telling mom that it was ok for me to go on this trip lol. I didn't think I got very burnt but now that its been a few hours I am red on my shoulders. I am also sore from failing epically at trying to put Katie on my shoulders with the waves knocking me down until we finally did it and then she hung on to my back while I swam a ways through the water. We buried Russ in the sand. Katie informed me that I must not like tanning that much and I told her I was a fish in another life since I love the water so much.We had one free rental from the hotel so we got Real Steel. It was really good. They have a coloring table for kids in the lobby so us being the kids we are in this trip, stop and colored for a while. Russ colored a princess but gave it red eyes and it was not cute. Katie kept giving him a hard time for it. I colored Zoe from Sesame Street because of my niece Zoe :). If any of you are still keeping track of your bracket, Obama is like the 99.3 percentile while I am sitting in the 66th lol. When I told Derrick this, he decided that I should run the country and Obama should make brackets. Say hello to your new president :). Ku barely won it unfortunately ;) It has been a gorgeous day in Florida. Tonight's question is what is one thing many people don't know about you? hm I guess it would be that I have a birth mark on my chin. It usually takes people a year after knowing me that they notice it. Well I promised Russ's mom some pictures so here are a couple for tonight. We aren't in Northville anymore

Hello from glorious Destin!This morning we left Old Hickory around 8. The alarm clock went off in the room that Katie and I were staying in and she didn't even move a muscle. I just unplugged since I couldn't figure out how to shut it off. Katie and I were loading our stuff when she kept singing spider man to me like 20 times literally in a row. Last night, I had asked Katie for a kleenex and made her dig one out of her bag when we found out this morning that they were right next to me in the vehicle the whole time. Whoops.After getting gas and breakfast we were on the road. We stopped in Birmingham, Alabama at Arby's. As we left, Russ accidentally drove the wrong way on a two lane. There was only one vehicle on it and we quickly got switched around. Alabama was so green and I loved it! Kaci and Russ had a bet going at who would have to go to the bathroom first- Katie or I since we were constantly drinking water or lemonade. Right before we got to Florida, there is a town called Florala where we first saw palm trees. They are definitely different then anything you would see in Missouri. Before getting into Destin, we took a long toll bridge to it since its an island. I was immediately in love with Destin as soon as we got there. Don't get me wrong I love my Missouri fields but looking at nothing but water as far as you can see is amazing. We got to our hotel and checked in. It took us forever but we finally made it to our room with our belongings. Our room had bunk beds which are so cool! Russ and Kaci claimed them. We went out and looked at the water which was breathtaking. We decided to go to Subway and get some supper and then run to Wal-Mart to get a few groceries so we could eat in our room some. The only downside about spring break in Florida is all the ignorant college kids judging your every move and being rude. We already got our first finger for being nice but guess what Jesus loves them anyway :). I talked to mom and let her know we were here. We saw someone wearing a KU shirt at Wal-Mart and told Derrick that those KU people follow us everywhere and he's like must be some smart people down there. I told him I wasn't sure but then he told me that he would help me see the light since I have been hanging around so many Mizzou fans lol. Russ, Kaci, Katie and I took a walk by the beach and just let the waves barely hit our feet. It was so relaxing and calming. It so cool to know that God created the ocean, the sand and the stars. Now we are back in the room,getting ready for bed soon because we are all very tired. I did some bible reading today.Tonight's question is what do you love about photography? Wow does this know me so well I love that you can capture the moment for a lifetime and you have power to create what you want the picture to look like or its surprising. You never know :). Well I thank God for getting us here safe and I know he's going to give us a great break.Good night!

