This is bounty soft

Happy finals week and may the odds be ever in your favor! Down to the last week at UCM for my freshman year. The first sentence was a popular among teachers and students today. For anyone who has read the hunger games or seen the movie, they understand this phrase. Since I didn't have a final until 11, I got to sleep in until 10 and it was great! I got up and went to Studio to take my final. It was like the midterm plus like 20 more questions so it wasn't to bad. He did post the grades already and I got an A on it :). I went to the Union so I could get a writing book for Race,Class and Gender. Kaitlin happened to be there at the same time so she offered to buy me a smoothie. What a great roommate! It was a nice pick me up after the final. We went and ate lunch with Russ and Megan after because everyone else was doing something else. Kaci and Derrick came after a while. Derrick came back and hung out with me until our finals at 2. Spongebob was on t.v. At 2 p..m. it was time for the dreaded Race, Class, Gender final and it was awful. It wasn't hard, it was just that it took so long. She gave us a test and then we had to write 3 essays that were 2 pages each. It took the entire 2 hours we were given and my hand heart so much after. I don't know how she expected the third essay to be legible after the first 2. The test took all my energy so I just came back to my room and watched Spongebob for awhile. I started studying for P.R. Then I went and ate dinner with my friends. Sean and Lauren got some ice cream as we were leaving. When Sean was eating his, he was like this is bounty soft. He said that he almost could sleep on it because it was soft like a pillow lol. After dinner, Derrick watched the Miami game in my room while I studied for P.R. some more. Miami did win again. Katie came over and we watched We Bought a Zoo. It was really good. Dalton came in and watched it for a little bit. After it was over he and Katie left. Derrick watched Friends for a little bit with me and then he left since we both have 11 a.m. finals tomorrow. I will feel so much relief when my P.R. one is down with tomorrow because then I will just be left with Ecology on Thursday. Our other cat at home had 5 kittens today, all little gray ones. In one week 2 cats have had 10 kittens. This means that we have a total of 14 cats at our house now including Ben and Scout. I don't even remember that last time we had that many cats. I can't wait to see them on Thursday. This is weird for me not to be not be there when the cats have been pregnant. Well I am off to bed, good night!

When it rains, it pours

Today was the time going to Northside until we get back in August. Katie, Russ, Derrick and I all got up and went to church this morning. Kaci worked in the nursery. Sid preached a really good sermon this morning about being like Daniel. We sang Stronger, Forever Reign, and Mighty to Save <3. When church got over it was raining so Derrick let me wear his jacket so I could stay drier :). When we got back, Katie dropped us off outside of Ellis so we didn't have far to go in the rain. I unfortunately spent the whole afternoon studying for 2 finals tomorrow. It was hard to stay awake so I am pretty sure I fell asleep for like 20 minutes. Friends played in the background all afternoon while I studied. I went and ate with my friends at 6 like usual. Dinner didn't last very long since it was just me, Lauren and Katie. After dinner, I went upstairs to Kaci's room. She and the guys were playing Super Smash Bros. Then we watched Columbiana. It was not to bad. It's been storming all day and the power even went off for a second twice at Ellis. After the movie, Derrick came back over to my room with me. Kaitlin was back from work. We watched the rest of Something Borrowed with her. Then we watched the last bit of Wolverine that was on t.v. Iron Man just came on a little bit ago which is going to make it hard to go to sleep but at least my final isn't until 11 tomorrow. I do get to sleep in this whole week until Thursday which is nice. Tonight's blog title is because I am pretty sure this whole week's worth of rain that we were supposed to get, all built up to today and now isn't going to stop for a couple days. Yesterday Derrick teased me all day, now today I have been teasing him all day. Maybe tomorrow will be a happy medium lol. I am off to go to sleep and get ready to begin my last week in the burg before summer.Good night!

Prego my Ego

So I am pretty sure I had one of the best Saturdays anyone could have asked for. This morning Nora and I went to Sedalia and volunteered at the animal shelter. The dogs and cats were still just as cute as last time and I had to resist not bring any of them back with me. Even though we did wash the litter boxes, it wasn't awful because we talked the whole time. After I dropped Nora back at Yaeter because she didn't want to go to the bbq, I headed to CCH and got the directions. Then I went to the bbq. I hung out with all the amazing CCH people and then Lauren and I left. I had to get back because Mom, Dad, Zack and Zoe were on their way here. I went and met them when they got here. Then they hung out in my room for a bit. Derrick came over so they could meet him and according to Zoe, he passed the test so I am glad.Unfortunately they couldn't stay all day so we got carpet out from under all the furniture then carried it and some of my stuff to the car. I was sad to see them leave after a couple of hours but am really glad they got to come down for the day. Kaci and Russ were watching Transformers so I went over to her room and watched the last half with them. Derrick came and watched it at halftime of the Miami game. When the movie was over, we turned it to the basketball game. Miami won by alot and it was actually a pretty good basketball game. We all went ate at 6 with the rest of my friends. After dinner, we came back up to Kaci's room and she, Russ and Justin played Super Smash Bros. Then we went to UCC and James and Kaitlin came and played Telestrations with us. Derrick got to experience the hilariousness of the game for the first time. Tonight's blog title is from James thinking Justin's picture of Kaitlin's word was pregant and so he just wrote prego my ego which turned into a waffle in the end. I think one of the best ones was Derrick's when he had on top of the world which turned into abraham lincoln rules the world to lincoln assassination. Derrick and I went on a walk after we got done playing the game. We had an amazing talk and got to enjoy our last Saturday at the burg. Now I am off to bed soon so that I am not tired for church in the morning. Good night!

Last Friday Night

Happy Friday and my last Friday before summer because I get to go home next Thursday! This morning Derrick walked me to my last Studio class and I survived my last critique.I am finished with classes now I just have finals to deal with. When I was coming back to the room, I saw Dan in the hallway and found out that some people got stuck in the elevator. It broke down yesterday which is scary because it happened not long after I had taken and I was hoping it didn't while I was in it because I didn't have my phone on me. They got it fixed though. I vacuumed the floor and cleaned up a little bit but besides that I was mostly unproductive because it was cloudy and gray outside which doesn't encourage me to do anything. Kaitlin and I went and ate lunch with everyone. Derrick and I hung out in my room after lunch. We watched Cars and then we had to go to his class. Kaitlin and I were going to go swimming but didn't end up doing it so I used the time to get my paper almost done and then I had a conference call with some of the other YACers to discuss Victory Village. It is going to be really cool and everyone came up with some great ideas. After the call was done, I went ate dinner with my friends and Derrick. We ate at Derrick and Kaci's usual time so that we could go see the second Sherlock Holmes in the union cinema. The cinema seats are so comfortable. They are recliners and they also have cup holders and an optional table. It was hard to stay awake through some of the movie but I thought it was really good, probably better than the first one. Derrick and I came back to the room after and watched the rest of Pirates of the Caribbean 2 on abc family. I called and talked to Mom,Zack, and Zoe for a little bit. I am so excited for them and Dad to come visit tomorrow. I had a pretty great day with my friends and my boyfriend :). Well I am off to bed and I am actually going to make it before midnight. I will survive

