At least it's Wednesday

I'm pretty sure this has been to long of a week already and it's only Wednesday. At least tomorrow is December 1 so it should be a good day since I can officially be cheerful about Christmas and my friends can't rag on me for it. I got up and walked my last walk to library at 9 a.m. for class. We reviewed for the final then I came back,watched tv and then practiced my presentation for Ideas and Visual Arts. I went to Foundations where he couldn't find his lecture powerpoint so we just asked some questions and then left. I was actually bummed that he didn't show today's because it was over nature photography and I am really interested in Nature photography. Then I went and ate with my friends. At 1 I went to Ideas and Visual Arts. When it was my turn I gave my project,so excited and I hope it made an impact. I showed the russell video with it and I think things went pretty well. Then Russ, Kaci and I went to Wal-Mart. When I got back I did my bible reading which was Number 21-25. Dalton wanted to go eat at 4 so I went with him. I played Just Dance for a little bit then skyped with Mom and Casen. He is always smiles for me on the web cam. Katie and I went to go eat. I realized that I did not have my keys that have my id on them. I went back and retraced my steps, searched the dining hall and asked the people working. Nothing :(. After the others ate, not me because I had just ate at 4 and didn't have my card to swipe, we looked some more for it. After hoping it would turn up after they cleaned in between dinner and late night, I decided to check back after the basketball game. Katie, Kaci and I walked over and hung out with Morgan until Nora got done with dance so we could go to the game. Whitney let me borrow her id so I could get into the game without having to pay for a normal ticket. Then Morgan let me borrow hers to since she looks more like me. We went to the game  and found a spot. Russ had to play in the pep band for someone. Boys and Girls both beat SBU. I bought some thin mints from the girl scouts who were there because well thin mints are amazing. After the game we walked back and I was going to check the dining halls again but the others wanted to eat late night so we went in. Well still no keys. I came back to the room after no luck anywhere and called mom because I had reached my cool point and I knew she would be able to pray or know what to say because moms are just like that. She and Dad prayed and so did I. I know tomorrow I will find them. She told me to call public safety and tell them about it. The lady said they weren't there and to call the lost in founds in the library and union which both were closed already so I will check tomorrow. Then if they still don't show up after I check there call them back and they will take down my number so if anyone turns them in they can call me. I am trying to stay calm now. I know I will find them tomorrow. Just please be praying that I stay calm tonight and that they will show up tomorrow. Thanks! If I am still awake in an hour, I can shave my legs finally because November will be over! Yay! Don't shave December is not in my future. Well until tomorrow

Bahumbug but that's just you cause it is my favorite holiday

I am happy to say that I slept much better last night :). I got up and went to Freshman Seminar. Today was our last class since we already did our final. We wrote our last prompt then were out of there within 15 minutes. I came back to the room and watched Boy Meets World with my free time before psych. Then I went to Psychology. It wasn't too awful, I just keep telling myself its almost over. I then went and had lunch with my friends. After lunch I had small group. We had a really good talk today and I just love my group so much, we are all helping each other grow towards God. I came back to the room and did my bible reading which was Numbers 16-20. Then practiced my spread the word presentation for tomorrow. Then Katie, Nora and I went to see Breaking Dawn. It was really good and they did a good job of mostly staying on track with the book. There were some kids in the movie and I am pretty sure I would not take my kid to see a vampire movie lol. I dropped Katie off at the sorority house (she hasn't moved yet,it was just a meeting) and then Nora and I met the others at Todd to eat. To continue or Tuesday night tradition we watched Glee in my room. It was an especially good episode tonight in my opinion. We had a floor meeting after to inform us on everything we had to do before leaving for winter break.After watching Raising Hope I studied for my LIS final for a while. Now I am watching FRIENDS before I attempt to get to bed earlier tonight. To explain tonight's blog title, at lunch I was talking about Christmas movies and everyone was like I don't like watching Christmas movies and I was telling Mike that he needed more Christmas spirit. Then I told him that Thursday I was wearing my Christmas outfit and they were all going to like it. I will get my friends excited yet. Thank goodness Nora and Kaitlin can back me up on this. Jsyk tomorrow at midnight Russ and I will be able to shave and it looks like neither of us is going lose this. Yesterday we decided we were going to start trying the whole kill them with kindness thing so tonight at supper somebody said something and I was like hey we are being nice now. So Whitney said to Mike "I like your northface hoodie you rich dangus(her word)."Then Russ looks at Mike and says "black looks good on you." Whintey-"That's like saying white looks good on me" Needless to say we were trying our hardest lol. Over this past semester in my small group, we have been talking about the reason for believing in God. I said that it's the little things,the miracles,the experiences that let me know for sure he is there. Today I got to hear several of those stories and it reminds of how awesome he is and how he always makes a way. This is just a perfect example of how God created each of us with a purpose and made us special. I love this story! It's safe to say that today was soo much better than yesterday! Case of the Mondays

Did anyone else feel like this was an insane Monday? Both Katie and I could not sleep last night. A section of our lights fell down in the middle of the night and Katie thought someone was trying to break in the room. I thought I was talking in my sleep and imagined the whole thing. This morning I started off my Monday by going to my library class then went and put my photo assignment on the server. When I came back to the room I just relaxed until my next class. Then I went to Foundations. It was actually really depressing because he was talking about how amazing you have to be to get a job and if you have a media emphasis, he won't pass you for mid program assessment unless you have worked for a newspaper which pretty much means I got to work for a newspaper before my junior year. Then I went and ate lunch with my friends. After lunch I went to Ideas and Visual Arts. Sometimes I almost like that class when we talk about social and world issues. After class, I came back to my room and read for small group tomorrow. I worked on my final for Ideas and Visual Arts then watched some t.v. I broke up with Jesse this afternoon. Don't worry I am fine, I have my reasons and we will be better as friends. I took a little nap before Kaitlin came over to hang out a little bit before supper. I talked to Ashley for a little bit. My friends and I went and ate supper. Then Morgan, Lauren M., Russ and I went rock climbing. I decided to go at the same time as Morgan but the half of the wall I went on was harder then the normal one and I could feel it. Then we went again this time I went on an easier part and Morgan went on a really hard part. Needless to say all of us will probably be a little sore tomorrow. When we got back, I showed them the Grannies are for powning noobs,thanks Brett and Kaci for showing me lol. I started working on my advent calendar and was able to finish it while watching Bug's Life :). I talked to my momma afterwards. Today's bible reading is Numbers 11-15 and Psalms 90. I am almost done with it. Please keep Dylan and Dalton Howe in your prayers as they lost their home to a fire this last weekend, also Sherry has been in the hospital recently and could use some prayers as well. Yesterday I forgot to mention that I got gas in Columbia for $2.95 :D. Well here's to a way better Tuesday which I know it will be because Katie and I are going to see Breaking Dawn. Share the road