Illinois smells

Happy Friday! No one is happy about walking up before 9 but they are when they know they are headed to Florida. In Studio we listened to the second photo candidate speak and got extra credit for showing up to class since half the people were gone. When I got back to the room, I talked to my mom for awhile and finished packing for the most part. Kaci told me to come over before lunch so I went over there. I ate my last meal with some people that I won't see again until the 25th. After lunch I went back upstairs and hung out with Derrick and Kaci until it was time for us to head out. We got our stuff loaded and hadn't even left when Kaci remembered that she didn't grab her phone or wallet. After getting gas and running to walmart quick, we were on our way. We made it to Russ's house and ate dinner. His mom made us some very delicous lasagna. We switched to Russ's vehicle and were on the road. So far this trip has been so much fun! We have learned that Illinois smells really bad,Kentucky has bad roads, Katie doesn't take the time to read the bathroom sign when she has to go(caseys bathrooms so there are only one of each gender),and Russ doesn't know how to get to his house from I-70.We have rocked out to everything from Kesha to Veggie Tales.Mizzou lost tonight which was very aggravating but I've been in such a good mood I haven't paid much attention to it. It took out anyones hope of a perfect bracket according to the NCAA. Kansas is still in it unfortunately lol. We have a little over an hour till we get to Nashville.I almost forgot about my ghost stories to Katie. One of them was about Russ getting his pinky broke off because he broke a pinky swear,the other one was about Katie getting her arms cut off by ghosts cause she keeps poking me.We couldn't even keep straight faces through the stories. Prayers going out to the families in Northeast month that lost loved ones today and also several of my friends mom with hurt shoulders,as well as all the college students on spring break. I did not get to todays bible reading done. I'm so excited to be in Florida.I don't have the question for today since I don't have the thing to look at. Russ tried to make up a math question for me but I didn't want to chase all the readers from the blog. Well later gator!

Spring Break is so close

One more day till Spring Break :). This morning I got up and went to Ecology. Out of like 50 people only about 16 were there because nobody can stand that class any more. In P.R. we took our editing test and finally turned our second press release in. I went and ate lunch with my friends like everyday. I left just in time to say goodbye to Kaitlin and Megan before they left to begin their spring break.I came back to the room and started laundry. I vacuumed the floor. I carried some stuff to my car and then talked to my mom on the phone for a while. Two quick sad tidbits of news: 1) if any of you know Rita Moore-a SOMO coach- she passed away this morning so prayers going out to the family. 2) Cocoa one of my cats got hit on the road at home. I got bored after the cleaning was done so I borrowed X-Men: First Class from Justin and watched it while I folded and packed my clothes. Dalton came in and watched some of it until I left to go have dinner with Kaci, Derrick, Shelli, Emily, Russ and James. After we got done eating, we went upstairs and watched the rest of season 1 of The Walking Dead. I feel more comfortable about surviving if a zombie apocalypse actually happened. It's a pretty interesting show. When we finished Kaci, Russ, Derrick and I went on walk around campus. It's so gorgeous out. It was weird because like half of the campus has left already for break but then again the quiet is nice. We had a good talk while we walked around. I came back and skyped Ashley for awhile. I finished the rest of X-Men. Now I am going to finish today's bible reading when I get off here. It was a pretty good Thursday :). Tonight's question is what is a t.v. show you enjoy the most. haha well if you ever looked at my blog for just a few days, FRIENDS would probably be the one show that I watch all the time.That or Glee. It takes two to make a thing go right