It is almost Friday!One week from today I will be back at home which makes me excited but sad at the same time. I am just ready for classes to be done. This morning Kaitlin and I went and ate breakfast and then I went to my last Ecology class before the final! I was so tired so it was hard to stay awake through the movie. She let us out of class 20 minutes early so I went and sat on a bench outside,basking in the sun and enjoying all the butterflies on campus until P.R. I turned in my final release for P.R. today and I am so glad to be done with that class as well. I am not looking to that final either however. I went and ate lunch with my friends and Derrick. I came back and did some laundry.Derrick came over and watched Killers with me. I went and met Kaci,Justin, James and Lauren B. to go do my studio assignment. Nora came and helped as soon as her class was over. After I was worried about not having enough people I had ended having plenty because Lauren M. and Katie ended offering to help as well. Kaci and I walked back to my room. I tried to have a conference call at 4 but it didn't work out. Kaci and I watched some of Paul Blart until she left to go to dinner so I went the lab to post my final studio assignment. Then I walked with Justin and James to meet the others for dinner. Since I was giving Katie a hard time,she jumped on my back and I ended up carrying her all the way to the union. My friends and I went to the comedian at Fun before Finals. She was really good at impersonations especially her Wanda Sykes one. When it was over we ate some food there, created our own pixie sticks, and got a free martini class that changes colors. Nora,Liz, Morgan and I danced for awhile. Then I left with Kaitlin and Megan to come back over. Kaci and Russ want to go see Sherlock Holmes 2 in the Union Cinema tomorrow so Derrick thought it was a necessity that I see the first before so we watched it. Tonight's blog title is pretty self explanatory. Through all the end of the year stuff, we just have to remember it will be over soon. Well I am off to bed, good night!

One Month :)

So today it has been one month since I have started dating Derrick and I thank God for the great month has been :). This morning I got up and went to Studio. One more critique is all we have left besides our final. It being the last week of classes Katie had to much to do so we didn't work out which was fine by me because I got a lot accomplished then. I read the rest of Captivating for small group. Great book and I recommend it to any girl!I finished my press release and talked to my mother. Then I went and ate lunch with my friends. I came back to my room after lunch and finished reading the bible in 178 days. I am so glad I decided to do it! My friend, Chris called and talked to me for a minute which he told me that he had been in the hospital for a blood clot in his leg so if you guys could be praying for him. Derrick walked me to Race,Class, and Gender. We finished Crash. It's a great movie but kind of depressing. I went to small group after. It was our last one :(. We had a good talk. It was just Kaci,Kirstin and I so we really got to talk about things. I feel like we have come a long way this semester in our journey with Christ. I was going to come back and take a nap before dinner but just ended watching Friends until time to go eat dinner with my friends. We went ate at our normal time. I left early so that I could go to Expo. It was awards night. I didn't win but it doesn't bother me because everyone's photos were amazing and I seriously don't know how anyone could judge them. When it was over, I went and met Derrick to walk over to DIG. After DIG, Derrick and I went on a movie date to see 21 Jump Street. There was like no one else at the movie theater but I can't imagine why at 9:30 at night on a Wednesday. It was pretty good for the most part. I could of done without a couple scenes and some of the language but besides that it was good. It was nice getting to spend the evening with my boyfriend, celebrating our one month anniversary :). I am going to go to bed pretty soon since it is almost one.Good night!

When you're smiling the whole world smiles too

This being the last day of classes, I decided that I should probably be a good kid and not skip Ecology as boring as it may be. After Ecology, I went to P.R. which was just about as boring. After class I went and ate lunch with Derrick and my friends. Then he and I came back to my room and watched Friends till I need to leave to go work in the photo lab. At 2 I went to my very last Editorial class of the year. We all showed our Sports or Event presentation. I played Ice Ice Baby in the background of my polar plunge powerpoint. The class thought it was pretty humorous. He let us out like 45 minutes early but I went and out my studio assignment on the server. It feels so good to be able to cross Forum and Editorial off my list left to worry about and I am pretty much just getting down to finals to worry about. When I got back to the room Kaitlin and Megan had the beds moved and so I helped them take the bed off the loft and take it apart. Our room looks weird now with our beds both on the floor. I cut out my letters for my studio project. Then Kaitlin, Megan, and I went to dinner with the rest of our friends. After dinner, it was glee time. Kaci, Kaitlin, Megan, Lauren, Russ, Sean, Morgan and I watched Glee and it was a good episode tonight. They did a Whitney Houston tribute. I called mom after and talked to her some. Tori had her kittens today and she had 5 little black and tigered ones. I can't believe she didn't have any orange or siamese ones but now I really wish I was home to see them. They will have their eyes open before I get to see them. Derrick came over and hung out with us. Everyone left after a bit and he and I went on a walk. It was gorgeous night for one because it was not to hot or to cold. There were so many people out tonight. It was nice that the sky wasn't cloudy so we could see the stars.Derrick had some interesting analogies about mu and ku fans which needless to say I haven't believed yet lol.  After blogging I am going to read my bible and then go to bed. All I have left to read is Revelations which is crazy to think about.Please be praying everyone for the same return of my friend Bryan who is a Kansas City Special Olympics Athlete. He ran away from home last week and they are just now telling everyone about it so I pray he comes home soon. Also be praying for Mikel Jones, still in the hospital and he just needs God's healing asap. It looks like a Hitler thing

Happy Monday!Only one more left of my Freshman year of college :). Apparently the hot water heater is broke in UCC so I got a cold shower this morning.You would think that would put me in bad mood but it didn't. Derrick walked me to Studio where we reviewed for our final next week. I came back after class and was actually productive. I got an extra credit assignment done for Ecology, typed up my resume for Forum. I cleaned up my flash drive and then went to lunch with Kaitlin and with our friends and Derrick. After lunch Derrick came over and hung out with me until our 2p.m. classes. Race,Class and Gender was actually interesting today because we watched Crash. It wasn't a boring movie like most teachers show, it was like an actual hollywood movie. So far it is really good and even has my favorite actress, Sandra Bullock in it. I went and worked in the photo lab until Forum. Since today was the last class, we watched the Senior shows. She brought us soda and cookies so it was great. I went and ate dinner with my friends. Then I walked with Katie to the library and got to have a good chat with her. Even though we see each other alot, it has been a couple weeks since we have actually gotten to have a full conversation. They finally got all the Expo prints hung up. I feel better about how mine look after they are on the wall. I honestly don't know how anyone could pick a winner because everyone has great photos. Justin, Nora, Kaci and her parents all went to Russ and Liz's symphonic band concert. It was a nice visit by Marty and Lou. Russ and Liz did a very good job. After it was over and we talked with Kaci's parents for awhile they headed home. Derrick came over and he, Megan, Kaitlin and I watched Captain America. Dalton came in about half way through. We were all so kind to each other during the movie making jokes. The movie takes place during World War 2 and whenever all the soldiers were lined up, Dalton was like it looks like a Hitler thing. We were like that's because it's Hitler's army Dalton. I was asking Kaitlin about a picture in Draw Something that had five spaces and she was like it could be snail, snail has four letters and caught herself as soon as she said it. Today was a klutzy day for me as I tripped on the steps like 3 times. I won't have any bruises on my legs tomorrow but maybe my hands because I caught myself before I fell. Thank goodness no one was around so I could make it look like nothing happened. Maybe one of these days I will learn how to walk again. Well it was a pretty great Monday and I look forward to an even better week. Thank you God for everything! There is no question tonight. I am off to bed now so good night!