Last night I had so many dreams and a bunch of them were not good so it kind of put me in a funk today which I am not proud of. I went to church. I did my bible reading and actually got ahead.Today was Numbers 7-10. When I got home I worked on my advent calendar and Dad cut the plexi glass for me to glue the pill bottles on to. I still can't show you tonight because when I back to the burg and went to get it out of my car, it slipped out of my hand and some of the bottles came off so tomorrow I will have to borrow Lauren's glue gun and fix it. I loaded everything into my car after lunch, said goodbye to the parents and headed back to the burg. I made it back in good time even though traffic was crazy. After I got back and unloaded everything my friends and I went to Todd to eat. We went to family video after and rented The Switch. Lauren, Morgan, Russ, Mike, Katie and I came back and watched it. It was actually way better then I expected. When it was over Katie and I put up the Christmas decorations. We made Mike and Russ help us some. In the movie the boy gets head lice and I was looking at Katie's yearbook and she was like here let me show you the guys who head lice lol. We watched a christmas movie on abc family afterwards. I was showing them my small town photo story when I came to a picture of an amish share the road sign. They told me how they had never seen one before. I thought that was crazy. Jauan came into our room and mentioned deer jerky so I asked him for some because that's all I had been asking for for the last month. He brought me a whole plate a little bit ago which made my night. I love it! I got Katie to try a tiny piece but she wasn't to keen on the whole deer thing. It's so great to be back with my friends again although I miss the ones at home already. 9 more days I'm here then I am back home for a month. Katie and I are actually going to try and start off the week by going to bed before midnight lol so good night!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

This morning I got up and said goodbye to my family as they went back to Ohio today. It was nice to get to spend some time with them this week since we only get to see them once a year. Then I watched Deck the Halls. Since I was in such a Christmas mood, I put up the Christmas tree in my room and then put the tree in the living room. Then I put up some Christmas lights inside the house and watched Christmas in Wonderland. Then I did my bible reading this afternoon. Today it was Numbers 3-6. I was getting tired so I took a nap. When I got up I continued the Christmas mood by watch Garfield's christmas. I started working on my advent calendar. I decided to use pill bottles. Then I left to go Kirksville and eat with some of my friends that I haven't seen in a while. We met at Lapa Changa. It ended up being Danielle, her cousin, Callie, Nora Dodd, Ashley and I. We were pretty hungry waiting on Ashley to get there and went through a bunch of chips and salsa. I got pollo con queso-amazing! We had a great time catching up. Ashley and I went to Wal-Mart so I could get a few things. After I got what I needed we said goodbye to the others and left. When I got home I finished my advent calendar although it did not come out how I wanted so Dad came up with another idea which I am going to try tomorrow before I head back to college. I don't even know where this break went to. I can't believe its already time to go back. Now I am going to get ready and go to bed. Good night!

Advent Calendar

Happy Black Friday!I am proud to say I did not go shopping. Sleeping was way better :). For a few years now I have really wanted an advent calendar. I don't know why. Just the thought of opening a new one everyday and not knowing what to expect is exciting. They are so expensive so tonight I decided I am going to make one. Katie, Kaitlin and I love Christmas so hopefully they will both like it in our room. Katie will be in there the first half of the week when we get back and then Kaitlin will move in. Either way I will blessed with the roommate I have. I heard black friday was pretty crazy this year which is a little saddening. Why do people need to get that out of control for one thing. I will be participating in Cyber Monday instead because I am an online shopper. I like shopping in the store but this time of year I'd rather buy online. Casen got to spend the day with us today. He showed his cute little self every minute. Becky and I spent most of the day watching Christmas movies. Surprisingly they weren't on every channel but give it a week and they will be. Mom made some chocolate chip cookies this afternoon. Becky and I did the hard work of stirring in the chocolate chips lol. Brett, Kaci and I met at Spencer Lake and played tennis for awhile. We mostly just hit the tennis balls back in forth instead of playing like actual games and keeping score. We did play 3 games of sort of tennis. Then after we got to cold, we went to Casey's. Kaci was very kind and bought be a hot chocolate. After we paid, we parted our ways. When I got back I caught up on my bible reading. Today is was Leviticus 26-27 and Numbers 1-2. Dad, Uncle Bruce, Grandpa, and Aunt Ruth got here and we had supper. We watched one of my favorite Christmas movies-the Santa Clause! Then we watched Open Season. Uncle Bruce was joking around and informed me that cameras were a sin that it was in the bible in hesitations lol. I told him in that case I sinned 500 times yesterday and will be sinning extra since my major is photography. Then I was reading a photography magazine so I was in the process of sinning. After supper I finished my poster for Ideas and Visual Arts. I am so excited to give it on Wednesday over Spread the Word to End the Word. Then I read my stack of magazines that I hadn't got to read yet. Then Mom, Becky, and I looked up ideas on how to make an advent calendar. I will let you know tomorrow what the outcome is. Altogether it was a great Friday! I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the day. Now we are finishing a Christmas movie. Jac, Sam, Ashley, Elizabeth, Amy and I were going to have a girls night tonight but Jac got sick and we definitely didn't want to try to go through with it with her feeling rough. I am sad I didn't get to see them because I haven't seen Sam or Amy since August and if I don't get to see them tomorrow then I won't get to see them until Winter break. Pray that Jac gets better quick because I don't want her to have to spend her break sick, and pray for any injuries that people received from black friday (I'm serious on this because I heard about multiple ones). No pie=sad puppy

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am so thankful for the wonderful friends and family I have and for having God in my life. They have truly blessed me. This morning I got up and watched the McDonald's day parade from Chicago since we don't get the channel the Macy's one is on. Becky stayed at our house last night since my Grandpa only has one guest bedroom at his house. After the parade I made a strawberry cheesecake. Then we got ready an headed down to Grandma's. Everyone was there and on time if I may add. I was able to get pictures of each smaller family which was an achievement since no one will usually let me take their picture. I got my noodles which I had been waiting for and Zack made amazing pork loin. After being stuffed some people played uno,others play with the kids and the guys did there own thing. About 4 I made Joey get all his clothes that he wanted to wear for senior pictures. Then he and I went to the school and I took some on the football field, gym and in the parking lot. Then we took some more when we got back. They turned out great I think. I am so excited to use one as my final. Little Randy was sitting at the table eating and Toby started barking. He said "Toby is sad, My uncle Tim "Why is the dog said?, Little Randy "He wants pie". I am sure Toby couldn't agree more. We all just had a really great day together and I couldn't have asked for a better Thanksgiving. I can't believe its already Thursday. I have so much to do in the time left of break.I still need to finish 2 finals, have a girls night with my friends tomorrow,and maybe going to see Breaking Dawn with Kylie on Saturday. I brought 2 books home and I was hoping to get to read some on both of them when I can barely get my bible reading done which I still haven't done. I will hopefully get it done tomorrow because after I go get Becky, I am off to bed. Later!O the bible reading was Leviticus 22-25.

Skitels is really good

This morning I got up and went to my hair appointment. I just got a little trim. Then I headed to school since it was an early out. I hung out in Mom's office for a bit and talked to Ashley while she worked then went to the preschool. I caught Jace off guard since he didn't know I was coming. It didn't take the new preschoolers long to get attached to my hip. Jarrett, a little girl who lives next to my grandpa, couldn't remember but once she did, did not let me go. Before I knew it I had three munchkins piled on me with a stack of books they were wanting me to read to them. I got one book read when it was time to get ready for lunch. I left and went and got lunch for mom and I. Katie and Tammy were both working so I got to catch up with them. After eating I went and found Mr. Worth in Ms. Dewitt's room. The kids were working on writing things they are thankful for on the turkeys. Aiden spotted me right away so then he started righting my name on a feather. Mr. Worth tried to give him a hard time for writing my name after I just walked in the room and he helps him read and write through out the week. I was like Aiden and I were best buds last year in preschool so then Aiden wrote Mr. Worth's name on the next one. the kids left for special so then Jacinda, Ms. Dewitt and I just sat and talked for a little bit. Then Gentry got to school so we went and sat my mom's office and chatted. Kaitlin and Tara got there so we all got to talk for a little bit. Then school got over so mom and I went to Kirksville. After since it was Sonic happy hour, of course I had to get my usual slush. Mom helped me come up with some ideas for my photo story assignment so on the way home I stopped in town and shot some pictures. When I got home I did my bible reading which was Leviticus 16-21. Then ate supper. After supper I went down to Grandma's and took some pictures of Morgan, Randy and Steph. The munchkins cooperated so well and smiled for me. They would have let me take pictures all day if I would have wanted too. When I got back Elizabeth, Brett and Kaci came over and we played rock band then just dance. I would just like to point out that I beat Brett sitting down on one song :P. I introduced Elizabeth to sugar snap peas. Brett showed us a bunch of Trale Lewous videos which is where tonight's blog title comes in. You can buy skitels for one money lol. My aunt,uncle and cousin got in from Ohio. They hit a deer by our house though. Thank goodness it wasn't bad. We had a really great time tonight. We skpyed Whitney and Russ. I'm so excited for Thanksgiving tomorrow because this year I get to stay as long as I want. No acl injury or anywhere I have to be. :) Well I'm off to bed. Well maybe not asap because I am watching sister of the traveling pants 2 and going to edit some photos.Later!