Friday is so close! Last night was probably one of the worst nights of sleep I have had in college. It was hot and because spring break is approaching everyone is up at all hours. I must of hardly been asleep when I heard Kaitlin say does it smell like fish sticks in here? I was like yes it does,why? and then I fell back asleep.lol by the way this really did happen. Then there was a bird outside the window that wouldn't shut up so finally I just closed the window. I did not let this stop me from having a good day. In studio we did another demo with the lights. I came back and took my photo quiz, finished my press release and studied for the editing test. Katie and I went to the gym for our last work out before spring break. President Ambrose was upstairs doing ab workout the same time we were. We decided not to do our usual weights because the gym was so hot. We went and ate lunch with our friends when we got done. Kaci came over after eating and she,Kaitlin, Kaci and I spent the afternoon just talking. We get to talk to each other all the time but its different when we actually get to sit down and talk. I went to small group at 3:30. We watched Letters to God in Kirstin's room and painted nails. Nora is a beast at painting other people's nails lol. After small group, I came back to my room and finished 27 dresses after starting it earlier. I ate dinner with my friends and then came back to study a little bit more before DIG. Justin, Sean, Lauren, Carrie, Nora, Megan, Kaitlin, Kaci and I went to CCH. It was a pretty good night except for the fact that everyone was melting at CCH. When we got back, the CA's were being pied in honor of pi day. The money raised went to Habitat for Humanity. I pied Dan, the first floor CA. After Kaitlin and I did a bunch of cleaning of our closets and the bathroom. I also did the dishes and took out the trash. I made us some shamrock shakes to use up the rest of the ice cream. Dalton came in for a little bit and hung out. Now I am just sitting here watching the proposal. Tonight's blog title is a quote from the movie.Random note of the day I did beat Derrick in Words with Friends lol. It's only fair since he's beat me twice. today's question is if you had to choose between a million dollars or to be able to change a regret, what would you do? I would choose a million dollars because I don't really have any regrets that I would get rid of. I mean sometimes you do have regrets but there meant to be learned from not changed. The million dollars would be so useful too :P Well I am off here for the night. Good night!

Why hello summer

It went from winter to summer all within 3 days but hey thats Missouri for you. I am not complaining because it was so nice outside! I loved walking to class not chilly. This morning I slept until 10 and it was really nice. I went to P.R. at 11. He handed back our press releases and I didn't get a great grade but it didn't bother me to much because almost everyone did bad to on their first one. We took a practice editing test and then went over it so I was late to lunch since it didn't let us out until like 7 minutes after the class was over. I ate lunch with my friends well most of them since the big table where we sit was taken so everyone sat at like 3 different tables. Everyone left but Justin, Russ and I ended up sitting and talking until like 1:15. I came back to my room, made a smoothie and did the dishes before I had to go meet my editorial group at 2. We got a lot done on our project. Editorial only ended up lasting like an hour after we got our slideshows done. Russ, Justin, James, Lauren, Morgan, Liz, Katie and I went to the park for an hour and enjoyed the sun. We came back and ate at Todd. When I got done eating I went and watched The Walking Dead with Derrick, Kaci and Kaitlin. It was actually a pretty good show. I didn't picture a zombie apocalypse being that interesting but I got into it. We watched 2 episodes for tonight. I came back and did my bible reading. Tonight's question is what do you worry about? Well this question really should be what don't you worry about. The answer to the actual question is grades,school,money, family, and friends just to name the main ones. Well good night! It's so beautiful outside

Such a gorgeous and great Monday that God has blessed us with! In studio, we got to listen to one of the candidates for the photography teaching position speak. I came back to the room and worked some on my photography slideshow for class and then made a Storify for the first time. It's like this program online where you can pull in links from websites and combine them to one story. Kaitlin and I went and lunch with the others. Our table was even more full than usual. I came back to the room and read my bible. Race, Class and Gender was pretty boring. Forum was cancelled so Kaitlin, Megan and I went swimming. The water was amazing like always. We ate dinner with the others. Then all of us went on a walk around Warrensburg.We are such an interesting but fun group to be around, not just saying this because I am biased. Justin picked Kaci and I a flower from a tree since we couldn't reach it lol. When we got back I skyped Mom. Casen was there and he was the giggliest I have ever seen him. Dad, Jon and Maycee were also there.When I was getting off, Casen blew me a kiss. Dad was like Casen are you a monkey butt and he goes yes. So cute! I got ready for the Flashback prom that they were having in the union. I wore my dress from freshman year-I know I was impressed with myself. Kaitlin, Megan and I walked over. Kaitlin ended up being my date so we could in cheaper haha. The dance was a lot of fun. There were probably about 60 people or less there. We danced away and even all took a prom picture. Sean was there filming. We stayed for about half then left because we were pretty tired after a good pool workout, dancing and a walk. Tonight's question is what is your favorite month of the year and why? I would probably say either June because all my camps are going on then and its summer or April because the lilacs and everything are being born as well as the baby animals. Spring Forward