Popcorn chicken goodness

I can't believe the weekend is over already but I couldn't have asked for a better one. Everyone was gone,sleeping or doing something this morning so ended up being only Derrick and I going to church. Justin played drums and we sang a bunch of great songs including Hosanna and I will Boast. The minister had a good sermon as well. Justin needed to go to Walmart after so we made a quick run then came back and ate lunch. Mom called me as I was coming from lunch so I got to talk to her for a bit. I am so excited for her to come visit on Saturday. Derrick came over and he and I watched Iron Man. It is definitely one of the better Marvel movies. Mike and his mom stopped by on their way back from Kansas City so we got to catch up with him some. He is going to basic training in the air force on June 19th. Derrick and I decided to get Sonic for dinner as a four week anniversary date. Popcorn chicken and my traditional strawberry-watermelon slush= so much better than dining hall food. We came back to my room and ate our food while watching Bedtime Stories. Kaitlin got back from work and we watched Iron Man 2. I think I have crossed all of Derrick's required Marvel movies off of the list so that I will be ready to see the Avengers when it comes out May 4th. It was great getting to spend all day with Derrick. I only have 5 days of bible reading left which doesn't seem possible. Tonight's question is what are your favorite video games? Well I of course love my Just Dance games,anything crash bandicoot especially Crash Team Racing, and Mario Party but for the Nintendo 64 not the wii lol. Those are the main ones but there are many more that I like to play. Well I am off to bed, good night!

The Sun is on Your Nose

This morning I got up and drove to Columbia for Special Olympics day at Mizzou. The athletes got to spend time all morning playing games like kickball and hillbilly golf with the Mizzou athletes. We got a free Are You shirt in Mizzou colors which was great. The gave out snow cones free as well which would usually be great but when its a little cold out, a cold drink isn't exactly first on your mind which didn't stop me from getting a blue one though lol. I got to see so many of my SOMO friends even some that I have seen in over a year and spend the day with YAC. They provided lunch so we ate and then had our meeting. Shaffer gave us materials to make signs for the baseball game. Mine said YAC loves SOMO :). Then it was time for the baseball game to start. Since the stands were full of 75% Special Olympics people it was a great time cheering and letting the rest of the crowd know of our presence. Jennah's sign one sign of the game. Apparently it was 80's day because they kept playing music from that time period and some people were dressed like it. When they played Total Eclipse of the Heart, we face forward and then turned around and looked at Whitney when they said turn around in the song.It was pretty funny. The athletes always bring a smile to my face by the little things they say and do, just their unknowing compassion that they have on every single person. Mizzou was losing to kstate 3-0 in the 7th inning when we left to go look at the Victory Village sight. They ended up winning in extra innings 4-3 go figure. Those of us helping with Victory Village created like a mini caravan to the sight. We talked about what we were going to do and then I headed back to the burg. I didn't realize because the sun was hitting me all the time throughout the day, but I ended up with a nice sunburn on my face. Whoops. Kaitlin ended up getting back from work the same time as I was getting back. We went and ate dinner with Katie, her friend, Jennah, and Lauren. Derrick got back and came over and watched the rest of Paul Blart: Mall Cop with us until Megan came over. We watched Thor which wasn't to bad. Not the best of the Marvel movies but still good.The goal is to get the rest of the ones I haven't seen before the Avengers comes out. I am off to bed as soon as this over since I am so tired. There is no question tonight. Tonight's blog title is from Katie telling me I had sun on my nose and we were like I think you mean a sunburn. Then when we were leaving the dining hall, Kaitlin was like it smells and after I told her it always smells there, she told me it was me because the sun was burning my face.I had a really great Saturday! Chocolate pomegranites

Friday!Another great day even if it was a little cold out. Derrick and I went and ate breakfast at the dining hall then he walked me to Studio. In class we listened to another speaker interview for the open photography teaching position. After class I came back to my room and listen to music until Derrick came over. He left to go home for the night and I went to work in the Studio. After Dana and I got our assignments done, I came back to the room and made myself some mac and cheese and put Fame in. Kaitlin got back and then we went swimming after a while. The pool was great as always. Dana had a home track meet so we were hoping to get to watch him pole vault. We went and sat in the stands by the track thinking it would be at the mat but after waiting for like 20 minutes we decided to head over by the baseball field to see what was going on and found out that pole vaulting was over there. We missed Dalton go unfortunately but were able to watch the rest of the guys go. Mom called and talked to me as we were coming back. Since we thought the others were going for the night,Kaitlin, Megan and I went ate at 5. I came back and worked on my resume for Forum after dinner than Kaitlin and I went to the movies. We stopped at Walmart and got some snacks and then went and saw the Lucky One. It was really good! It is probably my favorite Zac Efron movie now. I wasn't quite cry worthy to me which I am glad that it wasn't. I ran into Dana while we were there. Kaitlin and I came back and are watching Man of the House now. I am going to try and not stay up to late since I have YAC all day in Columbia tomorrow. I definitely missed not having Derrick here all evening but got to spend some quality time with my roommate. Random fact of the day, I barely beat Derrick at Words with Friends hehe. Tonight's question is what are your favorite 90's shows? Definitely hey arnold,fraggle rock, sabrina the teenage witch, boy meets world, as told by ginger, and rugrats! I'm sure there are a lot more but I remember watching these the most. Tonight's blog title is from buying some at Walmart tonight for the movies and they are so addicting. I told Kaitlin I was going to eat the whole bag and not regret until tomorrow. I didn't however lol.Well good night!