Hit me with your best shot

Today I watched Casen all day. It was fun just to get to spend all day with my nephew. He was really good for me and spent the day playing and chattering non stop. You can't take your eyes off of him though or he will find some kind of trouble. He thought that Maycee needed a drink of water from our water thing so he just pushed the button down and let the water run onto the floor. He soaked the front of himself so needless to say Aunt Rachel did not let him out of her sight the rest of the day. He fell asleep pretty quick after lunch and let me get a nap in. We played and giggled the rest of the afternoon and then his mom came and got him. Jac and Liz texted me to go eat at buddies but my dad was already grilling me pork steak so I didn't go. I was feeling better today but now I am not feeling great again.After supper I watched the rest of season 2 glee. Then I watched the x factor in between baking cookies. I started on my bible reading which is Leviticus 11-15. I am about to finish it. Glee wasn't on regular tv tonight, go figure since I could actually watch it. I felt like as discouraged as I got today God still made the way. He is continuing to bless me all the time. Please be praying for all the sickness going on in many people right now and for Roger's family. His grandfather passed away tonight. Well I'm hoping the hot bubble bath will help me feel a little bit better.Good night!

Go Paint the Sky

Last night right before I went to bed I started having a sore throat. This morning my throat was feeling better but I still spent the day sick :(. I got up and spent my first morning of break watching cartoons like any normal college student lol. Then I ate some lunch and went to my room and watched Glee. My cat and I fell asleep for awhile. When I woke up I was feeling way better. I decided that if I got up and stayed busy then I might keep feeling better. I ate some soup while watching some more Glee. I got yesterday's bible reading done and still have to finish todays which is Leviticus 5-10. Kylie came over and we watched All About Steve. Mom got home and had Casen. Mom had to go back to the ball game so I watched Casen. Kylie had to leave after the movie was over so I played with Casen until Jon got there. Casen is so silly. He took his sock off and put my fuzzy sock on and was walking around with it on. He laughed every time I tickled him with my red pillow. I can't wait to spend the whole day with him tomorrow. After Casen went home I started working on my final project for Ideas and Visual Arts. I was in a painting mood when I got done painting the poster board so I painted a picture. It came out pretty good I think for have not painted for a long time. Now I am going to finish my reading then get ready for bed since I am going to have to get up early tomorrow to babysit Casen. Today is Kaci Tades birthday jsyk! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KACI! Sometime this week I will get to celebrate with her. well good night!

60-30 seriously?

This morning I got up and went to church with my family. Zack and Zoe were stayed at our house last night so I gave them there sunday school lesson today and Tennley was there so I got to hold her and see her.Yesterday it was warm out and today it was freezing but that's Missouri weather for you. When we got home I had the kids get their stuff rounded together so I could take them home because I had a family shoot in Memphis at 1. I took them to their mom's then went and met the family I was shooting at Gas and More. We drove out to the lake and I took their pictures. The one little boy's teeth were chattering the first time I took his picture. We had a lot of fun and I really wish I could of given her edited pictures but I still think they came out pretty good. When I got home I watched Fired Up and then took a nap. For some reason I have been really tired since I have been home, probably all those late nights catching up with me. After I got up and ate some food, I got ready to head to Lancaster to watch Taylor preach with Ashley. Then I went to my church after wards. I started to play the wii but then didn't feel like it so I put a Christmas movie in then skyped with Katie,Russ and Mike. I already miss them and its only been a few days. I miss all my college friends actually. When I am there I miss my friends here and when I'm here I miss my friends there lol. I forgot the AMA's were on so I am kind of sad I didn't get to watch them, maybe its because Russ wasn't here and it's only fun to watch them with him since he doesn't know who any of the people are on there. After skyping with them I was going to do my bible reading but I am starting not to feel great so I am going to try and go to bed earlier then I usually do. I failed at it last night since Brett and kept getting pictures off of iwastesomuchtime.com and sending them to each other on facebook. Tomorrow I am going to try and work on my final projects and get all the random things done before the rest of the week of babysitting Casen and hanging out with friends and family. Good night! Pray that I do not get sick! O and todays bible reading was Exodus 39-40, Leviticus 1-4. I will catch up on it tomorrow!

Where did my Saturday go?

First day of break, so I got to sleep in.I am pretty sure this Saturday went really fast. This morning when I got up I laid around and watched Extreme Maker Home Edition with Mom until I got ready to go over to hang out with my sister. I went by Roger's to get the kids but they were at Jen's. So I went over and talked to her for a while and the rest of her family and until the kids were ready then we went back to Roger's and the kids got their stuff. I took them back to Jess's and we spent the afternoon talking and playing wii. We had a good time and after a while the kids and I left to come here. We watched Evan Almighty then Zack and I played with legos. I am pretty sure I built the best lego apartment complex ever lol.  Then we watch Paul Blart: Mall Cop. I got caught up on my bible reading. Today it was Exodus 33-38. Zoe was itching to play the wii so she and I played Just Dance 3. Then she wanted to play Rock Band so played that for a little bit. Now Zack is playing the wii while I am blogging. For some reason I am so tired right now and I figured I would be energetic today. I am pretty excited about having my first family shoot tomorrow although I won't have any sneak peeks for you because I am taking them for one of Jess's friends on her sd card so she can just have them that day. Well good night!

Coming home never felt better

Finally Friday and I can come home! This morning I woke up and saw that Katie was still sleeping so I thought I just woke up early but as I was getting ready to fall asleep again she got up and rushed out the door to class. I wasn't really tired so I got up and got ready to go. About 10 we were all ready and left to head for home. I followed her all the way until the turn off in Columbia then headed north. I got to school to stop and see momma and say hi to everyone. I made my rounds from little Ashley and Becky, to the preschool, to the high school and got to visit with the teachers for awhile. It was after 4:30 when I finally got done visiting and headed home because Jon wanted me to go get Casen. As soon as I showed up at the babysitters, he was smiling and talking up a storm to me. I miss him so much when I am at college. I brought him and played with him for awhile until Jon and Lyndsi came and got him. In  my room there were 3 more vintage cameras so I now have 7. My little collection is starting to grow. I did some laundry then put Valentine's Day which is funny because Kaitlin was watching it to at the same time. I think we will be pretty great roommates. I went to the living room and chatted with my parents for awhile while watching Phineas and Ferb. hehe. Dad wanted to know all about Jesse. Now I am just blogging before I go do tonight's bible reading which is Exodus 28-32. Today I was thinking of my family and I realized that through out the last few months we have grown really close. My sister and I talk so much more and have a really good bond. I call my mom all the time at school and I just feel like I can tell my parents anything. I am so excited to be able to spend the next week with them all. I think God has truly blessed me especially this week with Vision week! Well laters!