It's everyone's favorite time of year of springing forward...not. Apparently our phones didn't switch over so neither Kaitlin or I's alarm went off but thank goodness Katie was like you guys should probably get up. Since it was already 9:20 we got ready pretty quick. The three of us, Russ, David, Lindsay, and Megan all left for church. We went to the donut shop and then church. The minster had a good sermon and for the special, they sang a new song, Shaken. I love it! After church we came back and ate. Katie and David hung out in our room a while then left. I took a nap and it was awesome! I caught up on all my bible reading and then didn't do a whole lot until dinner. Kaci invited us over to play Just Dance. We watched Forest Gump for a little bit and gave Derrick a hard time. Speaking of which Mizzou and Ku both got number 2 seeds in the tournament. I filled out my bracket and of course have Mizzou winning it all, I hope :). Kaitlin had to leave after a bit. Russ came over and played Just Dance with Kaci and I. I only beat her by like 4 points at the very last second of a song. We had a bunch of fun. After playing for a bit, Russ and I came back and went and talked to Justin since he was back. We ended up talking in his room for over an hour and probably would of talked longer if we all didn't have other things to do. Kaitlin and Megan were watching The Thing when I got back and it looked pretty freaky.Tonight's question is what makes you happy? Well this could be a long list but I will try to keep it short-God, family, friends, kittys, chocolate, summer, Special Olympics, swimming, babies-whether animals or people,etc. :) Well good night!

I'll steal your time

This morning Kathy brought Matt to Warrensburg so that I could take him to the meeting. They managed to find their way to the campus. I wasn't leaving for an hour so he hung out until it was time to leave. We made it to Jeff City for the meeting. It's always great to see everyone. Justin wasn't there so I had to go solo on running the meeting. We planned Victory Village for Summer State Games.  We played a bunch of games, did the cupid shuffle and just had a great time hanging out. I finally got to meet DJ who I have known through facebook for awhile through the Hewletts. After the meeting got over,Matt and I went to target quick and then headed home. Matt kept me entertained on the ride, talking about Mizzou, looking at for all the cops on the rode and so many miscellaneous stories. I met Matt's parents and dropped him off and came back to my room. I took a nap until I told supper time when I was supposed to meet Katie at Todd but she couldn't eat then so I came back to the room and switched back and forth between the Mizzou game and Alice in Wonderland. MIZZOU won the big 12 championship! I was especially glad after I heard the Mizzou was not winning because they were the #2 seed well guess what it doesn't matter. Katie and her boyfriend came over. We talked for awhile and then Kaitlin and Megan got back so we watched In Time. It was really good! Russ came in half way through and watched the movie with us. Now we are just hanging out for a bit and I hope to go to bed soon because I am completely wiped out. Tonight's question is not a question, its describe your favorite place in the whole wide world. My favorite place to be is probably the lake I would say. I could stay out there all day and never get tired of the water. I am still not caught up on bible reading. Well good night!