Hypothermia can kill you

It's almost Friday! I have had a pretty great Thursday especially since I didn't go to any classes lol. I got to sleep in and then a girl from my Race,Class and Gender class and I went to Sedalia to volunteer at the Animal Shelter for our project. It was actually fun because we walked dogs for the time we were there. I actually was tired after we left because it felt like we played with a bunch of one year olds since the puppys were so energetic. The shelter is right next to a sewage plant so it was quite stinky walking the dogs. I feel bad for the people who work there and having to smell that everyday. The dogs were cute but its the cats that I wanted to take all of them home. They were so friendly. Kaitlin would have let me bring one back but I don't think the CA would have been to happy although I think with less than 2 weeks of school I could get away with it. We came back to the burg and then I went and ate lunch. Derrick, Kaci and Russ were nice enough to wait on me. I went over to Kaci's room and watched she and the guys play Smash Brothers. Luke had to leave so we played Mario Party. I would have won if they didn't give bonus stars at the end of the game in which case made Kaci win. Derrick would not let me forget that I tried to kill his character in the game and I made sure to bring up how he shot Princess Peach and froze her making her fall off the roof and then he shot her with a fire ball. Kaci told him hypothermia can kill.  Derrick and I came back to my room and hung out when we finished the game. I was actually able to convince him and Luke with the help of Kaci to go eat at Todd with my friends and I tonight. After dinner, he and I watched the Miami Heat game in my room. I can't say that I completely watched it but I did pay attention to it some. We watched some Friends after and then we said good night. Now I am going to go to bed maybe since Dalton is hanging out in here at the moment, we will see how soon that happens. Tonight's question is what nicknames do you have? You are more to me than I know how to say

I didn't realize how not good of sleep I was going until I found out what it was like to get to sleep through the nights again. I know that I complain about it alot but I am a person who requires at least 8 hours of sleep to function. This morning I got up and Derrick walked me to Studio. My stomach was hurting a little before class but I thought I was just hungry or something but it started hurting really bad. I came back to my room as soon as class was over and ended up staying in bed for the rest of the morning because my stomach was hurting so bad. Eating something didn't really help.I called mom to have her pray for me and I started feeling better after getting off the phone with her. I didn't go to the gym with Katie so that I didn't step backwards in getting better. It's nice to know that when I am not feeling well there are people willing to take care of me. Kaitlin even turned Friends on for me and Katie kept texting me constantly to try and figure out why my stomach was hurting. I went and ate lunch with my friends and Derrick. Then after Derrick came back to my room and hung out with me until class. He of course was worried about me and was trying to help me get better.I was able to get a small nap in before class.When I got up, I felt a lot better. We walked me to Race, Class and Gender. She let us leave 30 minutes early surprisingly. Since I didn't really eat much lunch, I came back to my room and made myself some Ramen noodles before small group. In small group we hung out on the quad the whole time and talked. Since it is service week, we are going to bring in some items to donate to the Survival House that protects abused women and children. After small group, I came back to my room and got my bible reading done before dinner. We went and ate dinner at Ellis like usual. Katie came back to my room and hung out with Megan,Kaitlin and I until CCH. Katie being her random self, was like "Guess what!Only 2 more weeks of having to deal with Kaitlin until I am your roommate again for a whole year".lol. Then Megan and Kaitlin tried to convince her that they put a new chemical in the pool that you can drink called ur-rine. Katie soon figured it out hahaha. We all went to DIG like usual. Jennah spoke tonight since Brad and Cailyn had their baby last week. Jennah did a good job. Tyler played Oh Happy Day so of course that made my night at CCH. After Katie got her stuff from our room, we walked her mostly back to the sorority house and then Derrick and I went on a walk. We sat in the football stands for like an hour talking and just enjoying the night-it was really great :). We walked back to the room and said good night now I am finishing this before bed. What started out as a sort of crappy day turned into a pretty great day. I owe it all to God because he makes everyday amazing. He healed me today and gave me a gorgeous day outside with some great people. The blog title is from the song,must of done something right because after singing it with Katie, I got it stuck in my head and I think it is pretty accurate for today. Tonight's question is what is your perfect summer day? Well assuming that this is a day by myself otherwise I would have a ton of perfect summer days with other people. I would sleep in until about 10, make myself some lunch and then spend the afternoon in the pool. Lay out on the swing while reading a book with the cats. Around 10p.m. or so get back in the pool and look at the stars. What's even cooler is during the 4th of july week when everyone is shooting off fireworks and you can sit in the pool and watch them go off. Well I am off to bed. Good night!

Nobody makes me bleed my own blood.

What a great Tuesday today has been! It started with getting sleep through the night with no interruptions from across the hall. I got up and went to Ecology and took my test. It took like 20 minutes and I got an A on it. I came back to my room and read for P.R. and finished my chapter of Captivating for the week. I went to P.R. at 11. He decided to take out the last press release and decided to work more on our third press release. He told us that our final was at 8 am so I looked at the schedule and it said that it was at 11 so when I told him, he told me that I had made his day and the rest of the class was pretty happy. I went and ate lunch with my friends and Derrick after. I need to print off my photo for Editorial so I went to lab after lunch. All the computers were full so when one opened up it was Mac. Colleen let me know it was open and I informed her that I didn't know how to use the Mac in there. She was like what a great day to learn then. Thank goodness a pc opened up. After getting my photo printed off, I went to Editorial. The picture of my grandma from church got a good critique from the class so I was able to breathe easier. I know that the only way you are supposed to get better is from constructive criticism but sometimes it is to much. For the last hour of Editorial,we should HDR video which was a lot of fun. My group worked on our blog for class and got it done so I was able to remove a load off of my to do list today. I went to Todd with my friends for supper. There was a table of people sitting near us and they were talking really loud. Out of nowhere these 2 basketball players got up and starting fighting and actually beating each other up. Everyone in the tables near them moved. A person who worked at Todd escorted them out and the cops came and talked them because they were outside when we left. Morgan and I watched Glee at 7. Kaci and Lauren came in about half way through. Derrick came over and hung out. The others left after New Girl was over. Then Derrick, Kaitlin and I watched Dodgeball. Tonight's blog title is a quote from that movie.When it was over, we made a late trip to Walmart. 11 is the time to go to Walmart because almost no one is there. No we are back and I am determined to be in bed by midnight which will happen as soon I finish this. Tonight's question is what is the thing you buy the most of when shopping? I am the lucky one

2 more Mondays after today!I hopefully have seen the last of my restless nights as Jauan and his friends were being loud at 1a.m. but they got in trouble and he has been quiet all day. This morning Derrick walked me to Studio. He gave his last lecture of the semester and then I came back to my room and started my laundry. I read some for P.R. and reviewed the power points for Ecology. I did my bible reading and Kaitlin got back from her dads. We went and lunch with the rest of our friends and my boyfriend. After lunch I folded my clothes and then Derrick came over to hang out with me until Race, Class, Gender. We went to our 2 p.m. classes. When class got over, I came back to my room until it was time for Forum since we actually met today for like the first time in a month. It's ok though because Hannah was the speaker and she didn't take very long. We had to take our course evaluations and then were free to go. I finished the rest of them in my room and then talked to Ashley for a while on the phone. I so wish I could go home and see her and Nick at Prom but I have YAC all day Saturday. She told me that Josh is a prom candidate which makes me so excited. If you don't know who Josh is, he is a kid at my high school that has down syndrome and he always runs to me and yells my name when he sees me. He would be so excited if he won.I went and ate dinner with my friends at our normal time. After dinner, Justin, Morgan, Lauren and I went on a walk. Justin wanted to get a movie from the library so I went to look at my expo prints but they weren't hung up. I called Lyndsi to ask her a question and she put Casen on the phone and she got him to say a few things. He said I love you and it was the cutest thing ever!Sean, Lauren and I were going to study but we decided to wait on Lauren B. She didn't want to come across campus (who could blame her in the dark) so she helped me finish my study guide over the phone and then I studied by myself in my room for a couple hours. When I finished, Derrick and I went on a walk around campus. We sat on a bench and talked for awhile and ended up running into Kaitlin and Megan on the way back. Harris, Jauan and Josh were walking behind us and they got in the elevator when we walked in to UCC. Kaitlin took it with them. I couldn't resist but to push all the floor buttons so they had to stop at each floor on the way up. Poor Kaitlin being stuck in an elevator with stinky boys just getting back from the gym. I said good night to Derrick and did a little reading for P.R. Now I am off to bed so I am not tired for the test tomorrow and looking forward to my peaceful night of sleep. My Lack of Star Wars Knowledge