No shave Novembrah?

Thursday woo which means its almost Friday!!!I got up and went to T and C this morning. I finally have a perfect picture to present to him but then he thinks that it could have improved on the theme. O well. After T and C, psychology was cancelled so I came back and took a nap until lunch. Then I went and ate with my friends. After lunch, I came back and started cleaning and packing. I did some homework then carried some of my stuff to my car. I watched FRIENDS for awhile then I got to skype with Ashley. Then Russ came in and we watched Katie's camp videos. Then we went downstairs to Mike's room to order pizza with the others. I came back up and got ready to go to play with Lauren and Sean. I ate pizza with the others then said goodbye to Jesse as he left for the break. Nora, Morgan, Sean, and Lauren were going to go to Sonic but it was already after 7 so we just drove around and parked and agreed to go to Sonic after the play. When we got to play we didn't think you actually had to sit where your number was so we sat towards the middle of the row but as people started showing up they actually wanted their spot and someone sat in Lauren and I's seats so she, Sean, and I just sat in the back so we could all sit together. There really isn't a bad spot in the theater though. Almost, Maine was really good. It made miss going to see plays with my mom and grandma. After it was over we got Morgan and Nora and went to Sonic. Today was the last day of being without facebook. I made it 96 hours without it and I feel like I got to grow with God through the whole thing. I caught up in my bible reading. Today it was Exodus 21-27. I got to talk to my momma to and told her that I would see her around 1 tomorrow instead of 6 like originally planned because I decided it was pointless to wait around all day to go to my 1pm class when we weren't doing anything in class. Technically I could have went home this afternoon but I wanted to see Almost Maine so I will leave in the morning when Katie and Mike do. On the way back to my room, Josh was talking to Sean and he was like no shave novembrah? lol.I also got to text my sister for a little bit. I am so excited to be home and see everyone for a week but I will miss my friends here for the week. Almost everyone is gone now so I am going to get ready for bed. Good night.

Packing food isn't in my future

Wednesday!Its almost Friday! This morning my 9 am class was cancelled so I got to sleep in late. When I got up I went to Foundations. We talked about a career as a portrait photographer. Then I went to eat with my friends at lunch like usual. Katie and I talked about living arrangements and she decided to move into the sorority house next semester so that we can get an apartment next year so after talking with Kaci and Kaitlin. Kaitlin said she would move in her. So I am losing one roommate and gaining another. I went Ideas and Visual Arts at 1. Then when class got over I went to CCH so I could finish going through Vision Week. It was another great experience there. There was a station where you could write a poem about something that has been bothering you so I wrote mine about divorce and I felt like a load was lifted when I got done writing it. I can't repost it on here because when we got done writing them we were supposed to turn something not so good into something better and cut them into something so mine became a snow flake. After class I came back her and watched FRIENDS and talked to my mom on the phone, Ashley and Mr. and Mrs. Worth. Then Katie and I went back to CCH so we could package so meals for Africa. Katie realized that she wasn't going to be a professional packer when she spilt one on hers. When we got done and walked with the others to Ellis for supper. After supper we came back and finished West Side Story. It was not to bad. Then Kaitlin and I went to Zumba. The instructor actually didn't try to kill us tonight. Then she and I went to late night ate some breakfast :). When I got back Nora, Kaci, Liz and I watched the fifth Bring It On. Jesse and Trevor came in and watched it then some other people came and watched it off and on. I am sad to report that I didn't get my bible reading done for today. I feel bad because I had a little bit of time where I could have done it but I will get caught up tomorrow. Today it was Exodus 16-21. Well I am going to bed pretty soon. Good night!

Not the Jazz Hands!

So we got back from the midnight worship at CCH about 1 which makes for an early morning. So far I have made 48 hours no facebook. I am starting to not miss it so much but it is still going to be a hard two days without it. Today I went to Freshman Seminar which didn't last long because people gave their presentations then we left. Then I went to psychology. I cam counting the class periods left-3 jsyk and then the final. I went and ate lunch with Kaci, Katie, Lauren B., and Mike. At 1 I met for my small group but it was just Kirstin and I again. We walked over to do more of the Vision week activities at CCH. I was downstairs for an hour and didn't make it through the whole thing. God is really working and I am so excited to see the changes he does in our lives. I will hopefully be able to finish it tomorrow because I am anxious to see the rest of what God has planned in the basement of CCH. I went and prayed at 2. I painted again today while I prayed and it was again a great time spent with God. Sean and I were supposed to get our tickets for Almost Maine at 2:30 but he didn't show up so I went and got Lauren's and I's. When I got back I had mail! It was the pictures I had ordered from Wal-Mart. So I got to put some new pictures on my wall. I watched FRIENDS and worked on my final project for Ideas and Visual Arts. Then I did my bible reading which was Exodus 10-15. Jesse came and hung out until supper then we all walked over to Todd and ate Thanksgiving food. It was so delicious. When we walked back, Lauren had forgotten her purse at Todd so Jesse drove her back over while we all stood in his parking spot to save it.Then we watched Glee like usual on Tuesdays. My sister called me and told me about a photography job, which I am very excited for. At 8 Nora, Morgan and I went to the FUSE fashion show in the Union. It was pretty cool since I had never been to one before but it was hard to see. Kirstin did a very good job modeling. They also served Mock Tails.The polynesian dancers were cool but the african ones not so much. After it was over we walked to Yaeter for a minute to get some pepsi. Nora stuck it in her hoodie and said she had a vampire baby like twilight in her stomach. It was pretty great. Then we talked in high voices all the way back until we got to Lauren M.'s room. We decided to watch West Side Story tonight and then Nora and I would watch something else tomorrow. I like it already. We didn't make it all the way through. They do a lot of dancing in it and we were like they are going to kill each other with their jazz hands. Not the Jazz hands! We were talking about how we should be in a gang (kidding) and I was like we could because we have Lauren. pause pause pause Lauren-"Is it because I'm black" bahaha. Now I am just hanging out with Jesse before I go to sleep. Good night!