Enough is enough for the night

This friday could definitely not be described as boring. I got up and went to studio where we got to play with the flash equipment. Katie and I went to the gym and worked out. I went and ate lunch with my friends like usual. Then Sean's mom came to do facial for all of the girls in our friend group. We set up shop in my room and Lauren, Katie, and Kaci came and got a facial with me. It was really fun and relaxing. We did satin hands and she also gave us a bunch of different make-up samples to try that matched our skin and such. I never put on top eye liner so this was an experiment for me. The last time I had this much make-up was my Sophomore year when I allowed Lauren and Alaine to do my make up in cheerleading. After Kaci and I watched the rest of 102 Dalmatians that was on tv and hung out till Kaitlin got back. We ordered pizza for Girl's night and watched some FRIENDS until it was time to go over to Yaeter. Whitney, Katie, Lauren, and Morgan hung out with us until it was time to go see Nora dance in Momentum. We ushered and then got to see the show. I got to hand President Ambrose his program (oooo). Nora did an amazing job and I loved her dances. Some people in the dance company were dancing about Joplin and it was pretty sad but good. My favorite dance was a hip hop number with a bunch of students in a class room. After it was over we came back to Yaeter and watched Footloose with Kaitlin and Megan. Just when you think the day has been pretty exciting and its time for bed, college life proves you wrong. Kaitlin and I heard sirens outside so she looked out the window,they were right outside. A whole bunch of cop cars and a firetruck were at the house across the street. An ambulance came and took someone away on a stretcher so praying for whatever happened. I didn't get to my bible reading today but will hopefully catch up tomorrow. Tonight's question is what do you love most about your grandparents? I love that they were always warm and welcoming with a smile and hug. They always have great food awaiting and are fun to get to spend time with. Well morning is going to come way to fast to get up for YAC so I am off to bed.I cant wait to see the YACers tomorrow.Good night! 

I'll beat you like a red headed step child

It's so close to being Friday! Today was another pretty good day. Justin and I went and ate breakfast at Einsteins since we haven't ever ate there before. I got a chocolate chip bagel with strawberry cream cheese and a hot chocolate which were very good. Justin and I talked for a while in the rec until we had to go to class. I went to Ecology but it wasn't to bad. P.R. was after and since I thought I was done I didn't plan on being in class very ling but my professor and I ended up redoing my lead which I am kind of glad we did because he definitely helped me. I went and ate lunch with the others. I decided to make my Thursday afternoon actually productive and read the rest of Ismael and took the quizzes. I also started working on my polar plunge photo project thats not do for awhile. I sort of watched Mannequin and Take the Lead because they were on in the background. Kaitlin, Megan and I went swimming after taking Kelsey to the train station. I went to Todd and ate supper with the others after. Justin had to be at Northside at 7 so I took him there then went with Katie, Kaci, James and Russ to Wal-Mart. What a crazy bunch to be with. Lion King was on the t.v. so of course we had to watch it for a bit. We even belted out I just can't wait to be king in the store. Justin's practice wasn't over so we sat in the back row and watched. We came back to the campus and talked to Mom for a bit. I tried making shamrock shakes for Sean, Lauren, Kaitlin and for the first time and they turned out pretty good. They were a little thin but I am pretty proud for the first time. We hung out for a bit and shot each other with illegal(kidding) nerf guns.I still need to do my bible reading for the night. Tonight's question is if you could teach something what would it be? I find this to be a good question since my mom was a special ed teacher before moving up to director. Honestly, I would probably be a special ed teacher to if I didn't want to be a photographer. I love working with those kids! I would either do that or be a first grade teacher. That's right when they are still cute but know at least when to use the bathroom and the basics of school. Well good night! Life's too short