So after the excitement of 6 cop cars outside UCC last night from breaking up a party across the street. Katie and David got back from her formal and Kaitlin and I could finally go to sleep. We got up this morning and went to church with Russ, Derrick and David. Kaitlin unfortunately had to work so she couldn't go with us. They had been doing so good at not singing great things at Northside but had to sing it today. The band made up for it by singing forever reign though. The pastor gave a really good sermon about us being like a tree and having to be taken care of like it as well. We came back to Ellis and ate after church then I had to start on my homework :(. I finished my press release for P.R. and filled out my Ecology study guide. I worked on my photo for Editorial and then did my bible reading. Kaitlin got back from work so we made a trip to Rue 21. I am really surprised that the burg put one in but I am not complaining since I love that store. Kaitlin dropped me off and then headed for her dads. Since I had all my homework done, a nap was a necessity. When I woke up, it was time for dinner. After supper, Kaci, Russ, Derrick, Justin and I came back to my room and watched Jumper. I had never seen it before and it was really good. Justin left and we watched the Prince of Persia which I had seen before but it was still just as good. Mom called me so I got to catch up with her. Hopefully, she and Dad will get to come down in a few weeks or I will get to meet up with them somewhere. After the movie, Russ and Kaci left so Derrick and I got to hang out and talk for awhile.Today we have been dating for 3 weeks and what a great 3 weeks they have been :). Now I am probably going to bed so I don't start off the week too tired. Tonight's question is what is a movie you could quote from end to end? 10 things you may not have known

I got almost 10 hours of sleep so I felt amazing when I woke up this morning. Katie and David brought their stuff over not long after I got up. Then I got ready and went and ate lunch with my friends and Derrick. After lunch, Derrick, Russ, Kaci and I made a trip to Wal-Mart then came back and watched the Dark Night. It was very good and for those of you who haven't seen it, it's a batman movie but I would definitely recommend it. We went and ate dinner after it was over. I ate at Kaci and Derrick's normal time because I had to do Katie's hair at 5:30. I told Justin and Morgan to come eat that time to since they were the only ones still here for the weekend. After we ate, Katie and David were back from Kansas City so I got to work on Katie's hair. It turned out pretty good. She had a lot of faith in me since I really hadn't ever done anyone else's hair besides my own. I braided it around the back and the curled it in a side ponytail. Katie and David did look really nice for Katie's formal. I acted like I was crying and was like my little Katie is all grown up. I went over to Kaci's room when they left and watched them finish their game of mario party. Then she, Justin, Russ and I played Just Dance. We even got Luke to play this is halloween. I won most of the songs :). The boys played Super Smash Bros when it was over. The Blind Side is on Abc family tomorrow but Russ, Kaci, Derrick and I decided to watch it tonight commercial free. It is still one of my favorite movies. Derrick walked me back to my room.Now I am going to finish my bible reading when I get this done. It's Friday! Today has been an awesome Friday! Since I didn't have my 9 a.m. class I got to sleep in some. However Katie and I go to the gym at 10 on Fridays so I got up and went and worked out. I was definitely sore from the pool yesterday so I felt good after today's work out. I went and ate lunch with my friends and Derrick at the normal time.Then Derrick and I hung out after until we left to go to the Daum Art Museum in Sedalia. The museum had about the same about of art in as the time Katie and I went. After going through it, we came back to the burg. Derrick let me control his ipod song selection on the way to and from so I of course had to play most of the Relient K songs. When we got back, he hung out with me until he went to dinner. I got a little bible reading done then went and ate dinner with my friends. After Russ, Justin, James and I went upstairs and played Marion Party in Kaci's room. I was so close to winning, just the darn bonus stars in the end that got me. If I would have had more coins than Justin then I would have won but thats ok we all had a good time play. Derrick, Justin, James and Russ played Super Smash Brothers after. When they finished we watched Batman Begins. I have never seen of the batman movies with Christian Bale so we choose to watch it so that we can watch Dark Night tomorrow and I will know what is going on. I was hoping Ashley and Nick were going to get to come visit tomorrow but with the storms expected her parents didn't want her on the road. I am going to finish today's bible reading and then go to bed. My weekend begins now

So I thought after having 2 work outs yesterday that I would be exhausted enough to sleep through the night...wrong. I was waking up constantly because I was worried I was going to sleep through my alarm to register for classes. When 7 finally rolled around, I was registering as quick as I could but I was to late, ASL was full. I did get the rest of the classes I wanted which was good. I went back to sleep until it was time to get up for Ecology. We watched a movie which at first looked like it was going to be about Titanic since thats what the preview mentioned but it was about animals so I got a little bummed. After class I paid off the rest of student bill and then went got a smoothie from Jazzman's before P.R. I got to class all ready to turn my press release in but he just handed us our old ones back and then cancelled class because he had a meeting. My day was made then because I got a good grade on my press release. Now I just need to get a good grade on the last 2 and I think I can actually survive the class after all. Since P.R. was cancelled that meant my weekend began at 10:30 this morning :).I ended up using the class time to go to the lab and print out my photos. I went and ate lunch with my friends and my boyfriend then came back to the lab to mount my images. Mounting images is one of the most stressful things a photographer will do well at least thats how I feel at this point in time. You have to make sure your images match up just right or you have to throw the whole thing away. I ended up having a little one on a couple of my images but tried my best to cut it off and turned them in for expo. On the bright side, because of the popcorn fund, my images were paid for and I got a 100 points extra credit for Forum. I came back to my room and watched X-Men with Derrick. I fell asleep for a little bit of the movie and like jerked awake. lol I have no idea why. At 4, Kaitlin, Megan and I went to the pool. There were hardly any people there so we were able to do laps and get a good work out in. I was definitely tired after that. We were hungry after so we went to Ellis to eat. After supper, Megan, Justin and I had a great hannah montana sing along. Derrick came over and hung out with us. Katie came over too.I must admit, I have a pretty great boyfriend who stuck it out and watched all of A Walk to Remember with us. He left to go watch his basketball game and Kaci and Kirstin came over so we could Enchanted April. We watched it because they talked about it in Captivating but it not a very good movie. It was hard to keep our attention. I am hoping to go bed soon but Sean and Dalton are in here so I don't know if that's going to happen unless I kick them out. Tonight's question is what is the worst injury you have ever had. That would definitely be tearing my acl and meniscus junior year.It was not fun being on crutches almost all year. Strawberry Cheesequake wins