Becoming Closer to God

This morning I got up and went to my library class and it only lasted 18 minutes. It took longer to actually get to and from class then it lasted. Today started the beginning of Vision week that CCH is doing to hopefully grow relationships with God.I decided to give up facebook until Thursday night when Vision Week is over. It is very hard but its going to be worth it and after 24 hours God is already teaching me many things. Since I got out of class early I went to photo lab to put my assignment on the server and do another assignment. I don't usually post pictures but I'm going to share my themed time assignment, Here is just one of the pictures. It's of Casen. I also took some of Katie and of the leaves outside. To me this picture is a definition of time. After working the lab, I came back to my room and just listened to music until Foundations. We looked at professional photographers. This one guy went to the top of a skyscraper on one of the poles were there is a light so planes don't hit them and took a picture. Now I am not afraid of most heights but I just don't think I could do that. Then I went and ate lunch with my friends and boyfriend. Then I went to my last class of the day,Ideas and Visual Arts. At 2:30 I had signed up to pray for the 36 hour prayer thing at CCH. I got there early so I went downstairs and did the first part of the vision week that they have set up then went and prayed. I just had an amazing time talking to God today. We got to talk and pray about a lot of things. In the prayer room one wall is painted white and there are paints and markers in there so you can doodle on the white wall. So while I was praying I painted a little saying on the wall. I thought a half hour was going to seem long but I actually went over my time so it was good that the girl who was after wasn't there yet. It's amazing what talking to God does for you. I felt so great after it. I have really been feeling like my bible reading has kind of been shoved off like o I have to do it kind of thing and I don't want that. I did this so I could experience the bible in a new way and want to read it.That's exactly what I did when I got back because I wanted to read it :). Today it was Exodus 4-9. Moses and Joseph are great testaments to what are life could be like if we just let God have his way. Now I don't think any of us will be leading people from the Egyptians anytime soon but who knows what he has planned for us. After I finished, I watched Friends then read the next chapter for my small group. I had a great afternoon growing with God. I know not having Facebook is hard but I know he's going to help me through it and because of this my reliance will hopefully be a lot less on it and more on God. I went and ate supper with everyone like usual. When we got back Jesse and I hung out for awhile until he had to leave to go to a music thing and I went and got ready for Zumba. Usually its not so tiring but today she wore us out. When I got back the others decided they wanted to play fugitive and tried to convince me but I did not give in. So I stayed in here and watched Bride Wars and did some homework. Now I am going to get ready and go over to CCH for their midnight worship service tonight. So until tomorrow! :)

Malnourished

So this was a weekend for people to have no consideration for anyone else because last night someone let there car alarm go off constantly and then this morning someone kept setting an alarm off. After finally getting to sleep last night I got up for church this morning. Sean, Russ, Kaci, Brett, Blake, Katie, Mike, Lauren, Liz and I all went. When we got back we went to Ellis and ate. I got my blueberry pancakes so I was pretty happy. We play some telephone and it was great. Then after lunch we came back here and played some Dance Dance Revolution then went outside. Russ, Brett, Katie and Mike played tennis and soccer while Kaci, Blake and I just hung out and talked on the sidelines. a bee stung me while we were out there and it hurt. Lauren B. came and joined us then after awhile we all went to my room and played some Just Dance 3. Kaci, Russ, and I hatched a plot on Thursday to freak Brett out and make him think Russ and Kaci were dating. We told him today and the plot succeeded! After awhile Brett and Blake decided to head back to Northville. It was nice to have a visit from them. Then Katie and I were going to nap but the Santa Claus came on so of course we had to watch it. Then at 6 we went and ate with the rest of our friends. When we got back half of us watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas while the other half played fugitive (which I found out a little bit ago they didn't end up doing). Jesse got back so I went down to his room to see him. Last night a bunch of us t-peed and ducktaped Jesse and Trevor's room and Trevor saw today and was not happy at first so went to apologize to him. Although they thought is was funny by the time we got there. Trevor and Bronco took Jesse out for us birthday so the rest of us hung out on the 3rd floor except when Lauren M., and I left to go to our floor meeting. When I got back and saw we weren't doing anything I just came up to my room and relaxed. O I did my bible reading earlier.Today it was Gen 48-50 and Exodus 1-3. It was also Jesse and Lauren B.'s birthday today. Well I am going to try and go to bed early tonight hopefully without problems tonight. Good night! The blog title is because Sean and Lauren M. were turning Nora's name into words and they put into Malnorished lol and I thought it was an accurate blog title since some of us seem like we are sleep malnourished tonight.

Eating Kevin G

Last night I didn't end up getting to bed until almost 3 a.m. then this morning was awoken to an awful french horn player. I couldn't figure out what room it was coming from so I just put my headphones on and played some music attempting to go back to sleep however I only managed to make it till about 10:30 which don't get me wrong is late but its early when you are tired. I soon found out it was High School District Band day here. So I got up and skyped my mom so I could see Casen while he was over. He was in a great mood, laughing and smiling at me. He said Rachel,he was blowing kisses, playing pick a boo and talking to me. Made my morning so much better! Then Russ came up and got to see Casen too. After awhile he was done talking to me so I got off and got ready to go over and eat with my friends. Russ, Sean, Lauren and I walked over to Todd to eat. We waited in line for breakfast for awhile but when we got up there,there were no chocolate chip pancakes so I had to settle for regular ones. When we were walking back we went through the Union. Since Sean kept popping out the your mom jokes I told him I was going to call my mom and make him apologize. I called Ashley trying to freak him out but she didn't answer so I had him leave her a voice mail. She called me and played along and I had Sean believing he had talked to my mom but then told him after awhile who it really was. As we were leaving the Union we saw a bunch old yams and Sean was like wouldn't it be fun if we threw those at each other so Russ, Lauren M., and I picked up one and threw it at him, he didn't think it was so fun then. When we got back Russ and I went to Walmart and Family Video with Kaci. When we got back Katie's parents were here so I got to meet her dad because I had met her mom during Katie's birthday. After they left I caught up on my bible reading. Today it was Genesis 43-47. Then I took a nap. When I got up I vacuumed the floor then went to eat with my friends.Russ and Kaci went to dinner with Blake and Brett. When we got back from dinner, Liz, Nora,Morgan and I played Dance Dance Revolution after playing for a while we put it on expert and all took an arrow and played it, needless to say we cheated the system. Lauren M., came in and they we listened to some music until Brett, Kaci and Russ got back. When they walked in Tori was with them. We watched Vampires Suck which was alright. Then we decided to go downstairs again and play charades. My team was Brett, Morgan, Lauren, and Liz. The other team was Nora, Sean, Kaci, Tori, and Russ.We had so much fun. After playing we we walked outside and threw leaves at each other then went to the lobby. While chatting Sean was sticking the charade papers in his mouth and he ate Kevin G which we said was him every time someone drew the card. I got to talk to Elizabeth and Jacquelyn today which was great because I miss them so much! Now Katie and I are getting ready to go to bed so we aren't exhausted for church in the morning. 11:11 11/11/11

So obviously since it was all elevens today there was a lot of hype about it and making wishes and such but really there was something important about today that deserved more hype and that was Veteran's day. Its easy to think about today and then move on but those fighting for us and those that did think about it everyday. We owe them so much more then a thank you but most of the time thats all we can do so thank you Veterans for all you've done and are doing! Happy Friday as well people! Yesterday I said there were some things I was saving about yesterday until today. I started dating this guy named Jesse yesterday and he is a great guy. I didn't put it on here because I didn't want my to find out by blog before I actually told her so I called her this afternoon and told her. He actually asked me after midnight on Thursday and gave me a cd, it was really sweet. Today I got to sleep in late since I have class till 11 on Fridays. Joey and my Aunt Cindy were already here. I went to Foundations which we just watched a movie in then went to Ellis and ate with Joey and Cindy. There were so many people here for Criminal Justice day but I got to jump in line with them. After eating with them and my friends it was time for them to get back to their tour so I said goodbye then my friends and I left as well. When Jesse and I were walking back Mike and Katie gave us a hard time which I 100% deserved since I did it to them when they first started dating. I said goodbye to Jesse and then left for my 1pm class. Ideas and Visual Arts wasn't too bad. Then Katie and I ran to Walmart. Again we are awful to go together because we have to go down like every isle. When we got back I did some laundry. Then at 5:30 my friends and I went to eat. Some how when I was talking about talking to my mom on the phone today and Lauren and Sean came up with some story about my mom and cats. To avoid them I sat under the table for a minute lol. Then when we came back Russ, Morgan and Dalton watched Spongebob with me. I finally got my cartoon fix. Nora came in and we started singing backstreet boys songs but then she had to go back to dance. Kaci came over and we played Dance Dance Revolution and Just Dance 3. Russ attempted to play Bad Romance on expert level lol no he didnt succeed. Then both Laurens came in and we started talking. We were supposed to play charades at 10 but Sean wasn't finished with his project yet so we went to Taco Bell/ McDonalds. When we got back we went to Sean's room to play charades but ended up going to the lounge on first floor. It was Kaci, Morgan, Lauren M., and I on a team then Russ, Sean and Lauren B. on a team. My team pretty much dominated just saying. This is where my mom comes back into play because someone wrote it down on a slip of paper so every time someone would draw it out they would point on me then someone put your dad and then your parents and every time would point to me so needless to say there got to be a lot of jokes but mom if you read this its nothing bad and they know they all love you. So much laughing tonight and it was just a ton of fun. When Sean was like this is where the thugs hang out and russ was like south street but it was actually the hood bahaha. Then Katie got back and played on Sean's team.When it was over and we were leaving I was like talk about my mom one more time so I had to smack Lauren then I chased Sean up and down the stairs. He got his just deserts. It was epically awesome Friday like it was supposed to be. I am sad to report I didn't get my bible reading done which makes me sad but there was so many distractions today that I felt like I was selling God short if I tried to both so tomorrow I will take the time and read todays and tomorrows fully.For those of you who are keeping up though it was Genesis 38-42. Happy Veteran's Day everyone! Good night!It is no after 2 am and I am not so tired anymore which could be a bad thing.