You always hear the saying Life's too short. This statement is so true so we got to get the most of it while its here. This morning I saw a million things about Kony on facebook. After Lauren and James telling me that I actually had to watch the video to find out, I just took the time and saw for myself. I encourage you guys to look at it as well because its time something is done. Today was also Spread the Word to End the R-Word day. I proudly sported my gear. I take the pledge because I have seen how it affects the athletes and it is not a synonym for stupid. If we can't say anything nice, we probably shouldn't say anything at all. Since our lifetime is so short we need to not be using the r-word and just be accepting of everyone. We need to travel the world and just enjoy life. This morning I went to Studio for critique day. I got an A on my assignment :). I came back and watched Glee until Katie and I went and worked out. Sean, Lauren and I were going to go to the park but it was really windy and looked like it was going to rain and we all ended up having something to do. Lauren and I did drive to Mcdonalds to see about Shamrock shakes but the machine was broken :/. I went to Race, Class and Gender. I am almost feel like that class is a complete waste of my time anymore because I don't learn anything. It's just awkward. I went to small group after where it was just Kirstin, Kaci and I but that didn't stop us from having an amazing chat. In Captivating, the authors are taking about their experiences with God that let them see his love. I said that cannons went along well with this chapter and Kaci said she had it on her ipod so were going to listen. She turns it on and guess what the first song to come on was without even hitting a button? Cannons! That was our moment of the day when we knew God was with us right then for sure. I ate dinner with my friends. Justin, Russ and I sat in the lobby talking for awhile until it was time to go to DIG. We sang some good songs tonight. Kaci, Lauren, Sean and I went on a walk after CCH which was nice because it was warm outside. We walked by the chapel and ended up going in and looking all around. There was no one there until it was time for them to close it. Sean played us some music on the piano. We walked to the Friendship Tower after and talked for awhile. It was so peaceful and calm. It started lightning so we came to the dorms and not a minute to soon before it poured. I started out in a funk today because of an awful dream I had last night where I am almost certain that I woke up crying but today was actually a really good day :). I need to do some bible reading and then I'm off to bed. Tonight's question is what is your biggest fear? That would have to be being buried alive or covered in mustard lol but no seriously. well Good night!

Windy City?We aren't in Chicago

What a gorgeous 70 degree day it was here in the burg. It was extremely windy but still nice. I went to Ecology and lost the bet because Sean and Lauren showed up. Now I owe them both a small shamrock shake which I think was worth it to get them there. We watched a movie so class got done early. The three of us went to Todd and got brunch. I just ate some fries since I was eating lunch with the others later. We were supposed to turn out press releases in today but he ended up giving us 2 more work days. Since I was about done, I wondered what I was going to do for the next 2 class periods. He came over and looked at my and I ended up having to redo my headline and lead to make it better. I thought it sounded good and now I am not as happy with it but its what he wants so whatever. I still ended up getting done early and I saw someone leave so I did to now that early though. I went and lunch. I came back to the room, watched some Glee and made a smoothie before Editorial. I went to class and we ended up spending most of the time talking about when stuff was due and only about 5% of the time actually learning. Kaitlin, Kelsey, and Megan were in the room when I got back so I watched Glee with them. I went to Todd and ate dinner with my friends. Lauren, Morgan and I went to Ellis after to participate in Sean's CA activity. He was having a casino night and drinks. I had 3 strawberry daquiris tonight,its a wonder I 'm not out of it.jk they were nonalcoholic. I came back to the room and worked on some homework not due now but I wanted to get it done. I read chapter 7 of Captivating and then did my bible reading. I never really knew much about Nebuchadnezzar's story until tonight. I think its cool how he disliked God so much and then after he saw what happened to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendago and he instantly loved God and worshiped him. It's a true testament of what God can do to our hearts. I entertained Kaitlin with my singing of Cough syrup and then decided to color for a little bit. Tonight's question, well its rather a statement is show a picture of your childhood . Which is pictured above. My brother and I during halloween when I was either 6 or 7. I was a skydancer, Jon was a doctor. Well good night!