It's Wednesday which means its almost Friday! 2 classes tomorrow separate me and my weekend since Studio was cancelled on Friday. This morning Derrick walked me to Studio. It did not end up being a very good day in photography for me because it was critique day and my photo was not great apparently. Then I went to the lab to print off my photos for expo and I could not get them to turn out how I wanted. At 11 Kaitlin, Katie and I went to the gym. After being on the bikes all semester, we finally switched back to running on the treadmill so I was quite tired when we got our mile done. We tortured Kaitlin with our full ab work out. After we got done working out, I ate lunch in my room and then hung out with Derrick until our 2 pm classes. Race, Class, Gender was boring like always. I went to small group after and we had a really good talk about being motherly and growing in relationships with our mothers. Speaking of mothers, some very wonderful mother of mine has a birthday today, HAPPY BIRTHDAY mom! After small group, Kaitlin and Megan wanted to go swimming so I went with them. There was almost no one at the pool which was awesome. We came back and ate dinner with the others. We went to DIG at 7:30 with Kaci, Derrick, and Kirstin. Daylen spoke tonight since Brad thought he was going to be at the hospital with Cailyn having her baby that was due last Saturday however their baby girl has not come yet. After CCH, Megan, Kaitlin, Derrick and I made a trip to DQ. Megan has now decided that she is going to be my taste consultant since she keeps making my decisions on what I should order when we go to fast food places. I ended up getting a strawberry cheesequake.When we got back, I skimmed over my reading for P.R. and then I did my bible reading. Derrick hung out in here. I don't have a question for tonight. Somebody snitched on me

So I decided to be a good kid and actually go to Ecology today. She ended up letting us out 45 minutes early and I got chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast so it was totally worth it. I stopped at the cage to get mount board for my Expo images and then came back to the room until P.R. at 11. I didn't have anything to do in there today because it was a work day and I couldn't even pretend like I was doing anything. I edited someone's press release and then came back to the room. I read my bible until it was time for lunch. I went and ate with Derrick and my friends then Derrick and I came back to my room and hung out until my 2 p.m class. I made him endure Spongebob for a whole hour. In Editorial we didn't really do a lot. The class is almost pointless anymore because we don't really do what is on the syllabus anymore and just talk about random stuff. He did let us out 45 minutes early. Total amount of class time today-5 hrs 45 mins. Total time actually in class- 2 hrs 50 mins. It was definitely a nice day! I thought Kaitlin and I were going to go swimming but it ended up taking her a long time to get her new car so I ended up reading until dinner. I went to Todd and ate with my friends. After we got done eating Morgan and Nora came back over here with Lauren, Justin and I to watch Glee even though Justin bailed. They had me take the cinnamon challenge before and I had the cinnamon almost gone before I took a drink. I actually ate it all though even though it tasted really bad. Kaitlin spit hers out before she finished it. Glee was finally back on tonight so we watched it but it was a little bit of a let down after waiting 2 months to see if Quinn lived which she did but they barely explained what happened and kind of skipped through stuff. Kaci and Megan came over and watched it with us, then we watched New Girl after. The others left after it was over. Dalton came in and said it smelt like hot chocolate and I told him it was probably Kaitlin's scentsy. He went over and touched it and picked up the smell stuff and ended up spilling it all over Kaitlin's desk. When Kaitlin got back, I told her that he made a mess and he came in and was like you snitched on me lol. Derrick came over and hung out. I actually won against him in Words with Friends today even though he almost caught me in the end. After watching Friends with him for awhile, I told him good night and am going to go bed as soon as I get done typing this. Tonight's question is what is the most embarrassing thing you have done recently? This question is actually pretty funny because apparently I am not very skilled around puddles lately because every time there is one in the dining hall or inside somewhere I slip on it. Walking outside tonight, I almost tripped on the steps. Tomorrow's a new day lol.Good night!

Naps are good

It's Monday again but on the sort of bright side that means only 3 more of these and school will be done. Derrick walked me to Studio this morning which actually wasn't to boring because he did a demo with a 4x5 camera. After class, Kaitlin and I made a Wal-Mart run. When we got back, I read my bible until lunch. I went and ate with my friends and Derrick. Katie brought the rest of her pictures from Florida to lunch so I could look at them. Her film camera ones turned out pretty good. After lunch, Derrick and I came back to my room and hung out until our 2p.m. classes. I actually had enough energy to stay awake through Race, Class, Gender today because I got a quick nap in before. Forum was only for juniors today so I got to come back after class and be lazy for the rest of the afternoon even though I probably should have tried to be productive. I did finish getting caught up on my bible reading, pick out my pictures that i am going to submit for Expo and vacuum the floor. At 6 I went and ate dinner with my friends. Justin entertained us with his different voices and impressions. I came back to my room after dinner and started watching Bourne Identity but we weren't quite awake enough to pay attention to it so we just watched Wolverine which is definitely a good movie because I love all X-Men. Justin came in half way through and watched the rest and Kaitlin got back. When it was over the 4 of us went on a walk around the campus. It was pretty entertaining especially when we were walking around the field. Derrick came back up to the room for a little bit but then left for the night. Dalton came in and watched Friends with Kaitlin and I but left after another water battle with Kaitlin. I am so close to hiding the water gun. I can't believe I am still so tired after getting 2 naps in today so I am probably going to head off to bed soon. Tonight's question is what are your five favorite things to do in the summer? 1)Sports Camp!- This will be my 5th year going and I love getting to hang out with the SOMO athletes for the week. 2) Swimming-having a pool in our backyard is definitely nice. 3)go to the lake-most summers we go camping in Rathbun and spend the whole time at the lake, riding on our friend's boat and on their jet ski. 4)NYR-I went last year for the first time and can't wait to go to it in Colorado again this year. 5)Just be outside- it doesn't matter if its running barefoot in the grass or sitting outside at night, I just love the fact that you can be outside any time of the day in the summer and its nice.Well I am off to bed. Christ has risen from the dead