Throwing leaves or grenades?

This week has went by pretty fast. Today has been an amazing Thursday I must say. Some details will be added tomorrow about my wonderful day today but for now here was Thursday. T and C was cancelled today so I got to sleep till 10. So I got up and got ready for class then. I went to gen psych and we went over our tests and were about to start the next section but someone was like we should wait till next class so the teacher was like ok if you can write down what you did or did not like about Freud then you can leave which was easy for me because I can't stand Freud's theories. We got to leave class about a half hour early :). SO then I came back to the room and watched Fairly Oddparents. Yes cartoons which I have missed by the way. Then went and ate lunch with my friends. Russ, Kaci and I ended up being in the dining hall for about an hour and a half talking about Grenades aka Bruno Mars song because Wednesday at DIG we crossed south street to get there and I was like ok guys lets band together then I was like Russ would you take a bullet for me and he was like I'd catch a grenade for you..and then Kaci was like Russ would you take a bullet for me and he was like I'd catch leaves for you then throw them at you bahaha. Katie and Dalton came and joined us after a while and I haven't laughed so hard in a while. After lunch Kaci and I went to Grinstead to work in the computer labs. When I got back to the room, I got some free books for my kindle and then talked to my momma on the phone. She was watching Casen and I really wanted to hear him say Rachel but he was in a stubborn mood so I didn't get to talk long. Maycee tried licking the phone however so I guess someone wanted to talk to me lol. I did my bible reading when I got off the phone to mom. Today it was Genesis 32-37. Then I went and ate supper with all my friends. After supper I was going to do Zumba so Jesse walked with me over to the Rec where I met Nora and Kaitlin to go to it. I told it Kaitlin Zumba wasn't that bad but tonight she made it a little more intense. It felt great but I am probably feel it in the morning. When I got back I called Ashley and talked to her for a little bit. Then Lauren M, Morgan, Katie and I talked for a while. It was nice to just a chat with the girls. Then the others came and we watched Napoleon Dynamite. When it was over everyone left and Jesse and I watched some That 70's show. Tomorrow is 11/11/11 so hopefully it is an epically awesome Friday :). Good night!

Patience is a Virtue

So tonight at DIG Brad was talking about blogging while he and his wife went on a 42 day bike ride from Virginia to Wyoming and the experience he had. I started thinking about my blog and the experience I have had so far. Yesterday I just posted my 100th blog so we have had almost 100 days of school since some days I have posted more then once. My first semester of college is almost over and just a few months ago I was stressing about even going to college. A lot of people have asked me if I am going to be blogging next year and right now I honestly don't know. I would love to be able to remember my experience of my other years of college but nothing is the same as your first year. When I first started this blog I intended on just blogging so I could remember my experience I never thought it would have over 1000 views and people would actually want to read about what is going on in my life which brings the saying back to my mind "you may be the only bible someone reads". When I post I want to make sure God's light is showing my life. My blog title tonight is patience is a virtue. I find myself struggling with this often because I want to get in such a hurry to do things and sometimes God just has to stop me and tell me to wait for his time. This morning I got up and went to my library class. My group finished working on our glogster of Lady Gaga. I felt the need to watch the glee Lady Gaga episode but did not get to yet. When I came back I read Ideas and Visual Arts and then started my bible reading for the day which is Genesis 27-31. I went to Foundations where we talked about internships. I definitely want to either intern with the SOMO office or at Hallmark. Then I went and ate lunch with my friends like usual. When I went to Ideas and Visual Arts. The teacher was in a much better mood today. After class I went to the gym. It was nice to get back and work out. When I was walking back I saw Kaci outside so I went over to chat with her then we saw Sean and he came over and started talking so the three of us went to my room and tried out Dance Dance Revolution. It was a lot of fun. When they left after talking a shower so I could straighten my hair, I skyped with Ashley. She got to talked with Sean M., and Dalton before Dalton and I finally left to go eat supper with the others. After dinner I finished my bible reading then Russ, Lauren B., Kaci, Jesse and I walked over to DIG. Next week is vision week and they are doing a whole bunch of stuff. I am pretty sure that for fasting I am going to fast Facebook for four days since Vision week goes from Monday to Thursday. It will be hard but they said to fast whatever takes up a lot of your time and I will if I give up facebook then I will have more time to focus on God but I will still continue to blog every night, it just wont be posted to Facebook. After DIG I came back and talked to my momma on the phone then watched White Chicks with Lauren M., Morgan, Russ, and Jesse. Well I am hopefully headed to bed soon. Good night!

Sleepy Hollow Fog

So kind of a  crazy Tuesday for me because I had a presentation and a psychology test but I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. I went to Freshman Seminar ready to give my presentation but she had us go in order that we were on the board and I was last. When it was finally my turn I said my speech and hardly had to look at my card, the only problem was I was a little under time but I got an A on it so I was happy. Everyone went with in 30 minutes so she let us leave early. I went back to my room and studied more for psychology. At 11 I went and took the test, ready to get it over. It took about 15 minutes and I was done. It was extremely foggy out today. My freshman seminar teacher told us to try and take some pictures in the fog and since I got out of psych early, I went outside and took some pictures. When I got done I listened to some music. I probably could have been way more productive then I was but its ok I got to relax. I went and ate lunch with my friends. Lauren B. gave me a birthday present, dark chocolate reeses and jolly rangers!Yum!Then I went to my small group at 1. We had a really good discussion today and it kind of gave us a reality check on how we are all sinners. Thank goodness for God's amazing grace. When I got back to my room I listened to the new Glee christmas album and looked through some pictures then Katie and I watched some FRIENDS. Jauan always walks into our room when we are watching it and he always asks us if thats the only thing we watch. At 4 we both took a nap and for some reason we left the door half way open which could have given anyone the opportunity to hack us on facebook or pull a prank. Not going to happen again. At 6 my friends and I went to Todd and ate. Kaitlin said that the fog reminded her of Sleepy Hollow. After supper Kaci, Lauren M.,Morgan, Russ, Kaitlin and I watched Glee. Then Russ had to leave but Jesse came in and watched New Girl with us. After it was over a bunch of us played Just Dance 3. Then we decided to watch Charlie St. Cloud. It was really good. Now everyone is gone but Jesse is still hanging in here throwing balloons at me lol. O I almost forgot I got a birthday card from Mrs. Morrow and Mrs. Cottrell today, miss them so much!It was a wonderful Tuesday!