Mondays aren't so bad sometimes

11 days till Florida! Yes I am starting off my blog this way because like every other college student, I am ready for a break and I can't wait to soak up some Florida sun with 3 of my best friends :). Today has been one of the best Mondays I have had in a while. I didn't feel stressed at all. Studio was the same like every other day. I decided to go back to bed when I got back from class which was nice to get a small nap in to add energy to the day. When I woke up Kaitlin and I watched the beginning of Glee season 1. I signed up for housing next year and Katie is my roommate :). Kaitlin and I went to lunch with the others. Then we went to Wal-Mart. We did pretty good I think because we made it in and out of Wal-Mart in 15 minutes. That never happens. We even had time to stop at Goody's on the way back. We watched some more Glee then I went to Race,Class and Gender. She handed back our midterms and I got an A which I was a little worried about the test but turns out I had nothing to worry about. After class, I came back and ate some more of Mother Craney's salsa while watching some more glee. I went to Forum at 4 which was only first forum today because we were doing our four year plan. It's kind of scary having the rest of college laid out for you but also lets you know how much closer to graduation you are. In the process of planning, I found out that I am now technically a sophomore because of my credits transferred from high school. I won't graduate any earlier though unless I cram 2 semesters of photo classes into 1. I got my done pretty earlier since we had already done it in Freshman Seminar and I could copy it over. I came back to the room and hour earlier. I went and ate dinner with my friends like usual. Katie said that I could try on her dresses to see if I wanted to wear any of them in Florida so I went to her room but none of them looked extremely good on me. I was impressed at myself though that I could fit in little Katie's dresses. Sean,Lauren, Morgan, Justin and I walked to the library to pick out a movie to watch. We ended watching Eagle Eye and it was pretty good. Lauren and Sean stayed and hung out with Kaitlin and I for a while after the movie. I made us some orange banana smoothies that were actually better then I thought they would be.Now I am going to finish today's bible reading before I go to bed. Tonight's question is what gives you everyday inspiration? God and his amazing creations, the SOMO athletes and their will to always do better or have a good time no matter what, and just those achieving stories like a person who beat breast cancer. Whenever I try to have a pity party, I just think of one of those things :). Well good night!

I owe it all to you

I can't believe the weekend is over already but it makes that much closer to spring break. This morning I woke up and heard mom tell Scout to go get me. She jumped on my bed and shoved her cold little nose in my face then ran out when she knew I was awake. We have a smart cat regardless of what anyone says. After breakfast we went to church. When we got home, I put the Princess Diaries in. Dad fixed pork steak for lunch. I got my stuff together and headed out. I made it back to the berg about five. I somehow managed to get here right in time to get a front row parking spot. It was also really nice outside when I got back. I carried all my stuff and then went to dinner. Kaitlin got back right as we were about to go out the front door. I went ate with my friends. After we couldn't decide what we were going to do so James,Russ, and Megan all came up and hung out with Kaitlin and I for a bit. Kaitlin and Megan left and I put in the Blind Side-one of my favorite movies ever! I love it because Sandra Bullock says in the end up the movie that she owes everything to God which is so true.James ended up getting called out to a car wreck because he's a firefighter. Kaci got back and came and watched it with us. Everyone's left now and just Kaitlin and I watching Matilda. I caught up in my bible reading. Tonight's question what is the best concert you've been to and why? It would have to be the Boys Like Girls/ We the Kings 2 summers ago with Jac. Our seats were pretty close and we had so much fun at the Iowa State Fair. I have no complaints about that day, we just enjoyed ourselves and the band was amazing! Well good night!

Just another day with the Antals

For a person who was tired, I had an awful time trying to fall asleep last night. I ended up staying up and watching Atlantis after since I couldn't go to sleep. This morning when I got up, my mom made me chocolate chip pancakes. She and I went to Kirksville to get some groceries. We picked up some Burger King for lunch on the way home. We stopped by Becky's to give her some flowers for her birthday.I put in Pocahontas when I got home. We went to Casen's party at 3. He was so cute blowing out his candles and opening his parents. It was a great party! Lyndsi's grandpa who also shoots Nikon let me tryout out his Tamron 300 lens and I love it. It had automatic focus but also had aperture on the lens. I got to see and hold Calan for the first time. He is so small and handsome. I also held Clara for awhile. When we got home from the party, I took a nap. Then I went down to Grandma's because all the family was getting together. Always a great time when you have a bunch of Antal's in one room together. I got to hold Tennley so I definitely got my baby fill today. We watched Racing Stripes and then I played Uno with Zoe, Steph, and Tim after dinner. It was nice to see everyone for awhile. I came home and watched Phineas and Ferb with dad and mom to celebrate Platypus day :) I tried to catch up on my bible reading some.Now I am watching Pocahontas 2 before I go to bed. Today's question is what is something you did as a child that people remember you for? Well I used to clean out our dog Hector's dog house and my family always remembers that. My dad would say that I ate the dog food but I did not lol. Well I am hopefully off to bed. Good night!