There were three reasons to celebrate this day. Today was Easter, Derrick's birthday and we have been together 2 weeks. We celebrated little Randy's birthday at Grandma's and then since my siblings and I were all together, we celebrated Mom's birthday even though its not until Wednesday. Mom came in and woke me up at a quarter till 9 so of course I had to complain because she didn't give me until 9. We got ready and went to church. I finally got to see and hold my new cousin Asher. He is so cute. We all went down to Grandma's for dinner. Surprisingly I didn't get asked a million questions about Derrick, I just got asked when they were going to get to meet him. After getting to see my family for a while we came back home so Zack, Zoe, and Casen could hunt eggs. I got a quick nap in before Jon and Lyndsi got there. The kids had fun hunting their eggs and the easter bunny was even kind enough to bring me Seasons 5 &6 of Friends plus some candy :). It was time for me to go back to college. I stopped by and saw Sherry for a minute and then was on my way. When I made it back to the burg, I unpacked and then Kaitlin and I ordered pizza for supper. Derrick, Kaci, and Russ came over and watched Anchorman with us. It was very funny. Then we went on a walk when it was over. It was a chilly but not to bad outside. It was a very good day and I am so grateful for Jesus dying on the cross for us. Today's question is what is your favorite disney movie?I love all disney movies but I would have to say either Tangled or Pocahontas. I was definitely a huge Pocahontus and Lion King fan when I was kid and love Tangled when it came out. I did not get today's bible reading done but will hopefully catch up tomorrow. So many easter eggs

Happy Saturday! So my grandma thought that everyone was up when she was this morning and called us all at 9. I was up after that. I went and picked Ashley up and then headed to Kirksville to eat at La pachanga with Amy, Jac and Sam. I have missed my best friends so much! We stayed there for over an hour and a half but what can you expect when we hadn't seen Sam since August and Amy since December. I had to run to walmart to get a birthday present for little randy. As I was leaving, I slipped on a puddle and fell on my knee. I tried to make it look like nothing happened so I jumped up and kept walking but I have a nice little bruise on my knee. I got my hair trimmed and then Ashley and I came home. Brett and Kaci came over to hang out. They brought me a Sonic Strawberry-Watermelon slush :). I knew I kept them around for some reason jk. We watched Ferris Bueller's day off then they abused me with pillows. I definitely dished it back though. It finally ended when I hid the pillows lol. After they left, I colored some Easter eggs and then I had dinner with my family. I went over to my sister's to hang out with her and Zack and Zoe for awhile. She had boiled 54 eggs so guess what we did for 3 hours, dye them! I actually had a lot of fun decorating the eggs with them. We painted, rubber banded, taped and glittered them. I am so glad that I got to spend some time with them tonight because it has been a long time. So Zoe always asks me if I have a boyfriend every time she see me. Tonight she asked me and I was like yes.Then she had to know Derrick's name so after I told her she was like oh good. I was like good because you like his name? She was like I am just glad you're dating lol. Oh this child;s worries for me. Tomorrow is Derrick's birthday and earlier I was like 3 hours till your old and he was like I might buy myself a cane for my birthday. I told him he should and then he was like no I will just wait till your 20th birthday. hehe he's too kind :). Well I am going to do some bible reading and then go to bed. Tonight's question is what is your favorite book? O Pioneer  by Willa Cather or maybe even Captivating. I read O Pioneer in middle school and loved it and I am loving Captivating as we are reading it this semester. Well I am off, good night!

The Glee countdown is on

It's Friday!!As tired as I was this morning I got up and went to Studio anyway. It must of been the day to skip because there were not a lot of people there. After class I came back to my room and packed up my stuff. Kaci pulled her car up and loaded my stuff and said goodbye to Derrick and then Kaci and I left. We stopped in Richmond and ate some lunch at Subway and then headed home. We jammed out to some glee. Mom and Casen came and picked me up at Kaci's house. Casen was so cute today. When we got home and I carried my laundry in, he took my belt and it trying to put it in his pant's belt loop but did not succeed. Mom had some dum dums so he and I enjoyed our suckers and watched some Bug's Life. Jon came and got him after a while. I watched Steel Magnolias-always good. My parents were very kind tonight-Dad grilled pork steak and mom fried some mushrooms that I had been waiting all week for :). Dad of course turned Phineas and Ferb on but I ended up going to my room and watching some Glee reruns. I have to prep myself for it coming back on on Tuesday.I am going to do some bible reading and then go to bed. Tonight's question is what are your distinct preschool memories? This question is even more random then the others lol but I guess I remember a talking christmas tree that would sit in the entrance to preschool and I hated it with a passion. I remember singing jingle bell rock and taking a picture with Krista in our sunglasses. One time we sang this halloween song where a person in the middle would spin around and pick the next halloween character and they would do the same and so on. You were supposed to keep your eyes closed when you choose the person but Krista and I would always keep our eyes a little bit open and choose the other. Those are the main things I remember. Where did he get the blanket?

Well technically it is now Friday but I am still posting for Thursday.So I slept in until 10 today and it was awesome. Ecology just didn't happen and I didn't miss anything either according to the people who were there especially since she just goes over powerpoints that are online. I went to P.R. at 11 and worked on my press release. I got what I could done so I got to leave early again. I went and ate lunch with my friends and Derrick. Kaci, Russ and I worked at Something to Eat at 1. I even got to be the banker for awhile. Yesterday I mentioned how amazed I was at this event but nothing compared to people's reactions today. With today being the last day there were 5,344 total meals packaged. That is about half our goal but that does not even matter because over 30,000 people are going to get a meal soon and God did such amazing things for this campus. Hopefully some lives were touched from this and even better things are in store. Please be praying as these boxes of food have a long journey ahead of them to make it to their destination. After working till a little after 3, I came back to the room and watched Bring It On for a little bit and took a little nap until Kaitlin got back so we could go swimming. The pool was great today because there was hardly anyone there and the water was warm.After we swam for a little bit, Kaitlin and I went and ate with the others at Todd. Derrick came over and hung out after dinner. I must give him props because he sat here and endured Raising Helen until it was time for Kaitlin, Megan and I to leave to go to Titanic. We stopped at Wal-Mart to get snacks and then went to the movie. Soo many high schoolers. After dealing with them on campus all day for some art thing and then dealing with them at the movie, I hope college kids weren't saying that about me last year. They couldn't even sit through Titanic without laughing at pointless parts. Whenever Rose and Jack are in the car, Kaitlin was like where did the blanket come from which definitely made Megan and I laugh. Seeing it in 3-D made me pick out parts of the movie I hadn't noticed before. After it was over, we of course had to sing My Heart Will Go On at the top of our lungs in the car. It was a pretty great Thursday but now sleep is calling my name. Well good night!