It's Monday!You know what that means only 2 weeks left till Thanksgiving break!This morning I actually wasn't to bummed about going to my library class. After it was over I came back to my room and started to look over my psychology notes but soon ended up putting pictures on facebook. At 11 I went to Foundations. We talked about being a photographer's assistant. Then I went and ate lunch with my friends. Kaci had sent me a picture yesterday of a wrapped present which I got to open after lunch :). It was Dance Dance Revolution for the Wii from the Tades!I loved it and I can't wait to play. That was so kind of them! I went to Ideas and Visual Arts at 1. The teacher was not in a great mood today so we got a pop quiz or pop 3 questions. Yippee..not.I came back to the room and ate some birthday cake then got started on studying for psychology. I practiced my presentation for Freshman Seminar tomorrow a few times. Then fell asleep. It wasn't very long before Sean, Russ and Jesse came in wanting to go to supper so we went and ate. Since the door between UCC and Hudson hall is now locked, we have to go out the UCC door to go to class. Russ took us through what he through was a short cut in the ozark room and outside. It was raining jsyk. It was muddy and actually longer outside. Needless to say we didn't stay dry. The rest of the friends joined us for dinner. Then a few of us decided we want to play in the rain so we got a kickball and a soccer ball and Lauren M.,Sean, Trevor, Jesse, Morgan and I played in the rain. Sean went to kick the ball and fell on me. If I hadn't been paying attention, I would of fallen on the ground. We took turns being the goalie and everyone kicking the balls at the goal, then we played some intense four square lol. After a while I came in so I could study some more and get my reading for small group done. Jesse gave me a mixed cd for my birthday so I listened to it while I studied. When the others got in from outside they decided to make a trip to Sonic so I had them get me a slush. When they got back we watched Fun with Dick and Jane in my room. Sean M.,Nora, Molly and Russ also watched the movie with us. My Grandma called to make sure I had a good birthday. After the movie the others threw balloons at each other while I studied then I kicked them out so I really could. It was a really good Monday. Todays bible reading is Genesis 16-21. I am going to go read it right now. Until tomorrow!

The End of Birthday Weekend

So we got to "fall back" an hour last night. The extra hour of sleep was nice. I woke up this morning to not a dog but a cat on my bed. Scout had got to come inside was laying on my bed. I got up and got ready for church then packed up some of my stuff. We went to church. I held Tinley through most of church. After church we had lunch at Grandmas. Almost the whole family was there. It was so nice to just be around everyone and visit with them. Most of my family, I haven't got to see since August. Family get togethers are the best because there is so much food. My aunt even made me her famous noodles that we usually only eat on Thanksgiving. When I was down with my ACL injury my junior year, all I wanted to eat right after the surgery was her noodles. Casen was pretty quiet at first but when we went outside to look at the tractor he was very happy. I threw some leaves on Jon and Casen thought that was funny so he attempted to throw some leaves at Jon. I got to see Jess, Zack and Zoe. After seeing everyone we left so I could attempt to get a small nap in before I had to leave but we didn't get home till about 2:45 and I had told Kaitlin I would pick her up around 3 so needless to say I didn't get to take a nap. For some reason today I was really emotional and cried when I had to leave everyone. Today was the hardest day to leave home but we only have 2 weeks before we are on fall break for a whole week so it will go quick. I picked Kaitlin up and we came back to the burg. The trip went pretty smooth. After dropping Kaitlin off at her dorm I brought all my stuff to my room and unpacked. Katie and I went downstairs and watched Water for Elephants in Mike's room with Russ, Carrie, Sean, Lauren M., Jesse and Morgan. It was good, not as good as the book though. Of course like most movies with a book, they changed some parts. Everything was pretty close until almost the end and then it was a lot different. When it was over, I came back upstairs and did my bible reading. Today was Job 40-42 and Genesis 12-15. Then I ate some birthday cake and am watching FRIENDS. It's been a fantastic birthday weekend! It's going to be a busy week. Joey is coming to visit here Friday which is exciting. Well good night!

19!

So today was my birthday!woot woot!19 sounds so weird to say. This morning I awoke to puppy kisses.. Maycee was more than excited for me to start the day. My momma made me some pancakes I got ready for the day. She and I left and went to the Christmas Bazaar. I got to talk to Bre for a little bit. I also saw Anthony,Jessica, Kaitlin S., Kaitlin C.,Kwolf, Kea and Steven. Kara had Kensington with her and she is getting so big. She and Casen just need to stop growing while I am away. When we got done we left and headed to Kirksville, to go watch the athletes compete in the Northeast Area bowling tournament. I was so glad to see everyone again because I missed my Schuyler County crew. We cheered for them all and they did great. All the Schuyler athletes left with a medal. I also got see Jared and talk to him and Dan for a bit. Tammy had a Are You? shirt on .Now I am really excited for the December meeting so I get mine because I love them. After the athletes got their medals Mom and I went to Wal-Mart. I got to see my Preschool teacher Colleen who probably hasn't seen me in over 10 years. It took her a minute to realize who I was. When we got home Mom fixed me some of Reta's famous taco soup. Then I did my bible reading for the day which was Job 35-39. I went to Ashley's house to ride with her to Kirksville so we could eat at China Palace with Elizabeth. Jac wasn't able to come last I knew but she suprised me by being able to come so I got to eat dinner with 4 of my best friends. Love those girls! When I got home, I made sure everything was ready for guests but a bunch of people bailed so it ended up being only Brett, Ashley and I. We played some Just Dance 3 that I got for my birthday and ate some cake. Brett gave me his gift which was a leaf, a ping pong ball, a fishing weight, a box that had a packet of mustard with 10 dollars underneath.Hehe it was pretty great except the mustard. Ashley tied Brett up with the duck tape off the box. I dumped the mustard out of the box without touching it so the joke was on him lol. We played some more Just Dance and Joey came over. He and Brett played Wii sports. Ashley left then Joey so it was just Brett and I. Brett made a mii then he was playing with Katie and Russ's miis.I made a video and sent it to them because it was pretty funny. Them Brett and I talked for a while and made some jokes. We were fighting over this squishy bowling ball and he was like I would hate to explain to the coach how I broke my ankle and I was like I can see the news now boy dies by a bowling ball for asking a girl to make him a sandwich.Then Brett was like the moral to the story tell the girl to make the sandwich next time. O only him. As he was leaving we were looking at my Dad's deer sheds on the wall and the turkey beards. Brett was like those are yours aren't they. I was like ya that one is from no shave november last year. I had a pretty great birthday! People say o if you have over 600 friends you obviously don't know them. I know everyone on my facebook friend list pretty well. I am so overwhelmed with the amount of people who told me happy birthday on there and I hope I told them all thanks. I'm sure I missed some detail about today. P.s. the mustard from Brett is being regifted to him in March, he thanks I won't remember but I told him I will leave myself a blog reminder :P. Bypass