A month seems like a century

Happy Friday! I had my studio midterm this morning. It only took like ten minutes and then I was out of there. My professor was surprised at how fast I got it done but the answers were on blackboard and I studied them so had no trouble. I got an A so all was well :). I was on the road by 9:30 after getting gas. The roads didn't get bad until I got to Macon then it started snowing alot and the roads got slick. I made it home. Scout and I were just lazy for awhile. I was supposed to go get Mom and go to Zack's campus bowl game but it got cancelled so someone brought Mom home instead. You know how good a mother I have? She brought me blue ring pops, some thin mints and another UCM tumbler besides the one I ordered. Jon brought Casen over for a little while. He has grown soooo much. He is talking so much more and even says Rachel clearly now. Just when I think he couldn't get any cuter, he is. I am so excited to celebrate his 2nd birthday tomorrow. We played and laughed for a while. I waited until Dad got home so I could see him for a minute then I went to Ashley's. We watched Letters to Juliet which was really good. We talked our typical girl talk lol. I ate dinner with her and her family. We enjoyed some oh so delicious ice cream. I came back home and hung out in the living room with my family. Now I am watching the second Little Mermaid. I didn't get my bible reading for today done. There really are no excuses, I just didn't get it done. Tonight's question is what is your life story is three words. I would have to say cup's half full because if you try to be positive and always believe in the good side of things, life can be pretty good. Well good night!

You look like you could use this pink ball

It's almost Friday! Happy Birthday to my youngest nephew, Casen! He is two years old today. So it was a gorgeous 75 degree day here in the burg. I got up and studied for Ecology some then went and took my test. I hope it went well! I came back and read my bible some. I went to writing and editing for P.R. I finished my press release early so I just sat there trying to find something to do. People started getting up and leaving with a like 5 minutes left of class. I did not know I could just get up and leave so I sat there being bored and then finally left. I ate lunch with my friends. We managed to fit 13 people around a small square table. I came back to the room and played Just Dance for awhile. I studied for my Studio test and then was sort of lazy until Kaitlin got back from class. Katie, Kaitlin and I went swimming. The water was so amazing again. Apparently these guys thought we needed a pink ball so they threw it in the water next to us. We went and ate at Todd with the others after. Justin, Lauren, Morgan, Kaitlin, Crystal, Jesse, James, and Russ played Telestrations. Canned ham turned into Disco Pig somehow. Java Junction was supposed to be having music there tonight but we all walked over and it was closed when we got there. Everyone was thirty and or hungry so we walked to Sonic from there. It was quite an interesting walk around Warrensburg especially on Thirsty Thursday. I studied for Studio some more. Justin gave us his speech on chocolate to practice for his class. Now Kaitlin and I are just watching FRIENDS. I am going to finish my bible reading and do some dishes quick before bed. I am so excited to go home tomorrow! Tonight's question is what is something that makes you angry? Something that makes me angry is anyone using the r-word, disrespecting anyone with intellectual disabilties, ignorant people, slow drivers, bullies,pop quizzes, test questions that weren't on the study guide and I guess that about sums it up.  So their is a central memes page on facebook. For those of you who don't know a meme is a picture where people add their own text to it like the person in the picture would say that. The memes are usually funny but tonight someone went to far and put one of a girl with intellectual disabilities and it said sometimes I count to potato. What's really sad are the amount of likes on the picture and the comments of people who said it was funny. Some people tried to stand up for the girl but got made fun of or chewed out. You just can't win with certain people. I reported the picture to facebook to get it removed but I wish I could do more. Prayers going out to those ignorant people tonight. Well good night friends!