Something to Eat

Wednesday!Which means only 3 more class this week separate me from my weekend. This morning, Derrick walked me to Studio. It was a critique day but the teacher started from the bottom so he didn't get to mine. After class I came back to my room and took my quiz and read my bible until I went and met Katie to go to the gym. I complain about working out but I am really glad that Katie encourages me to go. After our workout, I came back to the room and made myself a microwave mac and cheese and then was on my way to go to Something to Eat. I was scheduled to help but I did anyway until I had class at 2. I went to Race, Class, Gender and then came back to Something to Eat. We may not have met our goal yet but God is doing amazing things with this. Over 2000 meals were packaged today making our total about 3800. That means 18,000 and some people are going to get to eat a meal when it gets to them. It was really cool seeing people's expressions as they packaged the food and realize that they are feeding someone who they have never met. Some of us stayed until 6 and then went to dinner. After being next to the rice all day, I was glad to actually eat some cooked rice at dinner. We were talking about middle names and Dalton said his was Pearl and we didn't believe him. He got out his id and showed us. Morgan was like do your parents not like you?100% joking of course. Apparently Pearl runs in his family. I came back to my room after dinner and worked on my press release and some YAC stuff. I see that Over the Edge sign up is open on SOMO so I will probably be doing that this week so that I go Over the Edge in Jeff City next October :).Kelsey found a mushroom and it was in our room. Lauren came in and was like is that brain. At first glance it looked like it. I am excited to go home and eat some this weekend. I went to CCH with my friends and Derrick. Brad had a really good message. After CCH, Derrick and I came back to my room and watched Final Destination 5 with Kaitlin. I had to give Derrick a hard time when he asked about something that was going to happen in the movie because I always ask him whats going to happen in Walking Dead and he won't tell me. He left after it got over. Now I am just finishing up some things before bed. There is no question tonight. well Good night!

Rain is a good thing

I can't believe it's only Tuesday. I felt like it was Wednesday all day. This morning I went to Ecology even though I was tired then I went to P.R. after. I did not have much information to work on my press release so I ended up getting to leave class early. I went and ate lunch with my friends and my boyfriend. Derrick came over and hung out after lunch. We watched Taken which had seen before but its always good. It can be pretty intense when the guy's daughter gets put into sex trafficking. When it got over, we watched Friends and talked. We were supposed to shoot a day in the life for Editorial but it rained all afternoon so he gave us the rest of the week to work on it and I ended up getting to spend my rainy day with Derrick which made it a pretty good day. I called my sister and talked to her for awhile then went and ate dinner at Todd. Everyone was doing something so ended up being Sean, Morgan, Nora and I. After dinner, Derrick, Kaitlin and I watched Fast Five. I had seen most of the other movies but not this one and it was good. Dalton and Kaitlin found the squirt bottle and water gun so needless to say the floor did not stay dry long or neither did each of them. Since my small group is working Something to Eat tomorrow, we met tonight. We had a really good discussion. Captivating is a book I would recommend any girl read. It really makes you think about relationships with other people and with Christ. It is inspiring to me. Audrey said that she could tell God's presence was there tonight which is awesome because I know he is working in our lives. I was thinking about my list that my Grandma had us make at church the first Sunday of the new year. She told us to write our top five desires and pray over them.Then if they happened we could cross them off the list. My first one was go to Florida which happened. My 2nd and 3rd ones are a bit of challenge but God answers our prayers in not always the way we expect. #2 was for Mom to become less stressed. She is retiring after this year so long distance, I feel like that one is able to be crossed off. #3 is to have all of my family back in church. Slowly they are making their way back. My sister told me that she and my niece and nephew would be at church Sunday which makes me so happy. I am very thankful for all God is doing for me.  I still need to finish my bible reading tonight but it will happen when I get off here. Tonight's question is who are your favorite actor and actress? Actress is definitely Sandra Bullock and for actor, I would have to say Darren Criss. Well good night all!

Death by Sprinkles

It's monday again but thank goodness its over because it has been a long day. This morning I did not go to studio because I went to an extra credit thing for P.R. at the same time. If we went, he raised our grade a letter on an assignment we did so I needed that more than going to class. I came back to the room and did my bible reading when it was over. I went and lunch with all my friends but didn't stay to long since me being weird this week and was freezing. Kaci and I came back to my room and talked until Derrick came over to walk me to class. Race, Class and Gender was boring as usual. Dana and I worked in the studio on our next assignment which was a mid-key portrait. It was not a good day for us in the studio because we were dropping everything. I was moving one of the concrete blocks for us that holds up a post when it broke in several pieces and fell against my leg. I thought it was just a a scratch but soon started bleeding but its fine, very minor.When we got done I put all my assignments on the server and printed out my magazine cover. By that time it was time to go eat dinner with the others. When we finished eating, Russ,Kaci, Lauren, Sean and I went to Wood to sign up to usher for the Tempest but there were only 4 spots so I let them because it wasn't that big a deal if I did or didn't. We walked by to see how Something to Eat was going since it started today. God already started working on the campus today by bringing in 883 meals woo! I came back and worked on my paper. It is probably one of the worst I have ever done unfortunately but I didn't have much to work with. Kaitlin put in Raise Your Voice when I got done. It was really good but sad. We went on a walk with Russ and Kaci when it was over. We walked to the football field and laid on the high jump mat looking at the sky for awhile. Russ thought it was important for me to mention on my blog tonight that since I mention embarrassing stuff about everyone else I have to put that I was swinging around the light poles outside singing "New York, New York."lol I did inform them before the walk that I had a lot of energy. When we got back to the dorm, Sean, Lauren and Sam from 5th floor were making a cake. Sean even let Kaitlin and I sample a piece and it was quite good. On Spongebob, there is an episode where he is selling candy bars and one guy yells chocolate!That's been me all week to Kaitlin but I got cake so now I am pretty content :). I told another ghost story lol. In this one Sheen got smothered in sprinkles because he hates them.There were a lot of sprinkles on the cake if I might add. Now I am going to try and go to bed so I am not as exhausted for class tomorrow. Good night!

I have a droid

It's almost Monday :( but God blessed me with a really great weekend so I can't complain. This morning I got up and went to church with Derrick,Kaci, Russ, Katie, Lindsay, Justin and his friend. Justin and I were talking about singing "O happy day" and that was the first song we sang! That was one of God's signs to me today. We also sang shaken and blessed be the name which I love. I even wore a dress to church today,shocker I know lol. So when I left this morning apparently my brain did not register the fact that Kaitlin wasn't going to be there when I got back so I didn't grab my key. Thank goodness for a free lock out. I went and ate lunch with everyone. After lunch we watched the Prestige in my room. It was actually a pretty good movie in the end. Derrick and I watched what was left of kicking and screaming on tv after and then the last few minutes of the miami heat game. Kaitlin got back from work and she and I made a trip to walmart. When we got back, we ate dinner with our friends. I worked on my paper and got it halfway done. I will finish the rest tomorrow. I thought I was going to have a panic attack because my computer shut off suddenly and I hadn't saved my paper in awhile. When I turned it back on, it was all saved except one paragraph which was easy to type back thank goodness. Dalton came in our room and was talking about his phone being dumb and Kaitlin was like do you have an android? Dalton was like no I have a droid. Kaitlin's like those are the same thing lol. The three of us and Derrick and Justin went on a walk around campus. Now I am catching up on my bible reading before I go to bed. My goal is to be at least in bed by 11 so that I am not tired for the week. I have yawned all afternoon so I am sure it won't be that hard getting there. I am very happy to say that I have been dating Derrick for a week today :D. This week actually went pretty fast. O I almost forgot since it was April Fool's day the only person that got me was my dad because he texted me and told me my cat had kittens which wasn't true unfortunately.