YAY its finally Friday!That means going home! So I asked Katie to wake me so I could say goodbye to her before she left for class. I don't know how many pokes it took her to get me awake but I honestly don't know how she got me up. After saying goodbye I was going to go back to sleep but I got up and got my stuff rounded together to go home.Kaci got done with class early but Kaitlin wasn't going to be ready until 9. Kaci and I loaded our stuff in my car then drove over and picked up Kaitlin then were off. I was so glad to have them riding with me because its a lot harder to stay awake when you are by yourself. After dropping Kaci and Kaitlin off, I made it home about 1:15. We drove on the Kirksville bypass for the first time (tonights blog title). It did save alot of time, taking about 5 minutes instead of 20. I can see why people say its dangerous when you have people going 60 then those who pull onto the bypass in front of them going 35. When I got home I was greeted by Maycee-my brother's dog. She had to sniff me and my car to make sure that it was actually me. I went outside and saw all my cats. Cocoa has gotten so much fur and bigger which is amazing since we didn't think she was going to make it the week after we got her this summer. When I was younger I used to watch the Amanda show and Little Bear. Both were on this afternoon so I picked Little Bear. Maycee and I watched it.  Mom got to come home early so we headed to Ottumwa to shop. I have missed shopping so much! We got to talk a bunch and it was just a great time. I picked out a few of my birthday presents. After shopping we headed home. We got this cd from the Christian book store called You are my King. It's amazing!!!It's a collection of several songs from different artists but it is like all my favorites from how he loves to happy day! When we got home I got to see my dad, we gave Maycee her new toy which was a squeaky stick. She went ballistic with it. Then I did my reading for day 6 which was Job 29-34. I am going to go to bed now because I have a full day tomorrow and its a pretty special day as well :). Good night!

the humphreys name is elephant

Thursday which means tomorrow is Friday and I am going home! Supposedly it snowed in the middle of the night but I dont believe it. Knowing that today was Thursday was enough to make it through T and C and Psychology. I got up and went to T and C. Mr. Mitchell started from the bottom of the alphabet in critiquing so by the time he got to mine to was pretty quick and he didn't really have anything negative to say. Then I went to Psychology. We reviewed for our test and covered the rest of the chapter which wasn't awful. After class, I went and ate lunch with my friends. I came back to my dorm and played the Sims for a while then did my bible reading for day 4. Today it was Job 21-28. Then I took a nap which was great! Before supper Katie went downstairs to Mike's room while I was still playing Sims. I went down to meet her but when I walked in she pushed me out. Now the last day and a half, I have suspected something was going on because she and a few of the others went to Wal-Mart yesterday without asking me if I needed anything then Katie asked for several peoples numbers without saying anything else. We went and ate supper at Todd with the rest of our friends. I had my interview about being from a small town at 7 so Kaitlin and I killed time chatting. When the girl showed up, I answered all her questions which were pretty interesting and awkward too but I answered them the best I could. I made $5 so I was fine with it. After the interview I ran into Kirstin so she and I rode back to UCC with Kaitlin. When we got back, Kaitlin told me my door was locked and I found out it wasn't, I walked in and every shouted surprise and threw balloons at me. To find my present I had to throw balloons up at the ceiling and see if a present flew out when they popped. I managed to find them without popping all fifty balloons in my room. There was an elephant, a tootsie roll, a bar of peppermint chocolate,and a container of bath salt. Hats off to which ever one of you got those stuffed in balloons. Then we enjoyed cupcakes. After hanging out for a little bit, we decided to put a movie in so Russ, Katie, Chris, Jesse and I watched Anastasia!I used to love that movie as a kid. When we were trying to decide a name for the elephant Morgan said the humphreys name is elephant and then realized she meant to say the elephants name is humphreys. Well I have been so blessed on this Thursday. Thank you Katie, Nora,Morgan, Kaci, Kirstin, Kaitlin, Sean,Russ,Mike,Chris, Dalton,Jauan,Lauren, Jesse, and Christian for a great birthday! 70+snow=interesting

Today is Wednesday yay which means its one day closer to Friday! This morning I still had my 9 am class but that didn't stop me from being in an amazing mood. Class went pretty quick and it was a lot warmer outside then it was supposed to so I got wear shorts and flip flops on November 2. I came back to my room after class and finished my Ideas and Visual Arts and then watched some t.v. Then I went to Foundations. It's weird I used to dread that class but now I love it because Mr. Mitchell makes us laugh a lot and we don't use or book anymore so its interesting to see what the class period will bring. After class, I went and ate lunch with the friends. At 1 I went to Ideas and Visual Arts. I gave my presentation and it went pretty good. We talked about the Guerilla Girls which is a feminist art group of women and it was actually pretty cool. I came back to my room and listened to some Christmas music and painted my nails. I did my reading for day 4 which was Job 13-20. Job is a very intriguing person. Then I layed on my bed and watched some t.v. Sean came in for a few minutes but then he and Katie were off to Wal-Mart. At 6 we went and ate supper. It started raining before supper and it cooled down fast. When I got back from dinner, I started playing the Sims 2 since I actually had time to. I made Mike and Katie on there hehe. Then the Laurens,Sean,Jesse, and Russ got in Sean's car and went to DIG. It was fun getting there with it raining so hard. Sean dropped us off near the door and we sprinted in. DIG was especially good tonight. God got to work in our lives a bunch tonight. After DIG we came back and I played the Sims 2 some more. Now I am watching FRIENDS. So it was actually nice out today until it started raining. There is a chance of snow tonight and tomorrow but I am not sure how because it is to warm. Well until tomorrow!

No shave November

November 1, that means only 4 more days till something great happens, if you know me very well, you know what it is. This morning I woke up and went to Freshman Seminar. We critiqued our photos from our themed assignment and voted on our favorite. Mine got 2 votes which doesn't seem like much but when there is only 1 other photo that received votes, it made me feel really good. After class I came back to the room and did my reading for day 3 which was Job 6-13. Then I went to Psychology. It was boring like usual but I tried to go into class with a better attitude. After class I ate lunch with my friends. Then I went to small group. None of the others showed up today so it was just Kirstin and I. We decided to talk about the chapter next week and just chat and sing songs. Then when it was time for Kirstin to go to her voice lesson I walked back to my dorm and Katie and I left to go to the Daum Contemporary Art Museum in Sedalia. We went to Sonic before we left the 'burg. Somehow Katie's car had a ghost made out of bananas on the hood and she keeps accusing me. I told if her if she keeps accusing me, I really am going to put a banana on her car. We got to Sedalia and toured the huge museum lol not. It's pretty small but still cool. They had this purple sculpture made completely from blown class. Katie thought that was the grade they received on the work in class. I told her no it was the size. After looking around, we came back. I did some laundry while talking to my momma. Im kind of sad that its only Tuesday because I really want to go home and see my family. After finishing my laundry, I went to supper with my friends.Lauren M., Morgan, Russ, Kaitlin and I watched Glee which was good. Then we watched New Girl also good. We decided to make a trip to Family Video. I see why everyone is getting addicted because its cheaper then Hastings and it has a lot of older movies which is awesome. We ended up getting Fred Claus, I'll be home for Christmas, and the great mouse detective. When we got back we watched Fred Claus. Lauren B. came over and we got to talk for a little bit. Fred Claus was pretty good. I think Christmas is here now, the movies, commercials on t.v.,theres no stopping it. Well I am going to go to bed so good night!O I about forgot to explain my blog title. Today started no shave November lol, I don't know how it got started. So this is kind of gross to some people but Russ and I are in a competition he isn't going to shave his face and I am not shaving my legs. The person who shaves first is the loser. So ya, its kind of silly but its funny.well anyway laters!
